My 50th Birthday Experience to AFRICA, Accra Ghana 🇬🇭
Our tour guide Toufic was amazing. He was knowledgeable about the history of Ghana, the culture, and the community called Torgome. Where our Naming ceremony was held, with the tribe, Ewes located in the Volta Region knew Toufic well. Toufic called ahead to inform the tribe of our arrival time which made the welcome of our presence so exciting. Lastly, Toufic took us to the Volta lake, explaining it was the 2nd largest man made lake which was very beautiful and to enjoy lunch at the amazing Restaurant called Afrikiko, put the cherry on top of everything. Overall, an amazing experience and great atmosphere. We look forward to returning soon and hope our tour guide will again be with Toufic. Happy 50th birthday to ME! Thanks for everything my brother, Toufic! Till next time, Marlon and Michelle Peace!

          This is a MUST DO!!
Toufic is the best tour guide that Ghana has to offer. Not only does he have an amazing personality but his astute observations help you to better understand the culture. It was the highlight of my trip to have the naming ceremony after visiting Slave River and Elmina Castle. The entire community are so welcoming upon your arrival. Please be prepared to give a gift to the Chief after the ceremony. I didn’t know what give before getting on my flight so I gave some cedis. Lunch was great and the view of Lake Volta was stunning. I’d recommend this to any descendant looking to learn about the traditions of your ancestors. It truly was a highlight for my trip. Request Toufic after you book.

          Highly Recommended
Toufic (and Mohamed Awal) is a really great guide and the e-waste tour itself is highly recommended. It's an incredibly unique and shocking experience that can be difficult to come to terms with but I believe it to be necessary for everyone to understand better. Through all the chaos, they also give you a glimpse of the everyday lives of the warm people who live and work on the site - it's truly worth taking the time to visit.

          Perfect Accra Guide
Toufic is so friendly and was a fabulous guide for the private city tour. He answered our questions about the culture in Accra. He took us to a great lunch spot. The Osu Castle is so interesting and I loved learning about Dr Kwame Nkrumah at his museum. I highly recommend this company. I got in touch the day before I booked on what’s app. Great communication! Medasee!

Ghana Must Go Tours is a must. Really.
Ghana Must Go Tours (GMGT) is a must if you are visiting Ghana. Sure there are locals who are willing to take you to Cape Coast, the beach or Accra’s Art Center but your experience will not be matched to utilizing GMGT. Let me explain. 1. Even before arriving to Ghana I was emailing back and forth (not long!) with GMGT to explain where I wanted to go and how long I wanted to stay there. They were very patient and accommodating, changing the proposal to meet my needs. 2. When we arrived, Toufic (one of GMGT employees) was on time. If there was any delay, he let us know in advance. The group was just my husband and I, which was perfect, because my historian husband and I were not rushed while at the museum. That is not to say you can linger all day. He politely reminds you of the schedule! Which I appreciate, because I wanted to see everything. 3. Another advantage of GMGT is at the various sites - Elmina Castle, Cape Coast castle, Jamestown, Botanical Garden…Toufic saw to it that we had the best tour guides. They were eloquent and shared a lot of history. 4. For lunch we stopped at various restaurants with scenic views of the Atlantic or the Lake. I loved that he would sometimes place our order so we would have to wait long. 5. At the market we had a guide help us see as many booths as we wanted and negotiate. The was very helpful. Negatives? None about GMGT. Really. I will say some of the roads are bad (bumpy). On one very long road, even though we were in a nice vehicle, windows up, a/c on, it still felt like I was breathing the dust. So if you have asthma or COPD bring a mask. Otherwise, Ghana Must Go Tours is a must if it’s your first trip or you’re visiting again because you can’t see everything in one trip.

SCAMMER / WILL ROB YOU/ REFUSE TO GIVE YOU THE MONEY
First and foremost this company is a scam . They will charge 3x the price for there tours. Used them for safari u don’t see a lot of animals and motel is ran down , you only need to stay one night there is nothing to do after 2 hr safari. Booked for cape coast tour for 1200.00 overnight all the castles are next to each other. I know ur going to charge extra but 3x the price. I cancelled the trip within 1 hour after booking and he refused I told him ur scamming me . To show how he works he wanted me to send cash to an account in someone else name in nyc. But I didn’t then tells u to use an app and the fee was 167.00 usd. I told him I cancelled in your timeframe. He refused to give back my money . It’s currently under investigation. I’m attaching info for someone bank to show he’s crooked HORRIBLE STAY AWAY.

          Home - the Volta Region
From the moment our guide, Kobe, picked us up, we felt like family. His energy was like we knew each other since birth and he spoke to us from a place of love and protection. He is very knowledgeable about our past and present while remaining hopeful for what the future brings to Ghana. When we arrived in the Volta Region, the children greeted us like little cousins who haven't seen us in so long! The elders embraced us with a true "welcome back home, we miss you" energy. We walked through the village and greeted our neighbors. Walked to the clear river and took in the beauty of the area. Then walked back to dance and laugh and hug our people. The naming ritual was spiritual and authentic to the Region. The names chosen by the elders fit each of us PERFECTLY!!! The blessings received were given in abundance and I am forever grateful for this experience.

          Fun Times in Ghana
Kobe are tour guide was AMAZING! He was professional, personable and had a great sense of humor. He made the tour incredible! The baboons at Shai Hills were adorable. We thought the climb up the hill would be challenging but Kobe made sure we made it. It was worth it to see that incredible view. The lunch at Afrikiko Resort on the river was delicious, especially the Red-Red. The boat cruise was a perfect way to end the day.

          Tracking the elephants
The trip was amazing. I flew myself but I was picked up by Ayuba from my hotel and taken the two hour drive to Mole National Park. I stayed in the park two nights and three days, and went on Jeep and walking tours, tracked elephants, saw hyenas, warthog, baboons, monkeys, crocodiles and numerous birds. We visited the 600 year old Mosque. Went canoing and also did a night safari. 🐘 are very easy to track because they leave such big prints but it was still truly amazing to encounter them in the jungle. The guides were very knowledgeable and Ayuba was attentive and helpful. I had an amazing time. I would highly recommend Ayuba and his team.

          Safari and River cruise
Amara was an excellent guide. He went above and beyond to help with my disabled son through out the day. He was on time, friendly, informative, and even laughed with us :-). Safari was fun and nice short hike. Great experience. Boat ride could have been longer. Only disappointing part was not being able to go to the bridge. Bummer :-/. Thank you ☺️
