Highly recommend the Cave Tubing & Xunantunich tour with Wilder. The pictures of the caves don't portray the astonishing natural beauty. It was one of the most beautiful nature sites I've seen. Hearing the history of the Mayan culture while on their land is the best way to learn it! The drive was not as long as I thought, probably because Wilder filled the time with excellent stories while pointing out the different towns or sights. The restaurant we ate at was excellent (get the fajitas)! Also there were not a lot of bugs. I didn't see an eel or a snake, only a couple of cute bats & a monkey.
Our family is a handful and Wilder was amazing! He was extremely knowledgeable & a load of fun. He really engages you with the experience and has the best dad jokes for the kids! He took care of our motley crew (which included hungover adults, a senior & grumpy teenager) while remaining fun and professional. I wouldn't do this tour with any other guide! He also know the Heimlich maneuver in case anyone can't breathe due to swallowing a large amount of cave water and has contacts if you leave your fanny pack at a rum pineapple stand... We were a handful! Thank you Wilder!

The entire trip including the car ride there and back was amazing. Wilder, our guide, took so much pride in his country it was easy to be appreciative of all if the beauty. He shared facts about each village, culture, plant life, wild life. We had our elderly mom with us. He was so patient and modified the trip itinerary so she could have a great, unrushed experience. He made everyone feel like part of his family, immediately! He even connected us with a baker so we could get a birthday cake the next day for our twins!

Our experience with our guide, Robin, exceeded our expectations. We had the privilege of getting to have Robin two consecutive days (as a driving guide to ATM the first day and cave tubing/Xunantunich the second). He was so personable and a true wealth of knowledge. He knew everything from historical details about many areas of the country to wilderness survival to rescue and recovery. When he was with our family, we never once felt rushed, and it was clear that this is a job he is not only great at, but passionate about as well. He is a person who is able to wear many hats, including auto mechanic as he was able to revive our car at one point, preventing us from potentially being stranded for a bit! Knowing what I learned from him in just two days, I can't imagine all he could have taught if we had him for a week or more going around the country. Belize is such a beautiful country with a rich history, and he was able to make it all come to life in such an interesting and captivating way. Thank you for contributing to making this such an amazing trip!

I did 3 different tours (cave tubing, Mayan temple and chocolate tour) with Truly Wild last week and they were the best experiences of my life! They also happened to be our shuttle drivers to and from the hotel, arranged by the hotel/resort. Israel, Alexander & Jason took such good care of us and made sure we had the safest, most fun experience on all the tours. They are also super friendly and knowledgeable and I learned so much about the history and culture of Belize that I was not expecting to learn on vacation. I almost extended my trip so that I can go on more excursions with them! Will definitely be back for more! Highly recommend using them! Book directly through them (vs the resort) to save on resort fees and taxes, and highly recommend having cash to tip them. They are worth every penny!

Had a great day with Israel, who was a most informative and qualified tour guide. We learned so much and enjoyed the scenic Hummingbird Highway, visiting the Mayan ruins, cave tubing, and driving through the ‘city’. Lunch was awesome too and I LOVE the sour sop drink we had. We felt like we were the only ones at both locations since it was the day before hurricane Lisa was due to hit Belize. Sites were closing early, but Israel made sure we got in and called ahead in order to be sure. We highly recommend this tour company and Israel. It was a truly phenomenal experience! Thank you! Jonathan was the best guide we could have hoped for. He was so informative and patient with our young granddaughters. The ruins were so impressive and he took the time to interpret the glyphs.
The cave tubing was even better than we expected. Spotted some bats, even saw a tapir swimming in the river. Jonathan worked his heart out pulling us down the river. The caves were just plain awesome.
12 hours of utter beauty.

Our tour guide, Syed Alexander was absolutely amazing and made every part fantastic!!! The cave tubing was magical!
Caution: they are not kidding when they say you need water shoes. It is a decent hike to the mouth of the cave over very rocky (gravel). We bought cheap water shoes with thin soles and the gravel was still hard on our feet. Thick soles are your best friends.
We saw bats, tarantula, a toucan, fish. It was absolutely gorgeous!

This is an all day adventure from Placencia but it was worth it. Jonathan was fantastic from pick up to drop off and we really enjoyed all the information he had on Belize and the Mayans and whatever else we asked. The Mayan ruins are so impressive and it’s fantastic that you can still walk to the top of the main structure. Cave tubing was definitely refreshing and it was fun to be out of the sun for a bit exploring them. We really enjoyed our day!

I had a friend come to visit for a week and decided to book a couple of tours so they can get a good feel for this amazing country that is Belize. One that i picked was Xunantunich the Mayan ruins and cave tubing. The thing that makes for a great tour is not only the place but also the person giving the tour. We had the pleasure of having Robin as our tour guide. The man is a walking encyclopedia on all things Belize, and Mexico and Guatemala and well all of Central America it turns out. We even learned things about the united States that we didn't know before. Robin was engaging funny and went out of his way to help everyone with what ever they needed. And all of the things we learned about Belize the people the culture and even the plants is something that we will remember for years to come. Looking forward to booking another tour with Robin.

Great tour of ruins and caves, with fantastic guide, Wilder. Wish we had more times at ruins for pictures, so book a ruins only tour if you want more time, but with younger kids or teens the time is just fine on this tour. Cave tubing was unique experience and refreshing after hot afternoon at ruins. Lunch was great and we recommend fajitas or quesadillas. Our guide, Wilder, was the best! He was knowledgeable, patient and fun!

My wife is a little nervous of confined spaces. I saw in one of the pictures that some of the people were walking and pulling their tube. Is the ceiling pretty low?
Hi if I am staying in San Pedro how can I get to Placencia to do this tour? Is there any transportation I can take? or do you have any tours like this from San Pedro? Thank you
