- 910hadenr0 contributionsAmazing must do experience if visiting Marrakesh🙌🤌The whole tour was perfect from the start to finish. Berben breakfast and after a long hike a lovely berben starter, dinner and desert which was all equally delightful😍 The views was amazing throughout the whole journey and will never be forgot. Ismail was funny, friendly and super kind and talkative. He made the day even better and even sang along with me and my friends in the van. He also took plenty of photos for us to post on to social media platforms! Just to finish it off this was on my birthday and Ismail found a song that sang happy birthday with my name in it. This was very special to me and I am very thankful for Ismail and the experience🙌 10/10 experience!!!Written October 12, 2024
- Sightseer541296891710 contributionsA wonderful experience to see sites outside of MarrakechThis tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Marrakech. Our guide, Ismael, was right on time, picking us up directly from our hotel at 7:45 AM. From there, we picked up 2 more couples for a total of 6 people. We really enjoyed the small group style as it was more conversational and you could really get to know your guide and fellow and travelers. As the name of the tour indicates, we drove through the 5 valleys with Ismael making several stops for photos and sites. The van was clean, comfortable, and Ismael was a great driver. He was extremely knowledgeable (about both Morocco and random facts in general!). We stopped for breakfast at a women’s cooperative where they produced Argan oil products and saw how they products were made. We also stopped for a coffee by a relaxing brook. Then we headed to a Berber village where another local guide took us on a hike to another village. Make sure to wear the right footwear and while the hike is not too strenuous, there are some trickier parts that involve walking uphill and can be slippery etc. we ended the hike with lunch cooked by a Berber family. Everything was delicious and the people were so kind. The view was amazing too! We finished out our drive back to the hotel and arrived around 4:30 PM. Overall it was a wonderful experience and we are glad we did it!Written October 11, 2024
- kimwO797WJ0 contributionsGo on this High Atlas Mountains tour! Especially if your guide is IsmailAmazing day! We loved the many gorgeous, awe-inspiring views of mountains and valleys. Breakfast was delicious, and the coffee stop was beautiful. The hike was fun and involved going up and down hills. A walking stick was available. We toured a Berber family home, and they were very hospitable. Lunch was served on the rooftop terrace viewing the Sidi Fares valley and mountains surrounding it. It was homemade by a Berber family and the most delicious meal we ate in Morocco. Ismail was our guide - the best guide on our vacation. He was so funny and intelligent, sharing information about everything we saw, plus random facts and funny stories. It’s a toss up as to whether he was the highlight of the tour or the Mountain View’s! Go on this tour!Written October 11, 2024
- 550owenf0 contributionsAmazing Tour GuideSuch an amazing tour and an amazing tour guide! Ismail (hope I've spelt that right!) was extremely fluent in English, very friendly / approachable, great photographer, great conversationalist, great humour, great taste of music - you get the point, he made the whole tour great! - yousefk6720 contributions5 star tripWe chose this day trip because of the great reviews. We truly had an amazing time. Ismail was our guide and he was wonderful. Picked us up on time in a comfortable air conditioned van. Very informative and great driver. Funny and polite. The scenery was amazing. The Berber families and their children were very welcoming. We had a delicious lunch on the roof top of one of their houses. The hiking guide Abdoul was great. Highly recommend the tripWritten October 10, 2024
- J8932TXelizabethl0 contributionsMust doHighly recommend to anyone, our guide was Ismail, he was very friendly and imformative. We done a lovely walk but remember to wear good footwear and be prepared for a walk! The berber House we went too for lunch was amazing and really got to experience the cultural food. The argon oil experience was amazing really got to know and all the women in there was so friendly. Amazing trip overall and met some amazing people on this trip too. Mixture of couples on the trip but all got along very well.Written October 8, 2024
