Overview
This Big Island of Hawaii tour makes it easy to see the isle’s top attractions in just one day. Travel by private van to parks, historical sites, and farms, as a guide fills you in on Hawaii’s history and culture—information independent visitors might miss. Plus, this small-group tour is capped at 15 people for a friendlier experience than big-bus competitors.
What to Expect
Begin your Big Island tour with pickup from you Kona or Waikoloa hotel. Fun facts and commentary from your guide—plus scenic views—make the drive fly by.

First, travel by van to the Kaloko-Honokohau National Historical Park and pass by petroglyph sites, sacred temples, and a beach known for its sea turtles.

Then, travel to Kona to see Mokuaikaua Church and Kealakekua Bay, followed by a trip to Big Island Bees for a look inside the honey industry. Raw, organic honey samples keep things sweet, as you learn about bees’ role in maintaining a healthy ecosystem.

Next, take a walking tour of Pu’uhonua o Honaunau National Historical Park, before finally visiting a coffee plantation to learn about coffee from bean to bag. The tour concludes with lunch on the coffee plantation and hotel drop-off.

This tour provided the basic things that were advertised including trip to parks, bee farm, coffee plantation. These were interesting mainly because our guide was not the one teaching at these places. The actual time spent at these places was small compared to the driving...More
