About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- hayleyking19850 contributionsOur second trip with Jet Adventures didn't disappoint!Following on from our Scroby Sands trip last year, this year we headed south to Pakefield. Once again we were treated to wearing the fabulous orange waterproofs (a must to wear because you do get very wet). We also paid a visit to the Kittiwake hotels off shore, which was great to see close up! An amazing 45mins to celebrate a family birthday! Thank you again to John and Jas for making the day another memorable one!!Written September 20, 2024

- A9937CKstuartw0 contributionsA harbour tour not to be missed.Stunning, and time & money well spent. You see views of the harbour, including old wrecks, structures and semi-derelict shipyards that have lain there for aeons and are impossible to get close to by any other means. At all times you remain in calm harbour waters so no threat to those of delicate disposition. The running commentary is very informative and second to none. Getting on and off the inflatable is quite easy so 100% mobility is not a problem - but if unsure of your ability then please check with the company. Seriously, it's not to be missed.Written June 18, 2024
- RN2420 contributionsRemote and good for that..Great views of these seriously smelly seals! A good leg stretch from the local pub along a good footpath. An easy walk to Winterton and backWritten June 10, 2024
- markj6590 contributionsAmazing and exhilarating day outWe were met by the very enthusiastic Jet Adventures team who greeted us like long lost family members. They were very knowledgeable on our intened route and put my mind at ease with a very thorough safety talk. On the trip we were checked on regularly and all questions were answered. We had a fantastic time and will definitely do it again in warmer weather.Written March 13, 2024

- R9440XEsarahs0 contributionsExhilarating experience! The sea was quite rough so we didn't get as far as seeing the seals! So we were treated to going along the coast. It was a really good experience of big waves and lots of sea spray! We were well cared for and felt safe. We were offered a part refund or another trip as we didn't see the seals.Written January 7, 2024

- CarronJC0 contributionsTop TripTop Trip. Completely wonderful. Perfect hosts (Fliss and John). Boat ride fun and not scary. Definitly needed the warm layers and provided waterproofs for the late Septmber trip. Bonus view of the 1930s Lydia May - a steam driven sidewinder trawler. Lots of seals. Camera with long range lens recommended for good pics. Plenty of curious seals came over to see us too. So peaceful while bobbling around in the ocean when the engine was off.Written October 2, 2023
- Sam P0 contributionsSealsPopped down to the beach hoping to see the seals. Costs £3.50 to park for 2hrs or £5 for 4 hours. We'll worth paying the £3.50 to see the seals. Loads seals on the beach and in the water. Beautiful sand and easy access to beach.Written September 26, 2023

All of it !!! Absolutely excellent time. Can’t wait to go again. Great value for money 🤩 engined turned off so we could take loads of photos of the seals when we arrived accompanied with Digestive Biscuits. Crew were extremely professional and we had such a fun day with them.

Great trip and full of grins!
This was a surprise birthday trip. Bought directly from their website for a bit less than prices advertised here.
I LOVED the bumpy ride and even my seasick-husband WASN'T seasick AT ALL. Apparently, they've never had a problem because you're too busy watching the ships and seals and gulls
Captain John also likes to make you smile with a bit of seafaring swinging....left and right of course
The seals are lovely.
A really good fun trip.

Bumpy rides and a bit of swinging (!) are the best and thanks for letting people know about the sea sickness – we always say that but not sure they believe us!

absolutely fantastic afternoon spent with Jet adventures had an amazing trip to Scroby to see the seals . Crew extremely friendly and helpful with commentary on points of interest in the harbour then once out into open sea things got a lot faster.
You can hire waterproofs for a small fee which was worth doing as got a little wet on the way back.
Really can't recommend Jet adventures enough anyone would have a great time will definitely be going again

We live in Lowestoft but seeing the harbour and local coastline from a different perspective was fascinating for me. Coupled with the exhilaration of the speed of the boat on the open sea, stopping to watch the seals at Scroby, seeing the wind turbines close up and all at a very reasonable price. We also had a commentary from the Skipper on the history of the harbour and its businesses.
We would recommend this activity as a great experience, well worth the money.

There was a warm and friendly welcoming as soon as we arrived for our trip. After a life jacket fitting and safety talk we were taken to the boat, once seated we were off. We went on a slow and very informative ride to Lowestoft Harbour, told to keep seated, to hold on and then the thrill of the open seas greeted us. John would slow down or even stop if he thought we were likely to see a porpoise, any wrecks or anything interesting. We then went on to where the seals were with a few fast turns left and right bringing smiles to faces. We stopped, engine off, and watched the seals for a while, or were they watching us??? 😊Then we had a blast back along the coast to the harbour. A good trip and well worth the price, definitely recommend it if you get the chance.

Great value for money, the teens enjoyed the adrenaline thrill of the boat whizzing and bouncing across the waves towards the seals and then when we anchored down we were spoilt for seals! Some even got brave enough to peer into the boat. We even had lots of information given to us throughout from the skipper!

I went on Friday 25/08 with John the Skipper and Jas. 30 mins on the speedboat at over 25mph up the coast (10 miles north past Hopton to Yarmouth and 2 miles to Scroby Sands wind farm). Had 30 mins with lots of seals popping up, breaching etc. Be there 30 mins early for safety briefing and life jacket fitting. Lovely trip, loved the wind in my hair, John, his wife and Jas are lovely people. I felt safe and had enough time with the seals. Highly recommended!

We booked initially for the first Saturday in November, but the weather was cold and rainy. We were given the option of going then or delaying till today, which we chose.
Staff were amazing and informative and the weather was amazing for November. The trip outwards was bracing. When we anchored off the sands, we could see the seals on the beach and loads of them went into the water to come and investigate us.
Really hard to photograph, as they popped their heads up and down so fast, but they were very inquisitive. It felt very much that the experience was on their terms, which was wonderful.
Great ride back. I would absolutely recommend this tour

Wow! This was the highlight of our holiday. Easy to book and lots of information given via email prior to the activity so we knew what to expect and to wear. We came in full waterproof clothing, as recommended; however, it seemed that there were some waterproof jackets for those who didn’t have them. I highly recommend taking their advice as, even though it was a pleasant day, there were unexpected waves and we got very wet! Everyone got a life jacket too (even someone’s assistant dog). During, the staff were very friendly, taking the time to speak to each individual and making sure they were getting the most of the experience and answer any questions we had. Seeing as many seals as we did was just amazing! We were anchored a little while away from the sand bank (so not to frighten the seals or encroach on their territory) but the seals soon came up to the boat to say hello! Thank you so much for a great experience.

Hello,
do you take 2,5 years old and the 4 months baby on the board?
Kind regards

Check with the website, but you would need to consider how you would keep the youngest two safe and be able to hold on yourself at the same time. The boat can go quite fast and it can be a bumpy ride.
