Excellent service. Communication was brilliant. No hitches whatsoever
This trip to Auschwitz and Bergenau was skilfully organised. We were one of 4 couples picked up from our hotels between 9 and 9.45 and then an hour drive to the camps. Our guide was really professional. The timing of everything was exact and we always knew what was happening. Our guide drove us there and personally conducted the tour of the camps too. He was very knowledgeable and personable. Our group joined up with another group of 8 so there were 16 in total. I’m glad we paid for a smaller group! It would’ve been impersonal if the group were 30+. I felt the value for money was excellent as it was such a stress free tour (apart from the subject matter of course). We bought the picnic lunch for 45 zloty which was great value. Would recommend doing that. Plenty to eat and 2 drinks. Pawel our tour guide was a genuinely lovely man and chatted to us on way back to krakow about Poland. I would definitely use this tour organiser again to see other sites in krakow. They are brilliant at what they do.

        Honest review
Had 3 hours here as part of an all day trip. About an hour and half from Krakow, first impressions were that it all looked amazing, the layout and architecture were all very impressive. Wrist bands are given out and lockers colour coded. The wrist bands are fitted with a small disc with software which controls everything you do. They come with 500 Zloty (£50) credit for which you pay for everything by scanning then pay your bill when you hand them in at the end. You cant leave without handing them in. Scan the band and they will tell you your locker number and let you in. These are very simple to operate and effective. Changing cubicles, showers and hairdryer's all available. Towels can be hired (10 zloty). Where this place disappointed was the sheer volume of people within, there were easily 1000s in the pools. The noise and volume at the inside pools were unbearable with the guards whistles going permanently. No space in the jacuzzies or pools available. We went outside which was slightly better but not much. The temperature of the water is fantastic and views are stunning but I would recommend asking about quieter times for a visit. Food and drink are also available throughout.

Would highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Krakow. We were picked up from a pick up point we chose not far from our hotel. We were totally looked after with an English speaking guide the whole trip. Will definitely use this company again when we come back to Krakow such a beautiful city

I wasn’t quite sure what to expect with this tour but it was fabulous. Our tour guide Patricia was great, with a fabulous sense of humour too. A truly impressive place to visit that everyone should do on a visit to Krakow.

        Auschwitz and Birkenau tour
Hassle free pickup and drop off by a very polite and professional driver. The Auschwitz & Birkenau tour was harrowing but very informative and our guide was excellent. Hello Cracow were very polite to deal with and helped us with transfers for other activities we had planned. We will be using them again.

        Harrowing.
This is not a trip to be enjoyed per se but one to remind ourselves of what happened. It’s harrowing, so be prepared for the rush of emotions you’re going to feel. That said, it is something everyone should see and our guide Anna, was so informative and brilliant at conveying the truth in a sympathetic yet powerful way. Definitely book ahead to avoid long queues and pay the little extra for the guided tour. Having a guide provides the visitor with perspective and context that might otherwise be missed. Auschwitz Birkenou are places where unimaginable suffering and death occurred and we must, as a species ensure it never happens again. So visit and tell your friends and family to visit too.

        Trip to the Salt Mines.
Had an absolutely fantastic time at the salt mines. Had no idea the vastness of this place. It's unbelievable. Got picked up right outside my hotel by a very nice guy called Greg who took us. I would highly recommend if coming to Krakow to use Hello Cracow. That was 2 trips I went this weekend and both will be very memorable to me. Thanks again guys for everything.

Company were excellent with their organisation of trip. Yes timings changed but as it was a morning trip no real issues. Plenty of notice. Salt mines were fantastic and accessibility was fine. I’ve had a knee replacement and waiting for another but coped fine. Overall an experience not to be missed.

