Small-Group Aurora Hunt Northern Lights Tour from Tromso
US$207.23
Overview
The Northern Lights are notoriously hard to predict, even in Tromso. So it makes sense to increase your chances of a sighting by joining a guided excursion, especially if you’re only in Tromso briefly. This tour delivers—a guide chooses a prime viewpoint according to the day’s weather and you'll enjoy soup beside a firelit camp as you watch. A drop-off back at your hotel afterward is included.
What to Expect
Begin your tour in central Tromso, setting off into the outlying fells by air-conditioned vehicle. Your tour may take you across the border into Finland if conditions require, so passports are required.

On route, your guide uses local knowledge to select a good viewing point. Having chosen it, they'll set up camp and light a bonfire, so you can watch for the lights in the warmth and comfort.

Enjoy a homemade soup and scan the skies. You may need to wait for a brief sighting; or you may be lucky enough to witness an extended display. As you watch, hear background on this natural wonder from your guide.

If you want to take photos, get advice from your guide on capturing the best shots. You’ll also receive souvenir photos after your tour to take home with you.

Your outing finishes with a hotel drop-off back in Tromso.

dancing lights of the north

We felt very good in our trip. That's because we saw the aurora and nothing else mattered. It was cold but our guide was nice and helpful.

Well organized and lovely experiencd

We joined the trip the last day of the season, and still saw amazing Aurora! Fantastic experience all throughout. Forgot my phone during the tour, and the staff was very helpful to keep it safe for me until the next day. Thank you!

Very disappointed

We started out being extremely optimistic about our tour with Wandering Owl, given the great reviews and reputation that they drive until they find the lights. This is not what happened on April 6th. Our tour guide was very kind and entertaining, but it seemed...More

Hi Jenn, We´re sorry to hear that you were so disappointed about the tour. Our aim is definitely, as you write, to find a place with the northern lights. Sometimes this means driving from one location to another, but other times we just need to...More

I booked 3 nights in a row. Viewing and taking pictures of Northern Lights were the main purpose for my trip so I gave myself all the chances. It's possible that you don't see them on a given night (the sky can be cloudy all... More