- KZeppo0 contributionsTenmirt Mohamed! We had a fabulous day in the Atlas Mountains with Mohamed. He shared so much local knowledge with us and kept us all amused with his humour too. He patiently taught us Arabic and Berber words and encouraged us to use them throughout the trip. He introduced us to Ali who took us on a fascinating guided hike around his home village and surrounding area. A little further on we met Fatima and Amina who had cooked us a beautiful lunch - the most delicious Tagine we have tasted. The views on this trip are spectacular and Mohamed’s driving is top notch - careful and steady around the mountain roads. Tenmirt Mohamed!Written October 8, 2024
- Paulien H0 contributionsWat een gastvrij land!A great tourguide, nice and energetic. He knows all there was to know. The walk with the local guide was also very special. A great guy who knew everyone we met from the villages. Nice freshly picked fruit available along the route! Breakfast and lunch were in wonderful locations. The food was delicious, the places very clean and authentic. Great hospitality from everyone we met.Written October 8, 2024
- Voyage138820721240 contributionsUnique and amazing experienceIt was an amazing trip with Ismail. He is very knowledgeable guide and the trip from the start till the end was very entertaining. Ismail shared with us many interesting facts about the area. So many spectacular views and breathtaking sceneries. A special moment is a coffee/tea next to a river, and a visit to a Berber village. We walked next to apple trees, and could test some at the local village, tea was so refreshing and tasty. After the hike there was a delicious lunch. The quality of meat and freshness of the meal is something outstanding. And there were very less tourists, so all the experience felt very unique.Written October 7, 2024
- GlobeTrotting8159350 contributionsGreat day out in the mountainsWe had a great day out with Ismail. He was friendly and helpful throughout the day and made it a fun journey, involving all the passengers. The scenery is wonderful and there were plenty of opportunities to stop for photos. Thanks also to Abdul for leading the hike and to the family who made us a delicious lunch, which for us was vegan. I recommend this trip as a great escape into the fresh air from the noise and heat of the city.Written October 6, 2024
- 30jenw0 contributionsFantastic trip! Go for it!Amazing day trip with stunning views of the Atlas mountains. Our tour guide - Muhammad No.1 was fantastic, super friendly and knowledgeable. Our hiking guide Ali took us through the Berbers' villages to see how they live. The lunch was at a Berbers family's orchard. The food was so delicious and generously portioned! It's a small group and we get to know our lovely companions. Definitely recommend this trip.Written October 6, 2024
- annabpengers0 contributionsA must when visiting Morocco! Just incredible 💗Could not recommend this tour more! From the minute our guide Ismail picked us up we were met with such a great positive, kind and selfless energy. I’ve never met someone who knows so much information not only about his own country but about all of ours on the tour too! We learnt so much about literally everything and everywhere! We were laughing from the get go and he made absolutely sure we were all enjoying! We stopped off in a women’s co op where they cooked us fresh bread with some beautiful dips and tea for breakfast. We were then shown the products they make which were just lovely! The mountains were just stunning and reminded us so much of northern Vietnam - Ha Giang! Our guide was so friendly and showed us around a couple of the Berber villages, he took us into his own home town and showed us around the village, invited us into his family home where they kindly provided fresh apples and tea. We were shown a traditional Berber house which was so interesting! The walk was lovely down into the valley and then up into the villages. We were dropped off for food at the last village we went through and the lovely people cooking our food were so hospitable the food was incredible! We loved every minute of the tour and will definitely be recommending it to anyone we know coming to Morocco! Ismail you absolutely made our trip and we hope to meet you again one day on our return! Thank you so much 😊Written October 6, 2024
- andrewd6600 contributionsTour of real life in Morocco with great food and spectacular scenery. What a fantastic trip! Abdul was a superb tour guide and a walking encyclopedia. It was great to meet local villagers who welcomed us into their homes. Lots of information that you wouldn't get from a standard tour. There was also a bonus donkey ride if you wanted one! The lunch was the best food we have had on our trip so far. Highly recommended.Written October 5, 2024

