Overview
Discover the marine life of Oahu while riding your own electric underwater scooter during this 2-hour cruise from Honolulu, ideal for families and nature lovers. Set out on Maunalua Bay aboard a power catamaran that passes Diamond Head Crater on the way to your dive spot. Go underwater aboard the self-propelled scooter, which allows you to observe sea turtles, tropical fish, and other marine creatures up close without requiring any prior experience.
What to Expect
Make your own way to Keahole Street in Honolulu to board your catamaran.

On the way to the dive location, your captain steers the 50-foot (12-meter) boat past landmarks including Koko Crater and Diamond Head on Maunalua Bay. Before hopping in the water, your guide provides a safety briefing and instructions on handling the underwater scooter. When ready, small groups take turns descending into the water on the scooter, accompanied by a guide. Your guide leads you past living coral reefs, through schools of tropical fish, and sea turtles.

The submarine scooter makes it easy to go underwater and experience Hawaii's marine life up close without the hassle of donning complicated diving gear or undergoing extensive scuba training.

After your turn on the scooter, use the provided snorkel gear, or take in the scenery and snack on refreshments on board the boat. Your guide shares commentary about the island's history, and points out local filming locations for TV shows and movies.

At the end of your 2-hour tour, the catamaran returns to your departure point.

Great crew!

What a fun morning. The crew was fantastic. Professional, friendly and really chill. I saw 3 turtles who got pretty close.

Excellent activity

This is an amazing activity to do. The crew is very professional. We highly recommend it. In my opinion it is much better than snorkeling since even people not familiar with swimming can do it.

Great way to get underwater w/o scuba!

Our family of 4 went on the dive scooters as our 9 and 13 year old would probably freak out if we asked them to scuba! The dive scooter was a great way to get to see aquatic life w/o worrying. The captain and crew...More

Sounds awesome, however its limited

I thought this would be pretty awesome alternative to scuba diving. I suppose I should have looked into this a bit more. You get into this scooter but you can't really go anywhere, it's tied down. They lower you in intervals making sure you are...More

So much fun! Unique, well run, awesome experience

Definitely recommend this tour! You are on the scooters for about 20 - 30 min, and can snorkel the rest of the time while other small groups (2-5) are on the scooters. Fantastic spot, lots of sea turtles and fish that come right up to...More

I honestly don't know as I'm not sure whether or not there are any restrictions due to pressure etc? What I will say is that you don't go down very deep so there shouldn't be any problems but you might find Dr google more... More
