Itinerary

Day 1: Kathmandu to Sermathang, Helambu (2600m)

Stop At: Helambu trekking, Helambu, Nepal
We start early morning this day. We will pack our breakfast from the hotel and head towards the hidden Shangri-la “Helambu”. The drive will take us along the beautiful picturesque hills, villages and typical Nepali flat! So prepare accordingly. Usually it’s about 6-7 hours of jeep drive from Kathmandu to Sermathang but during monsoon, the roads up to Sermathang become inaccessible, so we must gear up for some trekking too of about 3-4 hours! Any how we reach there before sunset. The cooling fresh wind of Sermathang will boost your energy and mood and make you forget the tiring drive.

We will be back for lunch and in the afternoon; we will visit the Yangrima Boarding School. Sitting on the top of one of the hills around, this school will amaze you with its potential and innocent smiles of the students here. We will then visit Takpakharka which is about 30 mins walk from the school to enjoy the heavenly sunset. Dinner and overnight at Snowfall Mountain resort;

It’s about 5 hours of trek from Sermathang. This mystical hill top will take your breath away with its heavenly views and mythical folk lore. This place is spiritually very important and holy for the locals and it lies inside Langtang National Park. This place is also very famous for occasional sightings of the rare Red Pandas.

The jungles and natural richness will accompany you all the way to Ama Yangri. The Himalayan Langoors are common in these jungles. We come down from Ama Yangri and stay overnight at the Base camp area for the night in tented camps;
