Fjord Cruise with Arctic Wildlife Sightings from Tromso
US$157.02
Overview
A fjord cruise from Tromso practically ensures that you'll see some of the Arctic region's most wonderful wildlife. Sail the Arctic waters in a classic wooden boat while searching the sky for seabirds and sea eagles and the water for dolphins, pilot whales, and more. Your guide offers context into wildlife behavior while you keep warm with a hot bowl of soup and freshly caught fish.
What to Expect
Your tour begins in the center of Tromso, where you meet your guide before boarding the classic wooden boat Fjord Queen.

Settle into a cozy cabin or go up on deck to admire the pristine Arctic fjords as you leave the harbor. Look out for wildlife, such as sea eagles, guillemots, eider ducks, cormorants, seals, otters, small pilot whales, and dolphins. In spring and summer, you can also spot puffins out fishing. Your guide is on hand to point out the names of all the wildlife you spot and to answer any questions.

Enjoy delicious freshly caught Arctic cod, soup, hot drinks, and other snacks while enjoying the views as you cruise.

Afterward, your tour concludes back at the original departure point.

Beautiful Scenery, but Mediocre Tour

We had a beautiful cool, crisp September day for our tour. We were offered, and accepted, warm parkas, without which most of us would have been cold. We toured down the fjord. It was hard to tell if there was any serious attempt to find...More

We just finished the Fjord Wildlife Cruise with Polar Adventures. We cruised the fjords, stopped to fish, searched for animals, and ate some wonderful fish soup. We didn’t see much wildlife on the cruise, but the crew made this a wonderful trip. We saw 2...More

We read many wonderful reviews of this tour before seeking it out for booking, and it certainly lived up to the descriptions. I had questions prior to booking, and responses to communications were prompt and informative. The weather was not cooperative on our port day,...More
