Overview
Prague Castle and Old Town Square are two of the city’s must-sees, but exploring them independently may mean missing their backstories. This walking tour covers both attractions with a guide, so you get insight into their history and save time by combining them into one tour. Plus, ride a tram to the castle—a great taste of Prague’s public transportation. Ideal for first-time visitors and those short on time.
What to Expect
After booking your preferred time slot, greet your guide in central Prague. Set off together to see the city’s UNESCO-listed Old Town Square, a cobbled expanse framed by Gothic and baroque townhouses and churches.
View the exteriors of landmarks such as the Old Town Hall and Church of Our Lady Before Tyn, and admire the world-famous orloj (astronomical clock).
Then ride a public tram up to Prague’s Castle District, home to a cluster of monasteries, breweries, and Renaissance buildings. Take in the architecture here, and absorb the bird’s-eye views over the city.
Finally, head inside the walls of Prague Castle and explore the key sights. Stroll through the courtyards and tour the showpiece of medieval St. Vitus Cathedral, as well as St. George’s Basilica, as your guide charts their history.
When it’s time, return to your original departure point, where your tour ends.

Thomas Panek was great guide!

Recommended for anyone visiting Prague the 1st time, or if you are an architect major who would love to see those beautiful castles again and again. Thomas was great. Very good with the histories of the castles as well as stories of the city itself.

Givi was super cool and we liked his style and we will be looking him up on YouTube because he’s a low key famous rapper. Also we suspect he lost his virginity in the forest next to the fake Eiffel Tower which is pretty cool....More