We recently did this tour (08/02/25). I'd thought about arranging it myself by applying direct to Auschwitz for the tickets and then a taxi direct from the hotel. This proved a bit more complicated, mainly by the way the Auschwitz website allocates tickets. Thankfully Hello Cracow came to the rescue. I liaised through WhatsApp on their website and Maks quickly got the six of us booked on a tour with a good pick-up time from the hotel and guaranteed entry/tour time at Auschwitz. We got e-mail confirmations and a WhatsApp the day before confirming times, hotel pick-up etc. We were on the Small Group English Tour.
A people carrier arrived with Pawel as our driver/guide. There were eight in total in the vehicle which was very comfortable and a pleasant drive out of the city. At Auschwitz it was very busy, with the car park full of large coaches, mini-buses and cars. Lots of people waiting about. We met a similar group from Hello Cracow who had just arrived. Pawel handed out our paper entry tickets and then guided the whole group through the entry/security part. We were issued with headphones and Pawel was our guide once inside. He was shadowed by one of the official Auschwitz guides who followed the group around. Pawel was excellent in guiding us across the camp site and through the camp buildings, describing what we were looking at and the horrific past of the camp. We had a short break back at the vehicle to have a very quick bite and drink. There is a small restaurant at Auschwitz which looked good, although very busy. We only had 15mins before we were moving to Birkenau, so no time for the restaurant. We were then back in the vehicle and drove the short distance to Birkenau. It's important you do both camps to get a full understanding of what happened here. Birkenau is an open, exposed site, with quite a bit of walking. If it's cold or rain forecast make sure you wrap up. We then headed back to Krakow and got dropped off at the hotel. It was very well organised and we were very glad we went with Hello Cracow. I would recommend this type of tour.

This tour is exactly what we expected. The pickup was easy and right on time from our place in old town. Our driver was helpful when needed and made sure we were on time to everything. The Auschwitz -Birkenau tour itself was also worth it. Our tour guide that met us on site was very informative and good at relaying the messages of how terrible it all is.

We had a 15 minute break between the two where there is a cafeteria to grab food or a drink but I highly recommend just paying the 50zlote for the bagged lunch that your driver will provide. It looked like every van was getting the same lunch so they must just have someone that delivers right to the parking lot to every van that ordered it. It’s well worth the money and fresh.

After the Auschwitz-Birkenau tour we took an hour driver over to the salt mines. Again well worth the visit. We originally signed up for a tour without this part and switched after hearing great reviews. It’s massive and unlike anything I’ve seen before. You are underground for about two hours but it’s so large you don’t feel claustrophobic or an urge to leave the underground. Along this walk there is also a break for a snack and a drink that you have to buy. At the end there is also a restaurant.

Overall it was well worth the money and I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Krakow.

The trip is difficult to describe but absolutely something we recommend everyone visiting the area does. The trip we booked here was incredibly well-organised, punctual, and the tour guide we had allocated was phenomenal. She was incredibly knowledgeable and also ensured that we got the most out of our visit (and minimised waiting by adjusting the tour on the fly due to how busy it was). Cannot recommend this tour organiser enough.
The scale of the camps against the massive numbers held there is something everybody should see for themselves; especially to contextualise events within the city itself.

The afternoon before taking the tour they write to us to tell us that the departure time is advanced from 10:30 to 7 in the morning and after a while, another local guide (subcontracted) writes to us that we have to be there at 6: 15 in the morning. We complain and they tell us that it is what it is and that if it doesn't seem right to us, we can cancel it. At that moment we were taking a tour and we discussed it with the guide, who told us that we are lucky since that company is a specialist in canceling tours the day before since they are dedicated to marketing more places than they have available (so In the end someone is left out). As the main reason for the trip was to go to Auschwitz, we accepted and showed up at 6:15 on the bus, but what was our surprise, not to say disappointment, when the guide in Spanish told us that we could not get on because our places were cancelled. . We ask him for explanations and he ignores us. We called Hello Krakow and they told us that they don't know what happened, but there is nothing they can do. Shameful. But in the end it worked out better for us, we called the museum to ask about the availability of tickets with a Spanish guide, which they usually have. To get around, although there are trains every hour, since we were 4 people, we preferred to rent a car for 40 eur (with everything included). Upon arrival, even though it was Friday, as we had been told by the museum's customer service, there were plenty of tickets and in addition, their price was 27 euros (with the tour operator it was 55 euros). If you want to avoid going without a ticket, you can also reserve through the museum's official website, which I recommend, just as I don't recommend doing activities with these informal Hello Krakow people. Greetings

Originally booked the 9:30am slot with Hello Cracow through the website and this time was changed quite a few times and finally 12:40pm was agreed. We were unable to do another day as we didn't have many days left and all booked.