I've probably done over 100 tours across 50 countries and this tour is at the very top! This trip is meticulously planned down to the final detail. Abdul does an excellent job providing in depth insight to the geopolitical landscape in Morocco, while explaining the historical background to each site along the way. Rather than a tour, Adbul's friendly nature makes it feel like you're spending the day with a buddy.
Both the breakfast and lunch meals were scrumptious and located away from touristic crowds, making the experience both cozy and intimate. Both restaurants are set on terraces which grant you an overview of the mountains (breakfast) or a spectacular view of Ait Ben Haddou (lunch). The family ran restaurants are very welcoming, humble and accommodating. The route chosen also has stunning views of the Moroccan countryside overlooking colorful canyons, wadis and various Berber villages. As for Ait Ben Haddou, the site speaks for itself. It's a must visit village that's incredibly unique and well preserved. The ride back to the hotel is also scenic and includes a stop to a famous riad.
All in all, I can't recommend this tour enough! Worth every penny. Stop thinking and just book it.

This day was a real highlight of our holiday to Marrakech. We had a Private tour with our guide Abdul to thd World UNESCO site of Ait Benhaddou in the atlas mountains. Abdul picked us up on time, spoke impeccable English and was a warm, welcoming, polite and personable driver. His pride in his country and knowledge of it's history were evident and he engaged us in interesting and educational conversation for the entire trip. The scenery on the journey from Marrakech to Benhaddou was breathtaking. We had lots of photo stops when Abdul kindly took photos of us. A stop for breakfast on the way in a cafe with stunning views was included. When we reached Ait Benhaddou Abdul handed us over to Muhammad, a local Berber guide who had lived in Benhaddou and whose family still owned a house there. Once again, a charming gentle, man who was very knowledgeable about his village and the history. He escorted us around the village, unlocking his father's house to let us experience the real Berber life in the village. His story was fascinating and he was rightly proud of his heritage. We then had tea in the Kazbah and walked back across the river for a Morrocon lunch. All food and drink was included in the price. All food was well prepared with good hygiene and all of the toilet facilities were spotlessly clean.
A very good value trip that we would highly recommend.

It is slight more expensive than some other day trip offerings to Ait Ben Haddou, but it is worth every penny if you are looking for a professionally organised, engaging and in-depth day tour led by a very knowledgeable and considerate guide who’s absolutely passionate about the local culture. Abdul is a class act, fully recommend!!
1. Abdul is very knowledgeable and answered all our questions with rich context in from history, geology, culture to local economy and produce. His wealth of knowledge and open-mindedness is impressive and his willingness to share demonstrated true passion in his native country and historical heritage, and we definitely benefited from it.
2. The day trip is very well planned, with breakfast and lunch with great view (lunch on a terrance overlooking Ait Ben Haddou is amazing), as well as refreshing tea/coffee break. At Ait Ben Haddou, we sat down with a Berber local for a nice chat, and Abdul facilitated the conversation professionally to translate whenever needed. Abdul went out of his way to stop at vista points for us to take photos and took great photos for us. For a big photography buff like me, it’s only usually possible to stop at those points if I drove myself Ina rental.
3. Abdul is very kind and drove very safely, we believe he might even have received defensive driving lesson. We are so lucky to have him as our guide and can only hope more visitors to benefit from his knowledge, passion, thoughtfulness and excellent service in their visits to Morrocco/ Marrakesh.

It was a long drive to Ait Ben Haddou, but Abdullah, our guide, made several stops so we could take pictures, or he could explain something to us. It was a smooth and beautiful drive, the village was beautiful and a must see for every "Gladiator" or "Game of Thrones" fan! Abdullah knew one of the last 6 families which still live in the village, so we could drink a tea in their home. We would highly recommend this tour for everyone who wants to see the beautiful landscapes.

After trawling through many similar operators offering this tour we chose Morocco Inspiring Tours as it ticked more boxes for us. The day started with a prompt pickup by our driver guide Abdullah in a very clean and comfortable Toyota Prado. Abdullah was great from beginning to end, a very confident and safe driver with a deep understanding and knowledge of not only the specifics of the tour but of Morocco as a whole. The kasbar settlements in question although different are both extremely interesting and give an insight into the ancient days of the Saharan camel trains. A great day out, highly recommended.

