Enjoy the ride aboard a historical tram while discovering the top attractions in Hobart. Hear live informative commentary as you roll past landmarks including St. George’s Church, Sullivan’s Cove, and Anglesea Barracks; take in the heritage homes around Battery Point; and cruise the restaurants lodged in Georgian warehouses at Salamanca Place. This tour reveals more by tram—converted to motorized bus—with a local guide at the helm.
What to Expect

Make your own way to Brooke Street Pier and board your tram for the 3-hour Hobart sightseeing tour.

Take in the sights and listen to informative commentary about Hobart as your guide steers the tram through small streets, waterfront boulevards, and quaint neighborhoods. Pass by top sights including Parliament House, St. George’s Anglican Church, Anglesea Barracks, Princes Park, the base of Mt. Wellington, Cascade Gardens and Brewery, St. David’s Cathedral, the Treasury Building and Franklin Square, Constitution Dock, and Victoria Dock.

Learn about Hobart’s past and the convict laborers who built some of its historical buildings, see the remaining bits of the Cascades Female Factory prison, and pause at Sullivan’s Cove—considered Hobart’s birthplace.

Cross over the Derwent River via the Tasman Bridge and get a lovely view of Hobart, Mt. Wellington, and Glenorchy from the Rosny Hill Lookout before your tour ends back at the Brooke Street Pier.

Good half day tour

Highly recommend if one have only very limited time and wants to see most of the city. Specially like the Botanical Garden, would like to spend a little longer here if time permitted. Driver/guide is good and very informative.More

Great snapshot of Hobart

I arrived in Hobart 12 hours after the flash floods of Thursday 10 May 2018. While there were obvious signs of the floods (debri and mud on some roads and high water marks on buildings), Hobart had done a great job of cleaning up. Because...More

Good overview of Hobart

I liked this tour. It was popular on Monday 5th March because our cruise ship was in port so there was a choice of the tram or coach. I chose coach because you can really see more from a higher vantage point. The tram looked...More