We were told not to be late and got there early only for the driver not to set off until 12:57pm even though we were the only ones from that stop being picked up. The clock on the mini bus was 10 minutes slower than the original time.

We were told we could not take rucksacks of a certain size and left ours on the coach only to see others able to take them inside.

We were told no cafes etc there, but infact there is a cafe you can grab some lunch from or drink at Auschwitz just before heading to Birkenau.

Our tour guide was a female not the the friendliest, I do not recommend anyone who is unfit, elderly struggles to walk at speed do this. The tour felt rushed, and for the slower people including ourselves, the lady doing our guide did not wait for anyone. just started speaking so we lost track of things and could not keep up.

A gentlemen was really poorly and was being sick, she did not ask if he was OK or anything just carried on in Birkenau and walked away it was quite disgusting to see her do this. Also an elderely woman was really struggling and she did not slowdown at all.

I would not recommend this trip in a group and to actually go yourself at your own pace and actually see everything. We could see areas we had missed which I think is so wrong when we have paid to see everything. This should be told that you won't get to see all areas.

We were so rushed it was hard to have a minute to take it all in and pay our respects properly. We spent under 2 hour's in Aushwitz and just under 1 hour in Birkenau. Travel from Krakow centre 1 hour 20min there and back. This is something we have always wanted to do and it was ruined by it all being rushed.

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to share your experience. I'm truly sorry to hear that your visit to Auschwitz-Birkenau with us was not as you expected and that the timing and pacing of the tour led to disappointment. We understand how important it is for visitors to have a meaningful and respectful experience at such a significant historical site, and it's clear from your feedback that we fell short of providing that. I apologize for the changes in your pickup time, the delay in setting off, and the confusion regarding what could be brought into the site. These aspects should have been better communicated and managed. The rushing of the tour and lack of attention to guests who needed a slower pace, especially when it came to health concerns, is deeply concerning. This is not the standard of service we strive to offer, and I will be addressing these issues directly with our team. We appreciate your suggestion regarding visiting independently at your own pace. We strive to balance the need to cover important aspects of the tour while allowing time for reflection, and clearly, we need to improve this balance. Your feedback is invaluable, and we will use it to make necessary adjustments. If you ever decide to visit again, please reach out directly—I would like to personally ensure that your experience is as it should be. Best regards, Patrycja Customer Service Team, Hello Cracow

This trip was the main reason we went to Krakow. We paid for a smaller group tour which was cancelled the day before and told we had to go with a big group due to a lack of tour guides. We have only been given a £20 refund (total), when we actually paid almost twice as much as a normal tour The time was changed from 9.15am to 1.15pm and we were the first pick up out of three more couples at different hotels so we didn't even leave Krakow until nearly 2pm. Our tour started at 3.20 and we felt it was a little rushed although the guide was great and very informative. As others have said, there is no time to take it all in or stop much and read all the information. By the time we left Auschwitz and got to the Birkenau camp the sun was already setting so we didn't feel we had anywhere near enough time as the second camp is huge with very little lighting. By the time we got to look inside the hut where the women slept it was pitch black and we all had to use our phones to see anything.
We have been left feeling a little disappointed that we weren't given enough time in either camp especially Birkenau. These times would be fine if you are going in the Summer months, but this time of year its definitely better to go earlier in the day!

Incredibly harrowing but humbling tour of Aushwitz camp 1&2. Excellent, informative, kind guide who shared her valuable insight and knowledge with us. I feel very honoured to if experience this part of European history. The camps are kept to impeccable standard and the hard work for conservation really shows.

However, the Tour felt rushed at times, no real time to stop and read plaques or info cards as was hustled along in large group. We booked a 9:30 pickup which was changed to a 6:00am pick up around 15 hours before. The tour is about 3 hours long between both camps - around 6 hours with travel included.

