5-Day Sunrise Tour in Kathmandu Near Everest
From US$270.00
Overview
A scenic, hilly region surrounding Nepal’s capital city, the Kathmandu Valley is filled with unforgettable mountain views and centuries-old temples. During this all-inclusive, multi-day tour, you’ll discover all the local highlights, from UNESCO-listed cultural landmarks to a sunrise view over Mt. Everest. All meals, hotels, and transportation (including airport pickup) are included, meaning you can skip planning, booking, and navigation hassles and focus on sightseeing.
What to Expect
Nepal is filled with spectacular heritage sites and stunning natural scenery. The Kathmandu Valley contains some of the country’s standout attractions, but arranging your own transportation is no easy task. During this in-depth, multi-day guided tour, you can settle back and let someone else handle all the logistics as you travel between sights.
Start with airport pickup in Kathmandu. All hotels are included on the tour, so you’ll save time to focus on enjoying the one-of-a-kind scenery and world-famous monuments. Tick off the highlights in Kathmandu, Bhaktapur, and Patan, including a hilltop temple, the world’s holiest Buddhist stupa, and centuries-old public squares. Historical attractions are spread out between the three ancient kingdoms, but you’ll travel comfortably in your own private transportation.
After visiting sights in the cities, you’ll be whisked away to the mountain resort of Nagarkot, famous for its sunrise and sunset views over the Himalayan range, including the legendary summit of Mt. Everest. Explore the countryside before returning to Kathmandu, where you’ll enjoy free time to wander the city at your own pace before heading to the airport for your flight home.

It’s a hit and miss thing. Your luck depends on the pollution level in the valley. We were there during supposedly the clearest period of the year but we saw nothing in early morning due to pollution.