Our guide Abdullah was excellent company for a full (and I mean full!) day tour. He was both incredibly hospitable and knowledgable, which is the perfect blend.
The tour itself was only the two of us, another couple and a solo traveller. Many of the other tours seemed to have around 20 people, so this was the perfect size.
Everywhere we stopped was absolutely incredible, either for incredible food, incredible views or the incredible Kasbahs we visited. Our group was the only one we saw that had tea inside the Kasbahs, hosted by the family that lived there, which was an amazing privilege and such a warm, cosy home.
I would absolutely recommend this tour for anyone looking to see more than just Marrakech and to venture out into the mountains.

We had an exceptional tour experience with Mohammed in a very comfortable SUV. It was a private tour, just the two of us, which made the trip extremely comfortable and personalized.
All expenses were included in the price, so there were no unexpected additional costs.
The highlight was the visit to Ait Ben Haddou, guided by a very friendly and knowledgeable local guide. On our way back, we made an unplanned stop at the salt mines, which was an unexpected and delightful addition to our itinerary.
While this tour might be more expensive than others, the quality of the experience and the level of service made us feel truly privileged. It was worth every penny for the unique and high-quality experience we received.

The most wonderful day of our trip. The driver guide Mohammed is very organized, punctual and attentive to our needs. The day went perfectly. He also answered all our questions regarding Morocco, culture, economy, etc. The guide for the visit to Hait Ben Addou was also perfect. The meals were more than perfect! I recommend this experience to everyone!

My husband and I had a fabulous day with Abdullah, our driver and guide. From the moment he picked us up at 7 in the morning until he dropped us back off near our riad more than 12 hours later, the time just whizzed by.
First stop was breakfast at a small and spotless restaurant nestled in the mountains. Then we wound our way through the Atlas Mountains, stopping here and there for photo opportunities, on our way to the amazing Ait Ben Haddou. The walk to the top of the Ksar was just what we needed to give us a bit of a work out before lunch at a nearby Berber restaurant which was delicious.
We then continued on through varying mountainous landscapes to Telouet with the its fading, but still beautiful, grandeur. More photo and coffee stops on our way back completed a wonderful day.
We cannot thank Abdullah enough for his warmth and charm and for giving us such a delightful day out of the hustle and bustle of Marrakech.

We really enjoyed our day trip to visit Ait Ben Haddou and Telouet Kasbah. It was a long day with a lot of driving, but the driving was broken up with stops to look at different views and villages. The long drive was worth it to view some really impressive sites. Aid Ben Haddou in particular is a really interesting place, and Telouet surprised us with ornate decoration inside. Our tour guide Mohammed was lovely and took great care of us. Thanks so much!

What will the weather be on this trip? We are going January 19TH.

Hi All. We are interested in visiting the Atlas Mts on a day trip. We will be traveling in August (~95 degrees in Marrakech) will we need warm clothes for the mountains, or does the temperature not change too much? Thanks!
Written August 4, 2018
I agree. No warm clothes needed at that time of the year. The only drawback - minibus seats are not terribly comfortable .

Hi ,
When we went on this trip we were picked up by the cafe in the main square at 8.00am and dropped back at the same place at about 7.30pm. If your riad is accessible by vehicles they will pick you up and drop you back there, but many riads are not so the main square is the meeting point ... have a fab trip! X

Hi - I am signed up for a trip on Tuesday, May 1. Can you provide more information about pick up time and confirm you have my hotel information? Please let me know the best way to contact is so we can confirm. Thank you.
Written April 7, 2018
You have no need to worry as the local organisation is really good. You should be picked up at your hotel by a small bus and taken down to the Djem el Fna where the main organisation is located. There, they will sort you out either for a one day or a three day trip and put you on to the relevant bus. As regards time, I organised my trip through the hotel reception and was picked up at 7.00 a.m. when I paid the driver If you need an early breakfast, the hotel or riad will accommodate. Enjoy the trip, it is spectacular but sore on the butt.
