- Z797EBkellye0 contributionsGreat experienceAmazing trip, we all had so much fun. I would definitely do it again if I came when the water was higher. Great way to see other areas of chiang mai besides the cityWritten March 22, 2025
- marina p0 contributionsNice activities with poor transportation. The guides and activities were amazing but spending 2 hours each way in the back of an open truck without AC inhaling fumes was disappointing to say the least.Written March 13, 2025
- 145smithap0 contributionsGood, looking for some detailsThe trip was fab. The staff were excellent. The group was excellent too. Though I had requested several times to get the email address of the co travellers, the company did not provide. Hope they will provide soon.Written March 8, 2025
- flamesearcher10 contributionsExcellent in every way.Fantastic trip, possibly the best I have ever been on. The caves were very interring and great to see so many bats up so close( also Huntsman spiders) The kayaking was simply Amazing, an experience I will never forget. Excellent value for money with superb guides.Written March 3, 2025

- marioaQ3102DJ0 contributionsGreat DayGreat day. Well organized. Highly recommended for a day away from the busy City. Some tight spots in the cave but well worth it.Written February 17, 2025
- Climber076002234340 contributionsAwesome day in nature!Awesome well planned day! The caves are safe with enough adventure to keep you excited.. the kayaking is set in the beautiful landscape of the Ping river with the mountains as the backdrop.. safe and fun.. make sure you concentrate on the kayaking but don’t forget to stop and admire the view! Well worth it!Written February 11, 2025
- hannah199120160 contributionsFun, unique day trip!We really enjoyed this excursion! The cave itself is a temple/is inside a temple, so make sure you dress appropriately (ladies knees and shoulders covered). They will provide sarongs to cover up if you are not prepared. And wear good/grippy shoes for the caves. The caves were definitely cool, tons of bats and some big spiders, but most of the stalagtites/stalagmites are dead from human touch. The kayaking was a lot of fun and also a lot of work in the dry season! We had to work hard as the current wasn't too strong. Definitely bring a dry bag or plan to leave everything in the van as several people flipped and there was some fun splashing to keep cool. And the guides were fantastic. Knowledgeable, fun, and made sure to take some photos of us adventurers on the river.Written February 10, 2025
- 996judep0 contributionsSee aboveThe slide show presentation about how to kayak was too academic to be useful and was a waste of time. No mention was made in the TripAdvisor ad of cave visit in the morning. Also the minibus trip was very long ie 2 hours. Apart from that it was a good experience.Written February 8, 2025
- meI5391JQ0 contributionsA great expWe are two travellers from Germany and made this trip for the second time. A couple of years ago we made the same trip with the same company. The experience was great - both times! There is a perfect transfer to Chiang Dao Valley north of Chiang Mai. You get all safety instructions you need. Even not experienced people can enjoy this fabulous tour. We highly recommend this trip.Written February 7, 2025
- andreil3700 contributionsExcellentTrip was wonderful. The team was very polite and carring preparing for the kayak. A tourist lost her phone in the river. The guys spent more than a half an hour to look for it . It was like looking for a needle in a haystack. They finally found it. It was amazing not just because they found it but because they did it on they own free will! We were informed in advance not to take our valuables during the kayak.Written January 31, 2025
- noorc20250 contributionsI want to do this again! What an amazing tour. I got picked up at my hostel and we were given a pre-kayak meal to ensure we had enough energy to make it through the day. Then we got a clear briefing and we were off. The river gave us astonishing views of the Thai jungle, as well as some challenging but doable obstacles to overcome. It was very beginner friendly, though be prepared to get wet if your motor-skills are questionable ;). I fell in once, but we had a laugh about it and the river temperature was enjoyable. After the kayaking we shared lunch (which can be catered to veggie/vegan diets) and we drove back to Chiang Mai. During the drive we had a good laugh together and I got some great tips from the guide about what to do in South East Asia. Couldn’t be happier, thanks for a great time!Written January 29, 2025
- MsParadox0 contributionsGreat day in Chiang DaoOur guide Jen (J-Lo) was amazing! From the fantastic cave, we went kayaking downstream and it was so much fun! The kayak instructor kept teasing us, as me and hubby were on a double kayak but everyone fell onto the water except for us lol Very fun experience, 100% recommend! - 397akankshak0 contributionsSo much fun!!Thank you Golf and Bass, you made the tour so much fun. I really enjoyed the whole day and saw some more of Chiang Mai's natural beauty. Kayaking was also so much fun haha. The lunch was delicious. Everything was just brilliant. I would highly recommend.Written January 20, 2025

