Highlight of visiting Milford. A must do. Cruise Milford was the best. Smaller boat, amazing scenery, great amusing commentary. Afternoon cruise has fewer people.
Make your way to the visitor terminal in Milford Sound at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to check in for your cruise. Board a spacious boat that only books to half capacity to allow for the best experience.
Climb to an upper cabin with water-facing sofas, and help yourself to coffee, tea, and biscuits, while listening to live commentary from the skipper. Smaller than some cruise boats, the maneuverable vessel can get you even closer to the wildlife you may spot along the way, from New Zealand fur seals to the rare Fiordland crested penguin.
Cruise all the way to the end of Milford Sound, where the fiord opens up onto the Tasman Sea, with expansive views throughout your time on the water. This cruise concludes at the original departure point.

I booked this cruise through Trip Advisor after reading the reviews, and I am so glad I did. Smaller boat, more personable. We were able to get very close to the sides, something I don't think that bigger boats would have been able to do....More
Cruised milford with cruise milford and it was fantastic. The crew were extremely friendly and had loads of information about milford and the surrounds and the local wildlife. Milford sound is a must do. It is beautiful and I have not seen anything like it.
