About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Leonardo M0 contributionsGreat experience!Brad was an amazing guy, he was very friendly and helpful and made sure everything went smooth in every winery we visited.Written July 16, 2023
- madeleineb9640 contributionsGreat TourDave is a really nice guide who knows the places to be well. We had enough time at every winery and got crackers and cheese on top. Thanks for the nice experience!Written September 29, 2022
- MargaretM1920 contributionsExcellent tourAbsolutely loved being taken round four wineries by Dave. Each one was very different, but nice to taste so many good wines. Such a shame that they are only sold in Canada as they were as good as many other wines we have tasted throughout Europe. Dave picked us up exactly when he said he would and told us some interesting things about each winery before we got to it. Definitely a very pleasant way to spend an afternoon in Kelowna.Written August 18, 2022
- wbridle0 contributionsRun don’t walk to take a Red Dog Wine TourDave Dmytryshyn simple the best you most definitely have to take this tour when in Kelowna, we booked a private tour with Dave and it was simply amazing. Dave told us the history of the wineries and ensured we went to the wineries we were most interested in. There was no rush to get us to the next winery. He packed cheese, crackers and chocolate to pair with some of the wines and ensured our purchases were kept cool. DEFINITELY A MUST DO TOUR WITH RED DOG WINE TOURS!Written July 12, 2022
- KAPatton0 contributionsGreat Wine TourIt was a great day wine touring. Our driver was Kevin and he was fabulous! Friendly, took great pictures and was amazing to have driving for our girls getaway wine tour! Mt Boucherie Wine tasting was a great experience. Knowledgeable staff, didn’t feel rushed and great selection of wines to taste. Modest Butcher lunch stop - the food was delicious! Black Swift winery was also great! Tasting occurred while sitting at a table, some time between rounds to savour the wines and talk with our group. Music was a bit loud to hear about the wines but not too bad. Frind Winery - what a terrible experience. Barely a mouthful of wine to taste, in and out in under 10 minutes. For a group of 7 - this was rushed and left a bad taste in my mouth - and that wasn’t from the wine. I barely got a taste to know if any of the wines were worth purchasing as a result, I didn’t buy anything! Won’t be back to this winery. So many to offer in and around Kelowna leaving a bad experience with guests just sends us elsewhere. Last winery was Quails Gate. Great wine, great experience. Vineyard is so beautiful! We took a bottle (or 2) and enjoyed them in out exploring the vineyard. Rained pretty hard, but we were able to find cover along the path! Red Dog tours was great with communication and arranging everything for us! Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking to book a tour!Written June 24, 2022
- Shayna L0 contributionsAbsolutely amazing !Awesome day! Dave was great ! He knew LOADS about the area and you could tell every experience is personalized ! We will be back with friends ! Thanks cool Dave !!!Written June 14, 2022
- Jack S0 contributionsA Great Way to Experience West Kelowna's WineriesAfter several trips to Kelowna we finally decided to go on a winery tour and couldn’t be happier with the decision. Since it was a weekday in the off-season, we were able to make the reservation on short notice (the day before the tour). Communication with Dave, the owner, was seamless. We were picked up at the Delta Grand, a short walk from where we were staying (tip - you aren’t limited to the pickups in the dropdown menu, select “other” and make sure Dave is picking you up at your location). After checking vaccine status we were off. Throughout the drive Dave was great to talk with, sharing his knowledge of Kelowna and the wineries. We went to four different wineries on the tour and throughly enjoyed each. Since we were in the “shoulder seasons” my wife and I were the only people on the tour. Dave found a nice balance of visiting with us and giving us time to ourselves - I’m sure he would accommodate more or less depending on your preference, but we enjoyed the conversation. He helped out by taking our purchases out to the van while we wrapped up at each location. At the more picturesque locations he pointed us to the best places for photographs as well. If you find yourself in Kelowna with some extra time, I would highly recommend Red Dog Wine Tours. I understand that Dave plans on continuing to offer tours through the winter. Based on our experience in October, smaller crowds at the wineries gives you more time to relax and enjoy the trip. Make sure to eat before the tour starts; although there was one opportunity for snacks along the way, we were happy to have some food on board before commencing the wine tasting.Written October 17, 2021
- Peter C0 contributionsBest wine tour !10/10 Me and my girlfriend went on this tour. Dave picked us up at our front door and brought us to 4 different wineries. Couldn’t recommend his service enough, everything was great.Written August 16, 2021
- Isabellevf0 contributionsAmazing Wine Tour ExperienceOur wine tour was very fun! Every stop was on time and the bus was very clean, with stocked water bottles and a cooler for the wine we bought. Dave was very informative when driving around and very welcoming when we got on the bus! Would definitely recommend and book other tours with Red Dog Wine Tours!Written August 6, 2021

