What to Expect
For this guided tour of Auschwitz, you can either choose to be picked up at a centrally located Krakow Location. On the journey to Oswiecim, watch a documentary film about the Holocaust. Once you arrive at the Auschwitz-Birkenau State Museum, your guide takes you through the grounds of Auschwitz I. See the original roads, watchtowers, and railway ramps before going into exhibits and learning even more about the struggle of former prisoners. Afterward, follow your guide to Birkenau (Auschwitz II), and see some of the original fences, crematoriums, and gas chambers. Your tour ends with a drive back to Krakow, where you’re be dropped off in the city’s center.