My partner and I had a great day out up in the mountainous jungle with our lovely guide Tui. We were picked up from our hotel in the morning, signed in at the company office where we chose our route for the day and then were driven out to where we began our hike. Due to the rainfall the night before we did an alternative route but it was still enriching. Tui spoke to us about the native trees and plants and he kindly offered to take photos along the way. There are some steep and muddy parts of this trek, which require some stamina and a decent level of fitness. After a few hours we made it to the village (due to the time of the year the summit was closed) and then to a nearby restaurant for a local lunch. We enjoyed seeing the temples, soaking in nature and learning more about Thai culture. This was a great out of the city excursion and Tui was a fabulous guide!

I was by chance alone with a guide, Hei (sorry for the mistake in the spelling of his name). He was very funny, careful all the way and he showed me around telling anecdotes and answering all my questions. He was very kind and I had an amazing experience, laughing and enjoying the wonderful nature!
The hike itself was really what I expected, sporty and beautiful, the soup we had at the village in the Jungle was really good and their (own) coffee was delicious yet very strong. We finished with the temple visit which was nice but a bit short.
The organisation in the morning to get there was a bit messy at the store but all good, it was not dramatic.

My daughters & I had an awesome day with our guide A! It was only the 3 of us, so we were lucky to have him all to ourselves!
Unfortunately the hike to the highest summit is closed right now, but we still hiked 2.5 miles and A said the elevation gain is about 800 meters. Very steep in sections!
We brought along temple appropriate clothing (covered legs & shoulders) and put those on over hiking clothes along the way so we could visit the 2 temples. (And put them right back in our backpacks after!)
A also took us to a village where we enjoyed local coffee and guided us on another hiking trail to a waterfall.
Highly recommend!

This was a really rewarding hike. I was picked up from my hotel around 9:30 am and after all the pick ups and formalities we started the hike around 10:30 am and I was dropped off at 6:30pm. Our guide Tui was warm and funny which definitely helped when the hike got challenging. There are some difficult elements of this hike including really steep points where you are effectively climbing up the mountain ! The views and nature are phenomenal and we didn’t even have clear skies. Recommended for anyone looking to break up their trip with a good balance of exercise and nature though you would need to be of reasonable fitness level!

Amazing tour, we done the 7 hours hike and mountain bike tour. the tour guide( called A) was so good and he ‘s very experience. He was very patience and given us plenty of time to enjoy the hike. He pointed out the history of the track and join in the fun. We enjoyed very much.

This is a tough but very rewarding hike. The guides are top notch and their humour keeps you going. Do this hike early in the holiday and earn everything else after it! Anyone with a reasonable fitness level and perseverance can manage this, although there are points where you can throw the towel in. We cracked on and had a wonderful time, although I am writing this sitting by my pool having a well earned beer.

The views from the top of the summit were amazing. The hike itself was good, but hard and very steep in some places but push through it is worth it!
Tui our guide was really good!

Be aware, this is not a leisure hike or a tough hike. It’s a treacherous one! However, it was an unforgettable experience and I personally really enjoy hiking and being active. There were 2 guides that led the hike and they were so lovely! It was also extremely helpful to have them there.

This was the most difficult hike I have ever been on. I have only been on a few hikes before but this was extremely challenging.
We were picked up early and hiked to the Doi Suthep Temple. This took about 2.5 hours. This was very steep uphill hike. Wear comfortable shoes, bug spray and bring lots of water. we thought this was very difficult. We chose not to hike to the summit since our guide let us know the second half of the hike (4 hours remaining) would be much more uphill and more extraneous. We are 2 college students and are in decent physical condition (By the way). Nevertheless, he suggested we hike towards some waterfalls and finish with a hike down hill, which would still take another 2.5 hours.
So glad we did this! The hike down by the waterfalls was beautiful. The downhill was challenging as well since it was very steep and slippery at times. The tail was narrow at some points (about 1 ft wide). But overall amazing.
Overall, it was a very challenging hike but it was well worth it and amazing. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and took us to get lunch after.

Fantastic hike with really great guides! Tony and A were fun and knowledgeable and really made the trip special! Views were fantastic and I really have no complaints at all.
Do be advised that some parts of the hike are extremely steep and require a bit of clambering…they would be considered challenging if you’re not relatively fit. This accounts for maybe 10% of the hike overall

Hi, my partner and I are interested in doing the tour in late March. However, we have heard that Doi Suthep National Park is closed until April 30th due to smog. Is that true/ is the full tour available in late March? Thank you!
