Overview
Ride the Rotorua Gondola to the top of Mt Ngongotaha and soak in sweeping views during the 10-minute ride. You’ll overlook Lake Rotorua and the city, and can spend as much time as you like at the summit. Have the option to descend by luge on one of three tracks — basic, intermediate or advanced. The luge provides a fun ride for all ages, no prior experience required.
What to Expect
Head to the Rotorua Gondola base, which is located only six miles (10 km) outside the city center. Once aboard the glass-enclosed gondola car, ride for 10 minutes to reach the summit of Mt Ngongotaha, which stands 1,597 feet (487 meters) tall.

Gaze over Lake Rotorua and the surrounding region from the gondola and mountain top, and when ready, return to the gondola to descend to the base. Alternatively, you can choose to the luge ride option for your descent.

Choose from three luge tracks—basic, intermediate or advanced—to zip down the mountain. Select a package with one, three, or five luge rides, and relax while the chairlift delivers you back to the mountain top in between rides. It's a great activity for adventurous kids and adults alike.

We spent the morning here, using the Luge. It was such good fun, you can’t go wrong with flying down a track with your mates. We went on a weekday and the wines were quick and the views going back to the top were stunning,...More

Fantastic for the whole family, unless it rains

We booked the gondola ride with buffet online, but fully intended to take the luge rides and possibly the nature trail as time permitted. The views are fantastic, and the luge ride is too good to pass up. We actually went two times and would...More

I felt like a child during my experience with Slyline. They were very organized and riding the luge was fun! I just didn’t like the staff at the end of the luge ride, they were not very nice and not even helping pulling these luges...More
