Overview

Catch sunset at the Twelve Apostles on a Great Ocean Road tour from Melbourne along a gorgeous stretch of coast. You’ll pass picturesque towns, watch for koalas at Kennett River, and stroll beautiful beaches, pausing for lunch at a café. The departure is perfectly timed to catch “golden hour” light on the coastal cliffs and limestone pillars of the Twelve Apostles. With pickup and drop-off in Melbourne, this tour makes for a hassle-free day.

What to Expect

Meet a driver at your hotel, or at a central meeting point, then board a climate-controlled coach for the Great Ocean Road, among Australia’s most beautiful drives.

When you reach the coast-hugging road, keep your camera ready as you pass panoramic views of sandy beaches and rugged cliffs that plunge into the ocean. Pause to visit the Split Point Lighthouse that looks out across Aireys Inlet, and watch for koala bears in Kennett River, where you’ll also stop for an included lunch.

Enjoy views of the green Otway Ranges while approaching Loch Ard Gorge, then catch the day's grand finale at Twelve Apostles, whose rock formations turn rosy at sunset. When the light fades, climb back on the coach and relax during the 3-hour return trip to Melbourne, where this tour concludes with drop-off at the original departure point.

A full day at Great Ocean Road went beyond awesome!

AWESOME day out at the Great Ocean Rd with Chris (Bear). Humorous, entertaining and definitely a lover for the wildlife. Saw a stranded koala and went to its aid as soon as possible. Would recommend this trip to anybody. Worth every penny!

Thanks Ian for your knowledgable guidance. I was travelling solo, Ian answered all my qs and shared facts as we drove along. Took the best route to avoid traffic also. Amit

The views are spectacular, stopping at Kennett River and feeding the birds was great fun and we did see a koala bear!

Highlights are above--I should add seeing the Apostles at sunset was wondrous. The downsides were: 1. a very uncomfortable bus for a 12 hour day. I'm 5 ft 6 in and didn't have enough leg room. 2. The lunch was just passable then supper was...More

it is a long trip, they will probably charge for a ticket, as the baby would need a seat for everyone to be comfortable. There might be a discount tho.

As the tour is a whole-day tour, it can be a bit tiring; however, there's a lot of stops to walk, stretch, eat, and have a bit of fun. I believe a toddler would be completely fine :)
