Join this tour for an uncrowded boutique small boat cruise on Milford Sound. The only cruise company at Milford Sound to limit passenger numbers on-board, they offer comfortable luxury lounge style seating and superb customer service, an unforgettable experience is guaranteed. The smaller boats will get you up close and personal with the local wildlife like seals, dolphins and penguins in their marine habitat.
  • Escape the crowds on this smaller boat that prioritizes guest space
  • See native New Zealand wildlife from viewing windows and open decks
  • Luxury lounge with ocean-facing sofas and snacks
  • Listen to live narration from the skipper
  • Multiple departures daily for flexible scheduling
What to Expect
Make your way to the visitor terminal in Milford Sound at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to check in for your cruise. Board a spacious boat that only books to half capacity to allow for the best experience. Climb to an upper cabin with water-facing sofas, and help yourself to coffee, tea, and biscuits, while listening to live commentary from the skipper. Smaller than some cruise boats, the maneuverable vessel can get you even closer to the wildlife you may spot along the way, from New Zealand fur seals to the rare Fiordland crested penguin. Cruise all the way to the end of Milford Sound, where the fiord opens up onto the Tasman Sea, with expansive views throughout your time on the water. This cruise concludes at the original departure point.

You are most likely planning to see Milford Sound while in NZ, so I don't need to convince you of that. I chose this tour over larger group tours because I prefer the smaller group and I find the experience to be much more personalized....More

Chris, our Captain, and Hope, our crew member were superb. They offered lots of insight on what we were seeing and provided our family with an excellent experience.

Looks like the question got answered. I actually stayed in Te Anau for two nights which helped. The drive is quite a lot to take in all in one day. Hope that this person enjoyed it, I certainly did
