Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague

Visiting World War II’s Terezin camp from Prague by yourself risks only a fragmented understanding of the complex and what occurred here. Gain a comprehensive picture of the 1941–1945 camp, used by Nazi forces as a Jewish prisoners’ transit hub and ghetto, on this guided tour. Explore the entire complex, including the museum, dormitories, and cemetery with full commentary throughout, and with entrance fees and return transport included.

What to Expect

Board a comfortable, air-conditioned coach in central Prague with your guide and travel to Terezin, an 18th-century military fortress used as a transit camp and Jewish ghetto by Nazi forces after their invasion of the Czech Republic in WWII.

On arrival, take a narrated tour of the complex as your guide charts the terrible events that occurred here. Learn how many thousands died at the camp, and how many were transported on to death camps such as Auschwitz and Treblinka.

Visit must-sees including the Small Fortress, Ghetto Museum, Magdeburg Barracks, Columbarium, Crematorium, and dormitories; the latter with original furniture. Learn about the prisoners’ suffering through documentary films, discovering how they maintained a semblance of cultural life despite everything.

Then, pay homage to the camp victims at the Terezin Memorial, home to approximately 10,000 graves. Finally, return to Prague where your tour ends at the original starting point.

A trip here highlights mans inhumanity to fellow humans. Little known about in the history of the war , it was here that the Nazi propaganda machine tricked the rest of the world, and the red cross , into believing that the Jewish people within...More

The camp itself is fascinating, sad, and not to be missed. We had a very good guide once we were INSIDE the camp (the “local” guide. Unfortunately I can not say the same for Vera, our overall tour guide- who spoke to us in a...More

how lucky i am

This trip was top of my list for me to visit whilst in Prague. The conditions and brutality the people suffered made me think, how can human beings be so cruel to another. We saw the cells where people were put in total darkness for...More

We booked the trip through our hotel, we were picked up and transferred to a mini bus which went straight to the camp.
