- Phattharaporn S0 contributions#Ayutthaya TempleAyutthaya Ayutthaya, Thailand's ancient capital, is a captivating destination that immerses visitors in its rich history. Founded in 1350, this UNESCO World Heritage site boasts an impressive array of historical ruins, including majestic temples and towering stupas. The city’s highlights include Wat Phra Si Sanphet with its iconic chedis, Wat Mahathat where the famous Buddha head entwined in tree roots can be seen, and Wat Chaiwatthanaram, which offers stunning riverside views. Wandering through Ayutthaya’s archaeological park, visitors can appreciate the intricate architecture and gain insight into the grandeur of the once-thriving Kingdom of Siam. Its blend of historical significance and scenic beauty makes Ayutthaya a must-visit for anyone interested in Thailand's cultural heritageWritten September 15, 2024
- Teporah0 contributionsWell worth itThe best way to start my solo visit to Bangkok. The pickup from my non-pickup listed hotel, bus trip to and river cruise back from the Ayutthaya Temples was professionally timed and run. Donna (tour guide) was exceptional and knowing we were in her home “town” made the experience even more moving. I totally recommend this as a must do.Written September 8, 2024

- BKK-UTH0 contributionsToo crowded. If you go without a guide, you really have to look for the entrance because you have to walk through a shop and the entrance is behind it. There are a lot of people, but it is well organized and moves quickly. In my opinion, the platform is too crowded with people. WARNING: you are not allowed to take cameras, phones or any hard objects onto the platform. So it is not possible to take a photo of yourself on the platform. You have to stand next to it and someone has to take the photo. It is cordoned off with a chain so that you can take photos behind the barrier.Written August 9, 2024
- PeteA_Rose0 contributionsGreat temple experience and fab river cruise. The whole experience was fab. The driver collected us bang on the time he said he would followed by a short drive to collect the coach. The temples were amazing and well worth visiting, the tour guide was knowledgable but not to the point where he was talking for the sake of it. he gave us enough information when needed. The highlight of the day was the river cruise from the outskirts of bangkok to the centre, with the added bonus of lunch on board great views of such a vibrant and developing city from the river.Written July 29, 2024

Long tail boat was ok ..photo on the water heading up to the bridge is nice. Only downside is the return to bangkok, it does take a while as bangkok roads are so busyWritten May 28, 2024

- Elizabeth H0 contributionsGreat tourWe had a great guide! The bus was comfortable and the food on the boat was tasty. The boat could have stood for stronger AC, but we’re in a heat wave so it’s probably fine normally.Written April 7, 2024

A relatively good half day trip to see one of the most visited temples in Thailand. The climb up the stairs is a good work out, taking the cable up or down is also an option (please note that there can be a bit of a wait for the cable cars).
Guide was very informative and the driver (Journey Smile tours) was great in negotiating the drive up and picking up/dropping off guest o their respective hotels.

This tour started off badly as my partner had hurt her back the day before. Franky, our guide came to pick us up but I told him about my partner, so what he did was to take us to the hospital, and waited until she got an appointment, before taking me on the tour.
We then went on the long drive on the winding roads up the mountains, 2000m above sea level, until we reached the top, unfortunately no one told me about how cold it would be when we got to the top..............
After meeting the hilltribe at the top, we then proceeded back down, and headed to the Wat Doi Suthep Temple, which included climbing 306 steps. My guide was by my side throughout this, telling me this history of everything here, even taking pictures for me and TRYING to get me to try friend worms (No chance)
He could see that my mind was preoccupied with my partner not being there, so he called the hospital for me to check she was ok and even offered to collect her on the way back to the hotel
Thanks Franky for being an amazing guide!

After a lovely trip up the mountain, we came to this small golden temple. Although crowded, it was well worth it.There are countless Buddhas surrounding the main tower. Unfortunately, the view was clouded over with smog, but the whole place is worth seeing.
