3-Day Alice Springs to Alice Springs Tour Including Kings Canyon, Kata Tjuta and Uluru
From US$270.49
Overview
Get an authentic experience of Australia's Red Centre on this 3-day outback tour from Alice Springs. Planning an independent outback trip can be tough, so leave the planning and itinerary to a guide. Sleep under the stars, try typical Aussie bush food, and learn about Aboriginal culture on a guided walk. Explore area highlights such as the Valley of the Winds, Kings Canyon, and the UNESCO-listed Uluru and Kata Tjuta.
What to Expect
Roll out of bed for early morning pickup at your Alice Springs hotel, where you'll meet your guide and group. You’ll only need to pack 3-days’ worth of clothing and a water bottle, as all food and camping logistics will be handled. Relax on the drive into the outback, knowing that the logistics and details have been worked out ahead of time.

Arrive at Kings Canyon for a 3-hour hike around the site's sandstone domes, culminating in a swim at the Garden of Eden. Head for Curtin Springs, where you'll set up your evening's bush camp; enjoy a bush-style dinner and sleep out under the stars.

Day two includes hikes through the Valley of the Winds and Kata Tjuta, tales about the Dreamtime at the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, and sunset over Uluru. After an overnight stay at the Ayers Rock Campground, wake to watch the sunrise over Uluru, then head out for a base walk and camel ride before heading back to civilization in Alice Springs.

A great trip all round!

Unlike the intrepid Tour I'd taken earlier throughout my travels of Australia, The Rock Tour was a little bit more hands on. We gathered our own firewood and cleaned up after ourselves. We slept in swags under the stars and woke up frightfully early each...More

Great tour company

If you’re in Australia, you want to see the outback, surely? Booked with The Rock company and had Dan and Lewis as my guides for the trip across the NT. Can’t speak highly enough of them both - friendly, knowledgeable and down-to-earth. The trip itself...More

Amazing tour and food!

Admittedly, the worst part of the tour is getting up early, but it wasn't that horrible. The tour guide had plenty of stories and laughs with our group, which made the entire thing better. The food was great and she let us help cook sometimes.

Best tour in Alice Springs

We had SO much fun on the Rock Tour. We had a diverse range of people on our particular tour, but I felt we were all accommodated for and we all enjoyed ourselves even with the challenging conditions. There were a few hiccups along the...More

No air conditioned mini-bus

This tour operator is not telling the truth about air conditioned mini-bus, either it is functioning at 20% of his capacity, either it is not functioning at all. We really suffered from heat at 45 degrees Celcius on our tour on Dec 27-30 2018, they...More

To answer your question; I enjoyed the food, and I really appreciated the fact that our guide, Nicole, who had been driving and working ALL day, put effort into cooking us a delicious meal. I honestly didn't take notice of... More
