- 616nishat0 contributionsGood experienceAmazing experience with the turtles amd in the Cenote. The tour guide had a lot of knowledge and explanations were clear and insightful. The purchase of photos seemed a little expensive but worth it.Written November 9, 2024
- NinjaNurse130 contributionsWhale Sharks....If you are on the fence, do it!!We had a great experience doing the Whale Shark adventure; it was a VERY long day coming up from Tulum, but well worth it! We were picked up before 5am at our hotel lobby and the transportation was effortless, the guides were amazing, and even provided snacks and pills for motion sickness as the boat ride was about 90 minutes and well offshore. The guides were very knowledgeable, super helpful and patient, as well as respectful of the sharks. These beautiful giants need to be on your list!Written July 23, 2024
- V9003CYgarym0 contributionsLots of funWent on this tour solo as I am 64 years old and my wife was not up for the zip lining. I had never zip lined before and thought it would be fun. The tour was affordable, 1/2 a day long and was great. The zip lining was really fun and exciting. The ATV riding was also quite a lot of fun, jumping 20’ down into the first Cenote was cool as heck, you can also walk down to the water if a 20’ plung is not your choice. The second Cenote you walk down into, there is a zip line you can ride into the water or just walk into. Very fun, I would tell anyone to do this. The Taco lunch at the end was also very tastyWritten April 26, 2024
- DoodlesMomToo0 contributionsI love the ecxellence chainWe went in May or june of 2011 i think. Not only did the prove the most exceptional time when we were there… our own servers followed me around to make sure the chair i picked had a blanet, a pillow and a cocktail. I didnt want to leave I would love a fun new couple to join sus, the cant take kids with them unless they are on the family side. The family side has many pools avai, there are special places for members on it. They have a make you own soft ice cream on the adult side. The have a licensed playcare spot for families which is 👍🏻. Even though i have a lot of stomach insensitivities, i could find something to eat daily. Bottled water is plentiful. It feels like one can hide to get away from everything . My husband usually does whai i want to do, even just have a pool day 3 days in a row. I think they have butler service. It was the first place I had pad Thai believe it or not I've never had anything as good (Imo) since. Worth researching to see if it meets your needs, this is an underrated vacay spotWritten February 10, 2024

- O9764YNemilyg0 contributionsAmazing! We did a couple of day trips with Viajes Tours Maya. Including chichen itza & Cenotes, coco bongo and Xplor. I cannot recommend either trip or Viajes Tours Maya enough. Knowledgeable & friendly guides and the trips are decent value for money. We would definitely use again!Written January 7, 2024
- asegel940 contributionsMayan Ruins & CenoteMy boyfriend & I visited Riviera Maya, December 2023 and we booked with Jose & his company for a wonderful excursion. We booked a private Mayan Ruins tour with a Cenote swim. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, patient and fun! He took all our pictures & let us do our own thing while he waited for us. He took us to Tulum and we got to shop around and drink 😉. I would recommend Jose and his company time and time again!Written January 5, 2024
- alicebA383WV0 contributionsWonderful day booked through Jose Perez.I booked through Jose Perez. He responded so quickly and was amazing at booking us the trip we wanted. We went from our hotel to tulum, then to a cenote and then to snorkelling with turtles akumal bay. 130$ each which I thought was reasonable and included lunch and all equipment. All the tour staff were lovely and friendly. My friend needed prescription snorkel mask and they helped her in the water too as it wasn’t exactly right. All in all a lovely day. Thank you Jose for organising this and responding to everything so quickly.Written October 12, 2023
- Evan T0 contributionsA Mexico mustThis was an excellent excursion to do here in Mexico, you get to explore deep into cenote caves as well as zip line through Mexicos gorgeous scenery. Christian was an excellent tour guide and was very knowledgeable of the surrounding area. You also get a taste of Mayan culture by doing a prayer/ceremony at the beginning of the excursion and eat some traditional Mayan food at the end.Written April 25, 2023
- MaggieG610 contributionsAmazing Tulum Mayan Ruins and Cenote tourSuch an incredible private tour with 6 women and our tour guide, Miguel! He was knowledgeable and helpful and we never felt rushed to go faster at any of the stops. It was an amazing day and we would book it again in a heartbeat! Planning the day with Jose was seamless too and it was great to have it booked before we even got to Mexico.Written December 20, 2022