- ewanstott_910 contributionsPolite, friendly and highly entertaining wine tour. Our wine tour with Dave was fantastic! Dave picked us up from our accommodation whilst providing us with a well organised and fun afternoon hopping around vineyards. Dave’s knowledge of the local area is a force to be beckoned with! He was polite, friendly and kept us entertained for the trip - our best wine tour yet! Highly recommended. Thanks!Written September 13, 2020
- deborahn2690 contributions5-wineries-in-3hours tourDave from Red Dog was a great guide - very knowledgeable and helpful. This is no doubt a tough gig - picking up groups, driving them to different wineries, going over the same information, every time. Overall, a great experience.Written August 16, 2020
- janitalee0 contributionsWine me up!Thanks to Red Dog Wine Tours & our fabulous guide John we had a lovely day. Crossing the floating bridge from Kelowna to Kelowna West. An intimate group with just 6 on the tour, visiting 5 wineries and sampling many wines. Besides great wine we enjoyed great company and gorgeous scenery. The perfect way to spend a overcast, drizzly afternoon, our first one. My favourite was the Indigenous Winery, however they all had something great to offer and with Johns great knowledge and fun banter we all had an awesome day!Written October 7, 2019
- sonnyp1320 contributionsSome felt like quantity over qualityWe recently did the red dog wine tour. We visited 5 vineyards, and in the timeframe this is too many. We went to indigenous wines and Hillside and both were very rushed (to be fair, by the winery) and left feeling slightly unwell after tasting 5 wines at each. I only booked red dog as when I did the website mentioned the possibility to visit Mission Hill and Quails Gate. Luckily we did visit both but only did tasting at Quails. We were told that tasting is no good at mission, but given their wines are great I find this hard to believe. Overall the tour was fine - but a few of the wineries are $5 tastings. And you get a $5 feel. It would’ve been happier paying the same price and just tasting at Mission Hill and Quails GateWritten September 20, 2019
- FPF20130 contributionsA fine tour with Red DogWe booked at 9.30am, Dave picked us up from oir hotel on time at 1.30. We had a full bus of 10 good folk from Canada, Uk and Australia. Five wineries visited, good wines too. Dave's knowledge was good giving us a fine guided tour of the area, and history of the wine industry. There are several tours to choose from, but others seemed overpriced. This one did everything it promised, plus an extra winery. We have done several wine tours in Europe and New Zealand. This one was up with the best, we recommend it to all readers.Written September 19, 2019

Had a relaxing afternoon going to 4 different wineries in West Kelowna. Our tour guide was informative and friendly. The scenery was stunning with beautiful places to stop and soak it in! The wine teased our tastebuds giving us a better appreciation and understanding of the tantalizing liquid! I highly recommend Red Dog tours to people visiting the area!!

We had an amazing experience with Red Dog Wine Tours yesterday! We went on a four hour tour with a small group (pictured) and visited four wineries, all of which were great choices. Dave was an incredible tour guide who went above and beyond and made the experience fun for the group. He not only picked us up right at the door of where we each were staying in a very spacious van, but he even made an extra stop to go back to Quail’s Gate after my boyfriend realized he wanted to buy a bottle of wine he didn’t get when we first visited the winery. At our second winery, he had a package of cheese, a few crackers, and two pieces of dark chocolate for each of us to pair with our wines! Dave also let our group stay a bit longer than the scheduled time at the final winery to allow us to eat our pizza and finish up some of the wine that was bought. Overall, this was a fantastic experience and I’d recommend Red Dog Wine Tours to anyone visiting Kelowna who wants a great wine tasting experience!

Great experience with Red Dog! Our driver and host (sorry we forgot to ask your name!) was promptly on time, very knowledgeable and easy to chat with. They provided us with a little packet of crackers, cheese and chocolate to pair with the wines. You'll want to Unfortunately the weather wasn't cooperative the day we went, so our tastings were all indoors. Our host was kind enough to drop one of the other guests off at their hotel when they were feeling unwell between tastings. I would highly recommend using Red Dog Wine Tours!

This was a perfect sized group (8) and length of time (4 hrs) for a wine tour. Dave was a great guide, personable, knowledgeable and prompt. He took us to a nice selection of wineries, larger and smaller. It was very relaxing, Dave gave us time to chill and we didn't feel rushed. He also had cold bottled water available and gave us a really nice snack to go with our wine at one of our stops.

A great afternoon spent with Dave, driving around the beautiful vineyards. A good range were chosen for the trip, with smaller individual and large producers.
Dave was a great host, extremely knowledgeable about the local area and provided excellent communication . The bus was spotlessly clean and water and snacks were provided.

Myself, along with my 4 girl friends, went on the Red Dog afternoon wine tour last September. From the pick up at our condo right to the drop off after the tour, we had such an awesome time. All the wineries we went to were great with a perfect variety of different types of wines and environment at each one. Our tour guide/driver was very fun and definitely accommodating to some of our silliness and excitement, which made the day that much more enjoyable to be ourselves and let loose!
We would all recommend this tour and would use Red Dog again 100%

We had a wonderful time on this tour! Cherry, our guide, was absolutely fantastic: she knew all about the wineries and the wines, and very fun and easy-going and made us comfortable during the whole tour. I can't recommend this enough! This was one of the highlights of our trip to Kelowna. If you want to have a good time visiting Kelowna or West Kelowna's wineries, you have to book a tour with Red Dog!

My wife and I signed up with Red Dog Wine Tours for a half-day tour in the Kelowna area. This was our first time in the BC wine region, and we had an absolutely amazing time. Dave our tour guide was extremely personable and knowledgeable, and made our experience very memorable. We went to four different wineries, each unique in their own way. Several of the wineries have restaurants and dining areas that we would like to explore on our next visit. Dave is extremely knowledgeable on the area in general and on the wineries specifically. We have been on other wine tours in other areas and this was one of the best. We are planning another visit next spring with our extended family and we will definitely be signing up with Red Dog Wine Tours.

Yup should be fine. Obviously the best time is the warmer months. But you will probably find better hotel rates in the off season.
