My friend Rosie and I had an amazing experience during this dogsledding, on 15/12. Beautiful route towards the kennel (driving along fjords and into the mountain valley of Tamok) we were very friendly greeted by our guide for today Marcus. Clear covid, safety and gear explanation. And also the schedule of the whole day. The trip was fun, for sure! Adventurous. We could swap half way and we had some time to cuddle our dog dteam and just enjoy where we were: in the middle of nowhere, magic. We ended with a delicious fish soup that is included in a cosy wooden hut with indoor bonfire. The guide friendly thanks us for coming over and joining the dogs during their run, wonderful day! Thanks Tromso Safari;

I really had to persuade my dad to do this but he said he is so glad he did! Hands down the best experience ever. The husky’s are just amazing, so friendly and beautiful. The scenery is put of this world, so nice to be out in the wilderness. The hot drink and cake after was very welcoming too.

It was an extremely enjoyable experience! The guides were knowledgeable and friendly, and provided clear instructions prior to the sledding session so that we were all prepared. It was also great to see that the dogs were well-loved, and seemed to enjoy sledding as much as we do! We did the mushing ourselves, and the initial part involves going uphill, which may be abit tiring for some people. But apart from that, the whole experience was AMAZING, and so were the scenery of the artic wilderness. Will definitely do this again if we were to visit tromso again in future!

This was by far our family's favorite activity - despite the kids being "meh" about it prior. Our kids, including younger son, could've spent the day on the trails with the dogs. If you're nervous or hesitant because you have kids, don't be! Make sure this excursion/activity is on your list.

Hello, hello, hello! Thank you very much for taking the time of writing these words about our activity! We are more than happy to hear that you and your children had a great time! And you are a 100% right! As long as the kids are 10 years old, there is absolutely nothing to worry about, except maybe cuteness overload!

Best thing I’ve ever done! Honestly if you’re in tromso and love dogs- go. They’re such happy friendly animals who absolutely love their jobs. The staff are amazing and tell you exactly what to do. You’re in total control and are out on your own and it’s so so much fun. I’d give 10 stars if I could. So nice to have so much fun and with dogs who are so well cared for. Highly recommend - thanks for a brilliant day. (Also, id have bought Storm home if I could have)

I mean what's not to like, petting good bois and girls and having a trip trough wonderful scenery. Also it's very good to see that the dogs are being taken care of very well and are being loved by the whole team and it's not just a business. 100% recommend doing this.

I can`t think of a single most rewarding way to spend the day other than experiencing dog-sledding with Tromsø Safari. And I am writing this while well aware that several operators in the area offer similar trips, but the deep love and respect shown by their partner Anne-Stine at Tromsø Huskies certainly stands them apart. She knows each and every one of her 141 beautiful, enthusiastic, energetic, healthy and fit Alaskan Huskies. Humans and dogs interact with each other truly as one big family, one where mutual affection and understanding prevails.

On top of that, the landscape where the sledding trails have been opened is stunningly beautiful and varied, with some uphills (…push!), downhills (yee-hah!) as well as flat stretches (relax and enjoy the stunning view). Yes, weather-wise we had a day to die for, and that was the icing on the cake, but in any weather (the real Arctic feel, anyone…?) the fun and joy of dogsledding with those darling huskies will be one oft he most uplifiting experiences of your life. Had there been a "repeat" button there and then, I would have pushed it right away. E

The tour was well set up and the guides which were all friendly and helpful.

After about 45mins on a coach you get to the location , you go straight up for a safety briefing and told all about what to do and not to do. Then you get put in pairs, if your solo like me you will get put with another solo person or a guide.
You then put on your winter suite and if you want boots which they provide.

You are given a bit of wood with a number of your dog team on it.
You go outside and find your team of dogs and sleigh and I had about 10mins to fuss the dogs and take a few photos.

We then set of, I was paired with a guy who didn't understand any English so that was challenging.

We spent just under 1hr on the sleigh out with the dogs going along a track through some wooded areas. The views were good despite the heavy snow and you swap a couple of times.

It was an amazing experience and fun, although sometimes a bit messy/smelly on the track at times but that's to be expected.

The dogs are amazing and love to run but you do need to get off quite a lot and give them a hand up hills so you do need moderate fitness. But that is all part of being a team.

When you get back in you get 10mins or so to fuss the dogs and get a couple more photos then you go and get changed back into your own clothes and then down for a quick cup of hot chocolate and cake then it back on the coach to Tromso.

I would highly recommend this trip although a bit more time to fuss all the dogs would of been nice but obviously with the amount of people doing this activity throughout the day time is limited. And the dogs welfare is the only priority.

So thank you for this special experience.
