Overview
A City Sightseeing Melbourne bus tour offers the benefits of a guided tour—including hassle-free transportation and onboard commentary—but lets you explore at your own pace. Tickets are valid for 24 or 48 hours, so you can hop on and off at attractions like the Eureka Skydeck 88, Queen Victoria Market, and St. Kilda beach. Or simply stay on board and admire the views from the open-top double-decker bus.
What to Expect

Make your way to any of the 27 stops (see itinerary) to validate your 24- or 48-hour ticket, then hop aboard one of the open-top double-decker City Sightseeing buses. Your ticket includes access to two different bus routes, which both start and end at Federation Square.

The City Route is a 2-hour circuit stopping at sights including the Melbourne Star, Queen Victoria Market, Melbourne Zoo, and Eureka Skydeck 88. The St. Kilda Route takes around 90 minutes and covers the sights of South Melbourne including Luna Park, South Melbourne Beach, and St. Kilda Marina.

While on board, don’t forget to plug in your headphones and listen to the audio commentary, which points out all the main attractions along the route, and offers background history and fun facts to help you learn more about Melbourne.

Disappointed 24/10/18

Commentary poor and out of date, almost childlike in places. One speaker only and not clear. Have done many of these tours in other places and standard much higher. Swapped buses to do 2nd route and was given conflicting information. Unfortunately has put us off...More

Don’t waste your money - wish I could give zero stars

Undoubtedly the worst bus tour I have ever been on. Every trip set off late because the drivers were off smoking and our driver stopped in the middle of nowhere to have another cigarette halfway through the trip. The routes are terrible and go through...More

Does anyone care?

Having just read this seemingly endless list of extremely negative reviews, I cannot believe that this company is still in operation, no doubt leaving our overseas visitors stunned and disappointed. Not once has there been a response from management by way of acknowledgement and/or acceptance...More

It was OK

The tour was OK. It's great that your ticket lasts 24 hours so you can get a couple of tours done. Would have been good if the driver slowed a bit in front of attractions for a quick photo but not a major.

Thanks for your feedback, we will pass this onto our drivers to slow it up a bit!

Excellent value but do the 48hr tour

We bought the one day pass but in hindsight should have bought the two day pass as once you hop off twice the day is gone and there are two tours included in the price Melbourne and st Kildas. If you plan to visit any...More

Thank you for your reply, 24 hours really isn't enough time to see our wonderful city! We are always looking at addressing our tour issues. We are adding more speakers to assist with the sound issue.

I thought the trip was great. My only advice was to buy the 48hr ticket so you can take your time and see st kildas as well
