    Visit: Museum of Medieval Torture, Krizhovnicke namesti 194/1, Prague 110 00 Czech Republic

    The exhibition presents over 80 of the most famous and most important machines used by the courts of the Middle Ages, offering a historical and cultural slice of life through objects extremely eloquent with, of course, rich iconography documents and clear and comprehensive captions in eight languages.

    The museum is spread over several floors and is well equipped.

    The opening is every day from 10 am to 10 pm, located right in the square that leads to the Charles Bridge.

    Please note that the content, the descriptions and the method of use of the instruments of torture may disturb those who have a special sensitivity, the  children under 12 years will be accepted only if accompanied.

    For the such low price it's must see. Do not forget to read all descriptions for the tortures. 3 floors of pain.

    I had some time to kill so went into this museum, I found it really interesting, if you're into torture, haha. There mainly pictures and the actual instruments in the museum (3 floors), but I wasn't expecting anything spectacular. The museum is very small, but worth visiting if

    Travelling to Europe invokes the desire to learn about medieval life. This museum seemed particullary intriguing but should not even be called a museum. There are vague descriptions written about the various torture instruments on display, and within the descriptions they mostly

    Very sorry your review... All our museum pieces have a historical description and a print or picture. The museum stretches over 500 square meters on three floors, difficult to see in 15 minutes. Are you sure you've seen our own?

    Me and my boyfriend enjoyed learning more about the medieval tortures. There was a lot to read and luckily there were multiple languages including English and German. The admission tickets were not too expensive as well, so it was definitely worth the price. However, the tour

    Passed this and only went because the young lad wanted to see it. Not too expensive which was just as well as it was pretty small. Some pretty gruesome items on display, lots of reading as there was no guide. Enjoyed it but if I didn't go I wouldn't be overly upset.
