Combine nostalgia with unbeatable aerial views on a vintage biplane flight over Kauai. Feel the excitement of an open cockpit as you soar over the Garden Isle’s geography, from the sandy beaches of Poipu and the red ravines of the Waimea Canyon to the jagged Na Pali Coast and Mount Waialeale’s lush crater.
What to Expect
Meet your pilot at Lihue Airport and get a safety briefing before gearing up with a vintage-style cloth helmet and goggles and settling into the open cockpit. You also wear a two-way radio to hear live narration.

After takeoff, head north over Wailua River, Kapaa, and Anahola mountain range, soaring over Kilauea Lighthouse at Kauai’s northernmost point.

A highlight is flying above the waterfall-laced crater of Mount Waialeale. You also see Wailua and Opaeka’a Falls before turning towards the beaches of Poipu. Get a glimpse of Hawaii's largest coffee plantation and Hanapepe Valley, and then take a U-turn inside the rust-colored ravines of Waimea Canyon.

Hear native legends of the jagged Na Pali coast while cruising above spires and secluded beaches, and see a popular Hollywood filming location at Honopu'u Arches. Admire the waterfall of Hanakapiai Valley and serene Ke'e beach before the flight touches down at the Lihue Airport.

Incredible experience

We loved our flight! Our pilot knew a lot of interesting things about the island and the entire staff was friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our day. If we did it again we would opt for a helicopter, because they get a lot closer...More

Best Aerial Tour

Over the years we have taken several aerial tours. The biplane tour has been the best by far. The pilot covered parts of the island we have never seen before and was very knowledgeable of the different areas.

Totally amazing! Go for it!

It was an extraordinary moment. I have done the helicopter and a little plane before, but this plane is so much better because you feel that you are part of the scenery. Definitely you should do that if you are in kauai!!!!

Great experience

We have visited Kauai many times for extended vacations so we have sampled many of the island’s activities and attractions over the years. After watching the biplane fly over us during many of these trips, we decided it was something we just had to do....More

We did go in the morning but I think their advice is what counts and they are very informative and responsive to questions. We didn't find any issues at all with wind/chop and had an amazing experience.

The struts definitely interfere with picture taking. For good pictures I'd suggest another flight, possibly helicopter with open doors, or one of this vendors fixed wing flights and request to sit in the right hand seat.
