About
Homestay Trek gives you the chance to get to know a destination better. Although they are in slightly more off the beaten track, they are all in fascinating places that you might not have thought of going to otherwise. Wherever you go, your hosts will prepare traditional meals. Even if dal bhat is the national favourite, it is guaranteed to be different wherever you go. With this homestay trek, you know that a significant proportion of the money you spend is going straight into the pocket of an individual or community. The beneficial trickle-down effect of your money spent in the local economy has much greater impact and helps poor communities.

Nepal Trekking in Support for the Community lodges, Schools and Cottage Industries
In Singapore, we engaged the travel agent: X-Trekkers Adventure Consultant P/L which planned the entire trekking trails with the local company (Adventure Third Pole Trek). X-Trekkers also selected the entourage who went with us. It was a great team put together by the X-Trekkers. There were total 5 of us, 4 females and 1 male and we were all in our late forties, fifties and one above sixty. We had not much of an experience in mountain trekking but were really keen to start on one before we become too old for such stuff. With a well-tailored itinerary to suit our capacity, we set off to Nepal. As we are not as fit as the usual trekkers, we engage a total of 13 Nepalese to support our trek (See photos). We had a main chef, Ram Rimal with his assistants, security man, Ram (a Sherpa), also who took charge of setting up our camp and a group of porters to carry our belongings, while we carried our own backpacks for essentials like snacks, toiletries and drinks for the trails. We had an amazing guide, Adarsha (Bahadur) Mahat and he speaks really good English. He is very professional in his role, has a lot of care, patience and skills as our Trek Guide. He is constantly motivating, encouraging and supporting us (oldies) to push ourselves further. There was no stress to reach our destination; there were times for laughter, stop to admire a spot, time to take pictures, etc. The scenery along the trek was really beautiful and amazing! I was the slowest and the weakest amongst us and I received a lot of help and support from Adarsha. His simple sense of humour made the climb up and down less painful and he shared some information about Nepal's history. Ram, the Chef, was amazing with his dishes. We had Nepalese style cuisine, we had curry chicken, fried chicken, sandwiches, noodle soup, pasta, oat porridge (really yummy!), omelets, black tea, coffee, hot chocolate drink, honey-lemon-ginger drink. He is always thinking, planning and checking with us on our meals. We even had a picnic along a trek where food was prepared and cook on the spot! That was very memorable! We were served hot black tea upon waking up and a basin of hot water for our wash up every morning. When my sister experienced an altitude sickness, Ram the Chef was very calm. He advised her how to take the medication and cooked garlic soup for our meals to alleviate the sickness. At that time, Adarsha also quickly arranged a stay in the lodge instead of sleeping in the tent like the rest of us. Ram was constantly checking on my sister until her full recovery. The down-feathered sleeping bag together with the inner fleece lining makes a very warm bed during the night especially when temperature hit 3 degree Celsius! Our trek comprises mostly of camping out and a few nights in the lodges where we get to enjoy the two experiences. The entourage would reach the destination to prepare for our arrival, while Adarsha would be guiding us. From time to time, some of the Nepalese would come down to meet us to help carry our backpacks to relieve us of the load so that we could move faster towards the destination. With so much love and support, we reached our highest peak on the fourth day - Khopra Danda (3,660m). It was like a dream came true! All five of us made it and survived! So grateful to the team!

Worse airline customer service ever. rude and refuse to help.
Worse Airline customer service staff i have ever spoken to. Rude and Absolutely no help. i am due to go to Egypt in march. i booked with Loveholidays to later discover that luggage was not included. The website says i should go into the WIZZ Air website to book. Was not straightforward so called WIZZ Air customer service for assistance on 2 occasions. On both occasions the male staff was rude for no reason.Judging by their tone, i could tell straight away that they dont like people calling them for assistance. i explained to male why i rang as booking luggage was not straightforward. Male staff then asked me why i cannot do it online. Then he asked me security questions which i answered correctly. Male then said i failed the security questions so i need to go online and do it myself. Security questions include name, address, name of persons flying, and flight code, which i provided (after all, i know my name, address, etc, only to be told i failed the questions). To add insult to injury, to book luggage for 2 and seats cost me an extra £359 on top of the money quoted for the holiday on Loveholidays. Mark my words, this airline would be the ending of any booking agency who use them, due to poor service and incompetent, rude staff.

          Longest and steepest zipline!
The Pokhara Zipline is one of the longest and steepest ziplines in the world. I love ziplines, so I wasn't too worried about this one. The price included picking us up at our hotel and transporting us to the start of the zipline. As we made our way up to the top of Sarangkot, I realized how high we were going! I then got a bit nervous when I saw how high we were. However, the company people tested out the equipment and gave explicit and easy to follow instructions. The ride was a thrill although it seemed like we were at the bottom in no time! Transportation was also given back to our hotel. Overall, it was a great experience and I would recommend it.

          Too. Much. Waiting!
Seriously - too much waiting around. A 90-120 second experience utterly ruined by 3+ hours of just hanging around. If you love waiting for delayed flights, this is right up your street.

          Great short trek, great guide
I had a great 5 days trek in the Langtang valley. Suman Thapa my guide was exceptional. His technical skills helped me manage perfectly the altitude, thanks to his amazing knowledge of the country I learned so much about these beautiful mountains and amazing people, and above all Suman went out of his way to make sure I was very happy with the trek. I can not recommend him enough!

          Amazing Trip To Nepal
In October of 2018 I flew into Kathmandu Nepal. This being my first time traveling outside the country I did not know what to expect. However thanks to Trekking Top Nepal it was the trip of a lifetime. Thanks to their travel experience it was a walk in the park. Trekking Top Nepal has their own luxury hotel in the Tamel area of Kathmandu as well as their own travel agency Osho World Adventure which allows them to take care of all your travel needs. They are able to help with foreign currency exchange, private vehicle rentals, ticketing and much more. At the Dom Himalaya there is a delicious multi-cuisine restaurant. Suitable even for the pickiest of eaters. Trekking Top Nepal was great from start to finish. It was a one stop shop for all of our travel needs for a low price. One time in Nepal is not enough. Can’t wait to go back!
