About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Travel4682470 contributionsUse this place. It will improve your holiday!Paulo provided a very professional no nonsense service. The equipment was top notch and his advice was spot on! My boots fit prefectly and were super confortable. Plus I've never ever skied as well a i did using their skis. In all, i can't rate this ski hire place high enough!Written April 12, 2024
- N3576OGdans0 contributionsExcellent equipment rental, better adviseWe rented skis, poles and ski boots for 3 days of skiing in Cortina. The team was friendly, spoke English (thank you! Sorry we couldn’t speak Italian!), efficient and well organized. Our equipment was excellent, the skis perfectly tuned. The shop is only a few minutes’ walk from the Faloria car. Best of all, the team advised us on snow conditions and the best locations to ski relating to the weather which made a big, big difference. We had a fantastic 3 days of skiing, snow all three days. And Boarderline’s suggestion of 5 Torri on our last day proved prescient. It was absolutely amazing, best afternoon of skiing we have ever had. Grazie mille to Team Boarderline!Written March 30, 2024
- Davide B0 contributionsExcellent rental service in Cortina d’AmpezzoFriendly staff, competitive prices and overall great service. They also offer you the option of leaving your equipment at their location overnight and to collect it the morning after, completely free of charge. Will definitely rent my skis from them again on my next trip to Cortina.Written March 3, 2024
- Eqbal A0 contributionsA 1000/10 ski and snowboard experience 🔥Simply the best of the best service there is! The process of booking was super smooth and easy and even on bad weather conditions, they were able to help and assist us whenever we needed assistance. Definitely coming again in Nov 😍👍🏻Written February 24, 2024
- Ronnie F0 contributionsThe best ski rental and service we've ever hadWe rented skis and boots from Boarderline. The equipment was extremely high quality and very well maintained. The staff couldn't be more friendly and helpful, particularly Paulo who gave us lots of tips for the resort. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend Boarderline.Written February 9, 2024
- Curious536867962510 contributionsFast and very convenient ski rentalI made a ski rental reservation online, and once I arrived at the shop I was setup with exactly with the skis I wanted in less than 10 minutes. The skis turned out to be perfect for a week in the Dolomites. The staff was extremely helpful, especially Paolo. Great service, central location, great selection.Written February 8, 2024
- johnathanp8670 contributionsBest PEOPLE and rental service in Cortina!!This place had absolutely EVERYTHING we needed. A 171 board for both us (as we're both over 6'3"/6'5"), goggles which I bought, and a mens XXL helmet to fit my enormous head. Paolo was the greatest. Gave us tips which came in handy, called us a taxi to the slopes, and even called ahead for a reservation set with the best restaurant in the town, when we were done for the day. As far as Green Book reviews go (traveling while Black) this place and much of the town I'd rate as 5 stars.Written January 30, 2024
- erikasB9335TF0 contributionsThey've got it allIf you want a seamless rental experience then Boarderline is the one! Very accommodating and generous with their time. He even helped call us a cab to our hotel which was super helpful. Will come again!Written January 19, 2024
- Daniel H0 contributionsMust stop for snowboarders !!!Stopping at Boarderline was the best thing that could happen to us at a Ski Trip. We stopped there because the skrulls of my board were broken. There we met Paolo, the owner. He is not only very attentive, nice and helped us but also is the biggest snowboard specialist i ever met. He reccomended me a few changes on my board angles and the way i was skiing and after less than a week is impressive how much better im doing it. (I was already expert level and he managed to make me much better even without skiing by my side) If i stopped here would be already good. But he also reccomended us restaurants, other places to ski after Cortina and everything he reccomended us was extremely good. I can only thank him and reccomend him (and his team, who were also great with us) to everyone that is going to Cortina. 👏🏼👏🏼Written December 25, 2023
- 412rogero0 contributionsSnow rackets experience 🏂❄️Staff were very attentive and professional, they give us good advice. In addition, they recommend us some nice routes to do with the snow rackets. In case we were back, we will repeat the same establishment! Great discovery 😁Written December 9, 2023
- Relax490569730770 contributionsFantastic! We had a great experience with Boarderline! Paulo and his crew took exceptional care of us and made sure all our needs were taken care of. From fitting ski pants and helmets to the size of the snowboard. I highly recommend!Written December 6, 2023
- 307shubhamc0 contributionsOne stop for all your Ski needs !One of the best experiences I had so far. Me and my friend arrived in Cortina around sunset, we wanted to rent out Ski gear, get a Ski instructor and chalk out a plan for the next 5-6 days. Paolo patiently explained to us the logistics and quite frankly covered all the details we needed to know (shout out to Paolo). Boarderline has a wide variety of equipments and gears, they have discounted prices if you are renting for a longer duration. They have collaboration with a local Ski School, so you can request for an instructor if you need one. We were lucky to have Alice as our Ski coach, she is fantastic with her observation and can precisely explain what we need to improve on, sometimes from a scientific lens which helps in visualisation (shout out to Alice). All in all, defo a go-to place for anything Ski related.Written December 4, 2023
- ACorn15M0 contributionsSimply the bestI booked ski hire for our group of six based on the trip advisor reviews. These guys really are the best. We arrived in Cortina on Friday lunchtime when they would normally be closed, they stayed open for us and got us fitted out with boots/skis in no time so we could get straight onto the slopes. It was the most efficient boot/ski fitting ever. They are just so friendly and helpful and the kit is excellent. I didn’t bring my own boots this year and the pair I rented were much comfier! Giorgio was always available on what’s app with help and advice. Definitely rent from Boarderline!Written April 7, 2023
- 259aislingh0 contributionsAmazing snowboard rental and lessonsWe rented snowboards from Borderline to go snowboarding for the first time. The whole team was so helpful and we decided to get a lesson from them on the first morning. Matteo was an amazing teacher and so encouraging and we ended up having so much fun on the slopes for the rest of the time we were there. I will definitely be coming back to them the next time I am in Cortina!Written April 4, 2023
- arunnsri0 contributionsExcellent Service and Quality EquipmentExcellent ski/snowboard rentals from Centro Boarderline - would highly recommend! We arrived late on the Sunday night and Paulo and his squad were kind enough to keep the store open late for us, meaning we could start the week straight on the slopes the next morning. We were measured and sorted within the hour, given a number of recommendations about places to eat and the different routes/difficulties on the slopes, and even had a taxi ordered for us to take us to our hotel with all the equipment. Ours skis and snowboards served us well and after a quick check, all items returned without any qualms at the end of the week. We had an excellent time in Cortina and will definitely be using Centro Boarderline again when we inevitably return! 10/10.Written March 20, 2023