We had a wonderful pickup driver however, who was very helpful and friendly which made the 5:00am wake up a little easier. Pack snacks and water as there is no real time to stop for a meal - there is a restaurant on site where you can grab a quick snack in your 15 minute break between camp 1 & driving to camp 2.

Wear comfy / sensible shoes as the ground on both camps is uneven and rocky

Thank you for your detailed and thoughtful review! 😊 We’re so glad to hear that despite the early start and the pace of the tour, you found the experience at Auschwitz to be incredibly humbling and informative. It’s great to know that the guide’s insight and kindness made the tour even more meaningful for you, and we truly appreciate your recognition of the ongoing conservation efforts at the camps. We understand that feeling rushed can detract from fully absorbing such an important place, and we appreciate your feedback on the tour’s pacing. It's something we’ll certainly take into account to enhance future experiences. We’re also happy that your pick-up driver was friendly and helpful—it's always good to have someone who can brighten those early mornings! 🌅 Your tips on bringing snacks, water, and wearing comfortable shoes are spot on and helpful for future visitors! We used Hello Crakow after being recommended to them by family who had used them a few months prior . They were faultless from the minute we contacted them. Not only did we use them for the Auschwitz Birkenau tour but also booked Airport Pick ups & Returns through them . The Airport pick ups & drop offs were great & no more dearer than a taxi would have been from review prices I’d seen. Smartly dressed & friendly driver waiting at arrivals for us with a clean tidy car waiting outside & coming back a Small smart tidy Mercedes minibus with friendly driver arriving at our hotel exactly at time I’d requested. The Auschwitz & Birkenau tour we were collected on a small coach from the hotel exactly at the time they’d advised & the guide (Michal was our guide ) was just fantastic - So informative, knowledgable & passionate to ensure you got a full understanding about these places & ready to answer any questions you might have ( although he was so informative there were very few questions left to be asked. They kept in touch with us constantly by WhattsApp both before arriving & also whilst in Krakow & if we contacted then to confirm times etc they came straight back with precise friendly confirmations & info. Cannot recommend this company highly enough if you’re visiting Krakow & need to book trips , airport transfers or need any help, assistance or information whilst your in their wonderful City - Thankyou Hello Crakow for all your help, re-assurance, being exactly where you said you would be when you said you’d be there & being available on Whatts App at all times in a City we were unfamiliar with .

We booked a tour to visit Auschwitz with this company.
Cannot fault them, effortless to book and the communication from the team and the drivers was second to none!
Knew exactly what vehicle we would be picked up in and at what time making everything feel so safe especially when travelling with children.
Driver was friendly, informative and helped guide us into the tour at Auschwitz which is obviously very busy.
Would highly recommend booking direct with these guys

Auschwitz is both a hauntingly sad and amazing place to visit.

Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable and spoke about the camps with such a manner, you couldn’t help but feel the sadness of the place.

We pre-booked our tour in advance before we left the UK and we are so glad to have gone with Hello Cracow. Others we met at the Salt Mines the day before had commented how they had been let down by their tour provider that morning and they didn’t have much hope of being able to visit Auschwitz during their trip to Poland.
We had arranged pick up from our hotel and our driver was on time, friendly and polite. We shared a comfortable ride, a little over an hour from Krakow, with another couple from the UK and a couple from Canada. Our driver, Lucasz (apologies if I’ve butchered the spelling), was responsible, courteous and ready and waiting at each point of the tour.
Hello Cracow communicate via WhatsApp and though our original pick up was rescheduled from 09:30 to 10:50, we were kept well informed in advance. Hello Cracow had already explained this could be a possibility due to schools etc. having priority booking at Auschwitz so we had already been mindful of booking other trips on the day to accommodate the variable pick up time.

I would highly recommend both Hello Cracow as a tour operator, and a visit to Auschwitz, even if it is nothing more than to educate yourself on the horrors of the past.

My only advice to future visitors would be to please be respectful of the grounds you walk upon. Smiling selfies in front of such places just feel wrong and disrespectful, please go for the right reasons.