- tanjahO8597DH0 contributionsAmazing Private Tour-Tulum-Tutles-CenoteWe had a private tour for 8 people. We swam with turtles in Akumal, saw the Tulum ruins and then off to the Cenotes. Our tour guy was very knowledgeable and told us many stories along the way. The drive was always informative and never dull. He joked with us and made things fun. We went to Akumal and swam with the turtles first. This is something our daughter wanted to do. The bay was beautiful, sandy beach and it also had a couple of restaurants on it as well. The down fall I think was the guide there told us we had to pay extra for chairs, I thought that was a little silly but we did end up paid an additional $8.00 per chair for the non swimmers in our group. If we didn’t rent chair they would have had to sit in the sand. This wouldn’t be too bad for younger people but they were seniors. It’s not a deal breaker just would have like to know this ahead of time I guess. And since English is a second language when we asked questions to the Guide he didn’t seem to know anything about the turtles or what we spoke to him about, just where to find them which I guess what what we came for. Would I do this tour again, no I would go somewhere else where there is more to see. Tulum Ruins were great. Very HOT. Our tour guid here (someone different from Akumal) was so knowledgeable and explained the history of the building to us. We were able to walk around and explore and he walked around with us answering any questions. On the way back to the van he older people in our group were having a hard time with the heat so we decided to take the trolly bus back instead of walking. This was a good idea even if the walk was only 10 mins, if that. The cost I believe was a couple of pesos each and the stop is just outside the exit of the ruins. Lastly the Cenotes, they were amazing to swim though. We haven’t ever done that so we really enjoyed that. Three under ground and 1 open. We all enjoyed this. If I were to change anything on this tour it would be that we would to Tulum first. I would do this for two reasons, first to beat some of the heat and second if you snorkel your wet then need to change into dry clothes to do Tulum then need to change back into wet clothes to do the cenetos. As this was a private tour I should have told him to do it this way however I just went along with what they suggested. I’m the end I would change it next time. This by far did not change the fact the tour and guilds and driver were amazing and we loved every moment! Thank you for a great time!Written November 17, 2022
- Elbradleyyx0 contributionsIncredible day outHad the most amazing day! We had been looking for trips to do, and I came across Jose Perez on Facebook who offered the perfect day for us. 1st we went to Akumal bay to snorkel with the turtles. Our amazing guide nori, took us round with one other group (5 in total). We saw 4/5 turtles including some baby one and string rays. The coral reef was also amazing to swim across with beautiful fish. 2nd we headed to tulum ruins. This site is beautiful and rich in history. Thanks to our amazing tour guide Salvador who gave us so much information about the site. The ruins are very hot so I would suggest going early and they can be very busy. 3rd and finally we went to casa tortuga cenotes, which were unbelievably stunning. There were 3 in total we swam through with crystal clear water. It was a private tour with just the family so we could spend as long as we wanted at each destination. We got picked up at 8:30 and got back to the hotel about 3. Would 10/10 recommend booking through Jose and privatetoursvip. Huge love to our guide Salvador and driver Russel who were amazing!Written September 7, 2022
- Road7826380 contributionsGreat full day of funWhat a wonderfull day we had, guides by the best guide ever (Dania!). Swimming with turtles and visiting the Cenote where the absolute highlight. A full day of fun. Highly recommended!Written August 28, 2022
- S100VLanneg0 contributionsBring your own equipmentPuerto Morelo has great snorkeling. We saw a nurse shark, an eagle ray, and many other different types of fish. HOWEVER, there has to be a better company out there. First, they don't allow you to take out cameras of any type so they can upsell the pictures at the end of the tour. They even told us that the Mexican government doesn't allow anyone to take pictures (but they allow Native to take photos???). Everyone knows that the seaweed is a huge problem in this area. However, they don't clean it up at the Native Park and we had to board our boat by walking on two planks of wood between the shore and the boat. Without having the safety conversation, the wood dipped down into the smelly, seaweed infested water-sooo gross. I actually understand the idea of not cleaning it up, but absolutely do not make your guests walk through it. Build a dock or something. Then, my equipment was faulty. My snorkel was cracked. I complained several times and they kept trying to fix it, but it was unfixable. I ended up swallowing so much sea water I almost threw up. I eventually gave up. Honestly, we love to snorkel and this area of the world is a good spot, but I wish I had gone with a different company. I have had really great experiences elsewhere, but not here. I think there has to be better experiences with other companies.Written August 19, 2022
- Jennifer F0 contributionsGood for teens and adultsWe did the zip lines, ATV, and cenote snorkeling. All three were fun and lasted about the right amount of time. The trip was well organized and our guide was prepared and kept things moving.Written July 24, 2022

The tour was small enough we didn't worry about getting separated from our group and the time we arrived at Chichen Itza ( quite early ) let us get in and out before the heat and crowds.
The Cenota Maya is an absolute must see!!! It seems that a lot of destinations have caves to tour, but this one is massive and well worth the drive! The Rappelling and ziplining were amazing and the professional photos that were taken for us show just how impressive this location is!!!
Our tour guide Israel and driver Gustavo went out of their way to ensure we were safe, comfortable, and that we all had a good time. Israel was very informative both historically and in general and he was also quite funny and entertaining for the entire day. He also engaged several vendors who gave us demonstrations on how they paint masks, negotiate prices, and identify the stones that they were selling. Despite the roads being quite bad, Gustavo managed to get us to Chichen Itza and Cenote Maya safely. They both did a great job and we appreciated them very much!