We had some snow in June and threw snowballs. You are right on the edge of a cliff after two lifts. A great refugio restaurant offers everything from drinks to cold sandwhichs or hot food, A do not miss experience though tickets are not cheap.

Terrible experience, I’ve never had to deal with such rude customer service in my life. My snowboard binding broke when I got off the lift stranding me at the top of the mountain (I was 3 lifts up at this point, at the mountain peak, with no way down). The lift attendant managed a miracle temp fix with his pocket knife to get me down the mountain. When I returned to the shop, I asked if could get a refund for just that one day of my reservation day since my day had been completely shot which I thought was a fairly reasonable ask. Instead, I was cussed at by the owner and told it was not their problem that the binding broke. Paolo, “the boss”, gave all of the following incoherent reasons why I didn’t deserve a refund:
- “I fixed the binding in 3 minutes” - I was apparently somehow supposed to do the same at the top of a mountain without any tools, parts, or expertise
- “You could have called us” suggesting he would climb to the top of the mountain to fix the binding and then promptly followed that with “obviously I’m not going to come up there and fix your binding”
- “Whatever happens once you leave the store is your problem” washing his hands of all accountability for sending me up a mountain with faulty equipment
- “These things happen and it’s not our fault. Our boots have been exploding because they’ve been sitting around unused since Covid” insinuating he’s sitting on a pile of shoddy equipment he knows is bad but continues to rent out anyways
- When he finally conceded I was entitled to a “symbolic discount”, I asked how much to which he said “I’m the f***ing boss! I decide how much you get!”
The next day I returned my gear and he said that he had reflected on yesterday and decided to give me 7 euros back…I would have preferred an honest slap in the face. After handing it to me he told me that I forgot to say “thank you”…

Good morning Cameron,
it is with great surprise that we read your review as yesterday afternoon it was our understanding that everything had been resolved following your response upon receiving partial refund.
However, It seems pertinent that we clarify the steps of this experience, as we pride ourselves on 30 years of excellent customer service and feel your review to be one-sided.
You rented the equipment (snowboard with binding) and you checked with us at check-in that everything was in order and in perfect condition (check your signature on the contract).
You utilized this equipment with no problems and after a few days of equipment rental you were inconvenienced with the loose screw (not lost but loosened) of the cap strap of the binding. This occured on the top of the mountain and you found a man to assist you and remedy this "temporarily" with his personal pocketknife ( at a temperature of -16 degrees). He attempted the repair, trying to accomodate you and he succeeded fully (it was therefore sufficient to tighten a screw that had become loose)
You would have gone down the slope because the cap strap is NOT essential for the descent but without experience, you chose another option. The problem was solved but we also did replace with a new pair of cap straps. You then asked for a full days refund, this felt unwarranted to our staff. As we explained to you at the time of check-in, (As I recall, you were distracted at the check-in on your phone) nonetheless, the whatsapp number is on each and every piece of equipment that we rent for exact situations as this. In this way, we are able to communicate with our valued customers and help to resolve issues (even when they are on the mountain). We also have staff ( ski school staff, instructors and colleagues that are on site at various locations that could have assisted you.
We, at Boarderline, feel that your review misrepresents this situation, and although we are saddened that you have written this review, we feel it unwarranted. That being said, we thought to have found a compromise with you and a partial refund, as well as a glass of wine and your smile indicated that we had come to an agreement.
We wish you the best
