So much fun. No worries for novice paddlers--easy going on the river, with Gabe's commentary about history, geography, plant and animal species a real bonus. Good snorkeling at "private" beach we paddled to in the bay. A relaxing, interesting, enjoyable trip in every way. Highly recommend.

Such an amazing experience, a must-do in Hanalei! We saw 3 turtles while snorkeling. This is family-owned business, the guides were great and super friendly!! If you are staying on the north shore do this tour!!

The tour was great. We saw a bunch of turtles and swam with them - definitely a life time experience! Kolo was an amazing guide, he explained the culture and the land so nicely. Definitely recommend this tour :) You should be moderately fit though, the upstream kayaking back to the starting point is not particularly easy going ;)

This tour was our favorite excursion during out time on the island. Gabe was a great tour guide! He was down-to-earth, kind, engaging, and adapted the tour to our abilities, taking us out into the ocean along the coast to Hideaways Beach. So awesome! His attentiveness while at the beach for snorkeling and lunch was superb and the food was great! Gabe even gave us a tow when I was the lone paddler on the double after my husband injured his shoulder. We would do this tour again!!

10 years ago, we celebrated our 20th wedding anniversary by kayaking into Hanalei Bay. For our 30th wedding anniversary, we returned to Kayak Hanalei and were surprised to have the same great guide. Kolo is amazing and made two of our anniversaries very enjoyable. This guided tour is a great time and the staff is amazing. Thanks, Kolo, see you next time we are on the island (hopefully it won't take us 10 years to come back).

Great tour! Our guide was awesome. Waves were more intense today so the bay was fun to kayak in! Highly recommend this tour and great for beginners new to kayaking.

Great experience great info. Our guide was a character and fantastic super patient with my million questions and made me feel vary comfortable guiding us snorkeling way farther out then I would have gone by myself. Food was nice even snagged some fresh papaya on the way. Defiantly recommend.

This was the first adventure my husband and I chose for our anniversary trip to Kauai, and it set the perfect tone for our entire visit. It was both of our first time in Hawaii, and we were in complete awe. Hanalei has a special kind of magic that feels both enchanting and welcoming. Kolo was an AWESOME guide! None of us had ever kayaked before, but he handled everything with such ease and grace. And as if that wasn’t enough, while we enjoyed our delicious turkey sandwiches, he serenaded us with his ukulele. Snorkeling was an unforgettable experience—we even saw turtles! It was the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation. Don’t miss the chance to stop by Wishing Well Coffee right next door after your tour—it’s the ideal way to cap off an amazing day. I’d relive this experience over and over again!

We took the morning kayak tour down Hanalei Rver and nto the bay. where we snorkeled and had lunch. It is a well organized company - from the check-in process to the end of the tour. Our two guides were informative and fun - and accommodated the different needs of the group. ( And Loved the informal ukulele playing and singing during lunch!). We highly recommend this company and tour!

The tour was entertaining and not difficult for beginners. We also enjoyed the snorkeling, lunch, and ukulele playing.

Our family had a fun time on our morning kayak and snorkeling trip. It was fun getting to kayak in the bay. Had a turtle pop up right next to our kayak. The snorkeling was really good too. Lots of reef space to check out. Son and daughter-in-law were able to follow along with a turtle for a good bit during the snorkeling. Our tour guide was great and even provided some nice entertainment during lunch.

Gabe was a total sweetheart who made everyone comfortable- he was approachable and knowledgeable and also let us have the space to paddle a safe distance away once he established that we were safe! The paddling and the snorkeling both were breathtakingly beautiful- the morning delivered on every promise and then some! We’re already talking about going back this trip to rent an SUP from the company.

The tour guides were great! Very fun and informative! The views on the kayak tour were absolutely amazing! Snorkeling was very fun. We saw lots of fish and turtles too!
