Very enjoyable
This is a fun and easy way to get an overview of Hobart. We stopped several times, the last one being the Botanical Gardens which would be more cumbersome to reach without a car. Phil was our driver/guide and was well informed and full of amusing tidbits. We also visited a former woman's prison plus a couple of scenic picture taking spots. As this was a chilly day having a closed vehicle was appreciated.

Hobart, Tasmania - probably our favorite port
Apr. 2019 • Friends
As Hobart was our 1st Aussie Port immigration clearance became a time issue for us. The entire passenger load was divided into groups (15) and each person had to exit the ship and meet face to face with Australian customs. Not until this was completed would anyone be allowed back on the ship. We docked at 730am, planning on meeting our tour guide at Brooke St. Pier at 930am - nope - we were group 9 and completed customs clearance at 1015am, walking to the meeting point (10 minutes walk - Gray Line was not at the ship pier). We got to the meet point about 10:30 and Gray LIne Tram with driver Jim was waiting for us - though an hour late. The old style tram was an interesting way to see the city - loved the architecture. Went to various high scenic points to see the city and did the botanic gardens there. Once dropped at the starting point the others walked back to the ship; I stayed behind and walked some of the city for some necessary shopping. Though up and down and hilly was enjoyable to walk around the city and see it close up. Was clean with friendly people. An easy walk back to the ship on conclusion. Jim did a great job of driving the tram and providing city information and good photo options. $39 USD each for this one and again well worth it. Some might object to the 10 minute walk to Brooke St pier and back & we had to ask at the pier exit to ensure we were walking the correct way but other than that - again I will say we loved Hobart.

Dear Arizona Budgies, Thank you for your valuable and informative feedback. We are glad we were able to accommodate you, despite the delays with customs on the day. We are aware that occasionally we need to be as flexible as possible for our valued cruise ship customers. It is great to hear your enjoyed Jim's company, commentary and expert local knowledge and we look forward to seeing you again when you are next in Hobart.

Last day tour to learn something
Had a great tour this morning with Nigel. Flexible, knowledgeable. Nigel provided informative commentary and was happy to answer our questions. Shared the tour with four others so had plenty of seats to get good views and camera shots.
Excellent value for money.

Fantastic informative and fun tour
Feb. 2019 • Couples
We boarded the tram (never actually a tram (but a converted Bedford lorry) for a guided tour around the town of Hobart. The tram was quite comfortable and relatively spacious. Four interesting stops, particularly the excellent Botanical Gardens (this top should be longer)

We had Tim as our driver and guide – he was funny, informative and very entertaining - he made the trip.

Trip lasted 3 hours with 28 people in the “tram” – good value for money at $36.

Talking tram
Fantastic fun! We must have got Hobart's friendliest and funniest tour guide driver. His knowledge of old and new Hobart, architecture and attractions were second to none. Plus he piloted that old baby (converted tram/bus), despite hills and tight corners like a true professional. Fun and interesting, worth every penny!

Great way to get to know Hobart
Jan. 2019 • Solo
I enjoyed this half day tour, taking in many of the key sights of Hobart. The guide Tim was pleasant and knowledgeable, and very helpful. Particular highlights for me were Rosny Point Lookout and the Botanical Gardens.

My only criticism is the tour start was delayed, but I think that was because some people who were booked in did not arrive.

Hi AnnPat5, Thank you for your valuable comments regarding our Hobart City Tour. I am glad you enjoyed the highlights of Hobart and our scheduled stops. I will enjoy sharing your comments with Tim as he always ensures a great time is had by all. We do apologise that the start of the tour may have been delayed, while we tried to locate passengers. Occasionally due to unforeseen circumstances, we may have to wait a couple of minutes. Having said that, we do have to strictly adhere to our departure times for logistical reasons. We look forward to seeing you again.
