Fjord Cruise with Arctic Wildlife Sightings from Tromso
From US$149.84
Overview
A fjord cruise from Tromso practically ensures that you'll see some of the Arctic region's most wonderful wildlife. Sail the Arctic waters in a classic wooden boat while searching the sky for seabirds and sea eagles and the water for dolphins, pilot whales, and more. Your guide offers context into wildlife behavior while you keep warm with a hot bowl of soup and freshly caught fish.
What to Expect
Your tour begins in the center of Tromso, where you meet your guide before boarding the classic wooden boat Fjord Queen.

Settle into a cozy cabin or go up on deck to admire the pristine Arctic fjords as you leave the harbor. Look out for wildlife, such as sea eagles, guillemots, eider ducks, cormorants, seals, otters, small pilot whales, and dolphins. In spring and summer, you can also spot puffins out fishing. Your guide is on hand to point out the names of all the wildlife you spot and to answer any questions.

Enjoy delicious freshly caught Arctic cod, soup, hot drinks, and other snacks while enjoying the views as you cruise.

Afterward, your tour concludes back at the original departure point.

Amazing crew and beautiful scenery

The fjords in Tromso are an amazing sight and nothing better to visit than a comfortable cruise with plenty of snacks, storytelling, fishing, and an incredible crew. The only sad thing is that the whales haven't been visiting that area in recent years.

Quite the Cruise

On the boat, you get told interesting facts about Northern Norway. You get to fish (I did catch a fish). Plenty of perfect opportunity to take pictures. The soup was tasty! Would highly recommend this tour.

Sea Eagles!!!

Got lucky, you could say. White tailed eagles, tonnes of sea birds, a few fish and calm waters. There is no doubt this is a very polished tour company who know the environment and how to introduce it to the guests. Their upbeat attitude even...More

Best Daytrip While I was in Tromso

I was a little worried at first because they predicted 40 mph winds the day of my trip...but let me tell you, I couldn't have had a better experience even with the windy/rainy weather. The skyline, the sunshine, the rainbows, the sea eagles, the fish...More

Hello, we were there in May and I believe it was not too busy. The boat is owned by a couple and they are wonderful hosts and knowledgeable. Enjoy your trip!
