This is a must-do if you are staying in Washington, DC overnight. As beautiful as the buildings and monuments are by day, they are even more dramatic and lovely by night. Team this up with a top-notch driver (Theo) and guide (Dion) and you'll have an unforgettable experience. We were picked up at our hotel in a spotless and comfortable small tour bus. Dion combines encyclopedic knowledge with wit and entertaining delivery. Most of the stops included time to get off the bus and enjoy Dion's explanations, descriptions and lore. My only suggestion wold be for the tour to supply headsets, and a mic for Dion. He has great vocal production, but if you were in the back of the group it was hard to hear everything while walking. It would be a shame to miss a single word! I highly recommend this experience!

DC at Dusk was the highlight of our trip to Washington! Our guide, ‘Tourgod’, was very knowledgeable about all of the sights on our tour with plenty of punny humor and charisma along the way. There is ample time at each stop for photo ops and exploration galore. The open-top bus offered unparalleled views of monuments and buildings along the route. The city cooled off considerably during the dusk time frame of the tour, making it an enjoyable experience for all. Only regret is that we didn’t bring our nice camera to capture sunset monument shots! Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend DC at Dusk to anyone!

Nick was a FANTASTIC tour guide tonight. We had such a great time that I had to come online tonight to review. I’m so glad my husband found this tour and booked it. We learned so much about each of the sites and it was fun (and funny!). Nick was vigilant in making sure all the group was accounted for, while still being super engaging and informative. Our driver (sorry, don’t remember her name!) was super smooth. I definitely recommend this tour.

We arrived for our tour and rushed to get onto the tour van because it was steadily raining. We were greeted by our “tour god”, Nick. He introduced himself and described what to expect during the tour. As we began, it wasn’t long before we realized he was going to be an amazing guide. He was a DC native, born and raised. He knew the history of all the landmarks we were passing. He shared fun and unique facts about presidents and other related topics that we probably wouldn’t find in any history textbook. Didn’t really know Abraham Lincoln was a wrestler? Or What US state does not have a street named after it in DC? In addition to providing quality content, he was hilarious. His jokes were the best. He had the whole tour group laughing. I won’t spoil any of those jokes here. 😊
So, there is a downfall to our experience. We arrived at our first or second stop which was the White House. After walking as close as we could with the rest of the tour group, we were given approximately 8 minutes to be back at the bus. We walked back to the van within the allotted time frame and were excited to see that because the rain let up, the roof of the minibus was removed, like a convertible. Much to our dismay, we boarded the tour van to be the only two passengers that had to sit in seats that were still covered by the roof of the van. The way the van was built was that the roof appeared to have moved forward and all the seats except for the first 2 rows were exposed to open air. As the tour continued, the guide was sharing details, facts, (great jokes!) on surrounding buildings, structures, etc. He would say to look to the right or look to the left, as we did that, all we saw was a black and opaque window. In addition, there was little to no airflow so in the humidity and heat, trying to breathe was stifling. Every stop, all the passengers would disembark, and it was left unsaid that all would return to the seats that they were already sitting in prior to exiting the vehicle. We tried to make the most of it, but it was very unfair that the rest of the passengers were able to see the view and breathe fresh air while we couldn’t.
Unless you have no interest in seeing what the tour guide is talking about, don’t sit in the front 2 rows.
Aside from that, an amazing tour. Loved that it was in the evening. Loved the stops. Loved the tour guide. Loved the tour guide’s jokes. Loved the information that was shared during the tour.

Mr. Map, our tour guide along with our driver Osei conducted a very thorough, educational tour of DC at dusk, which was beautiful…highly recommend visiting DC at dusk/night. Would recommend USA guided tours, Osei picked us up at our hotel. I don’t believe they pick up at all hotels, but some of the more local hotels to the National Mall. The bus was clean, temperature was comfortable. Give them a call!!

The actual monument stops were beautiful lit up at night. The guide was knowledgeable. The bus was very squeaky which was noisy and annoying. It made it difficult to hear the guide, esp if you were in middle or rear. Also a group of slightly intoxicated, noisy guests which made it difficult to hear. Probably would opt to try a different tour next time.

We arrived in DC, tired but wanting to get started exploring the city. We booked this tour within two hours of our arrival. Bryan, our driver was prompt, attentive, courteous and genuine. He approached his position with humor and grace; steadily engaging… we were the first customer picked up for the tour; and he informed us, this was a VIP tour and we were his only customers. We felt that way even though he picked up a guide “Smoky” and 32 more tourists.

In order to make the most of a day arriving midday, we opted to book the DC at Dusk Guided Night Tour. Unfortunately, the night it was originally scheduled, it rained heavily. Thankfully, our guide allowed us to reschedule and we are so glad we did! Our group was relatively small and the age range was from school age to elderly. Our tour guide, Tony Spadafora, accommodated every person with ease and a smile. He was incredibly respectful of each monument/memorial. In fact, an opportunity presented at the Vietnam Memorial to help a group member locate two soldiers. He educated us on how everything was organized and together we found the soldiers. I believe he was able to answer every question that we came up with all while balancing our education with light humor when appropriate. Even the younger of our group became interactive and seemed to put themselves right up at the front to hear Tony or challenge him with questions. It was a very positive experience and we enjoyed this tour very much.

This tour was outstanding!! Our tour guide Terry and driver Ali were both wonderful! Terry was so knowledgeable about the monuments and city itself. Both Terry and Ali made sure we had enough time to see everything at each monument, so we didn’t miss anything. Terry even offered to take pics of your group if you wanted her to!
In terms of COVID, they made sure everyone had their masks on while on the bus, the group was very small and we were spread out on the bus. They had bottled water that you could take from a cooler while getting on or off at each stop.
I could not recommend this tour enough!! A great way to see all the monuments and learn so much about each one!

We were a party of 4 with 2 of us using walkers when we first arrived in DC. Very quickly we realized we needed a wheelchairs. We call USA TOURS and were told that it would be no problem. And it wasn’t. Britney and Theo took wonderful care of us. Britany gave spectacular narration the whole way. Every time we stopped Theo would help us with the wheelchair. He also pulled as close to the curb as possible at each stop making getting on and off much easier. We have been on many DC tours and I think that this one was the best.

No it’s not more expensive to go alone because you’ll be paying for one ticket instead of 2. The pricing is not separated by couples or anything it’s per ticket :). And since you’ll be going alone definitely ask the tour guide some questions because they love to talk about dc :)

We took the DC Metro, which is very convenient from many hotels. The tour started at the Navy Memorial Metro stop near the National Mall and Smithsonian and Capitol.
Is this tour accessible to person in a walker. Who can take a few steps. Is there an option to just stay on the bus and not get off at every stop.
