Great seeing Uluru up close
Apr. 2021
A great experience. It’s magical seeing Uluru up close. I enjoyed the walk to the waterhole too. The driver/guide Dale was great. He was knowledgeable and had a good sense of humour. We also did the optional BBQ. The steak was sensational.

Great experience
Feb. 2020 • Couples
Tour was really great. Guide picked us up on time and he provided lot of info about tour. He knew lot about aborigin's history and culture, so we had great opportunity to learn much about that. Uluru is just amazing site and worth to visit it. Final BBQ was nice, lot of food and drinks. When we cheched photos later, we realized that colors of Uluru are really changing in sunset time, even that is not so obvious when you keep your eyes on it.

Cloud Cover!
Jan. 2020 • Couples
Luck of the draw with the weather and sadly it was cloudy l! So no wonderful sunset for us! The coach driver (Joey) was grumpy, when I asked if he could make the AC a bit colder he said “it’s 40 degrees outside!” But we went on other coaches in the same temperatures that had really good AC. Bad customer service! Luckily the Bbq was on a different coach with happy guides. Enjoyed that part very much!

Well Organised and Very Informative
Would really recommend this tour as a must do on your trip to the rock. You visit the cultural centre which I do think could do with updating a bit, as there was way too much reading ... just a personal thought as I prefer museums to be more interactive - this may not be so easy In this case. I still enjoyed the Centre and the videos. The walk round the base was really good, our guides Josh and Kayla were both amusing and informative. The sunset didn’t really happen because of the cloud but the wind and snacks were plentiful and excellent. The end of the evening was a fabulous BBQ and an opportunity to talk to other guests whilst enjoying some great Aussie tucker and wine. Mustn’t forget the chat about the stars - nice ending to a great trip. Not sure I would take children though, nothing for them on this tour. Otherwise I cannot recommend this trip enough and many thanks to Kayla and Josh for a great afternoon/evening.

Brilliant trip.
Nov. 2019 • Friends
Marvellous scenery, informative and engaging guides. We visited the cultural centre, caves with paintings, a waterhole and we walked round the base for a while. We then went for wine and canapés and to watch the sunset. They were very generous with food and drink.
It was a marvellous highlight of our visit to Australia.

Now I understand
Nov. 2019
Aaron and Andrew really helped us understand the balance between the indigenous people and the western culture that is needed to help save Uluru(Ayers Rock) and Kata Tjuta for future generations in both cultures. Thank you for a beautiful and educational experience. Of course we enjoyed the wine and appetizers at sunset too.

Excellent interpretation
Ree and Jakob were fantastic and conscientious tour guides/drivers explaining the Ananu customs and traditions. The geological creation and the european history. They cleverly split the group during the walk to give everyone space and time to enjoy the unique features. They explained the ways the Ananu society has different socoal expectations (such as no photographs, lack of eye contact and no handshakes) which was very interesting. The bus was air conditioned and the cooling face towels were an insightful touch. All in all it really was a wonderful way to experience Uluru, very highly recommended!

Good tour, awful bbq
Do the tour, the guides are fantastic, we had Ally and she was exceptional from her knowledge of the site and it’s history to her understanding of the beat photos at sunset. She was great with all types of travelers, including young children, older travelers, and couples. But the bbq was unacceptable, they can’t adequately handle groups, they run out of food before everyone is served, the food quality is poor, and the staff, logistics and venue is ill-equipped to handle the size of the bbq.

Best tour guides

We had Tachi for a tour guide and she was so thoughtful. She also knew about her tour and shared with us a lot of good information and kept the tour interesting. She is really good at pictures!

The wine and canapes includes sparkling, white, or red wine and orange juice or water. There’s chips, vegetables and dip. Great for snacking on while you’re watching the sunset. The view point is perfect. A life changing experience!

Uluru Base and Sunset Tour
Lovely drive around the rock, saw the sacred part were you cannot take photos
Walked and saw the waterhole, lovely short walk, saw some paintings and tour guides educate you well on stories and history!
Loved watching the sunset, sunset was about 6:10pm we arrived 5:15 so plenty of time to find a good spot, good supply of alcohol! And finger food- crackers, dips fruit and vegetables and I’m a cheese lover, stood by the table eating so many of the cheese cubes! And fantastic that you get to mingle with other people and hear there travel stories. Unfortunately this night for us was cloudy- but you can never predict the weather! But had such a fun experience!!
