Hanoi Street Food Walking Tour

Combine Hanoi’s culture with its cuisine on a street food walking tour, designed to provide an insider glimpse into the city. In addition to receiving personalized attention in a small group limited to 12, you’ll have access to places traditional tour vehicles can’t reach and discover local specialities, such as banh cuon (pork crepes), which you may otherwise have missed. All food and drinks are included for a seamless experience.

What to Expect

Your food tour begins in central Hanoi, where you’ll greet your guide and small group and set off toward your first food stop: Dong Xuan, a covered market replete with hawker stalls selling fresh seafood and exotic fruit.

After sampling a few snacks, you’ll head to Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Watch chefs hard at work in an open-kitchen restaurant and then sit down to sample bahn cuon, a lesser-known delicacy featuring crispy pork and crepes.

Your tour concludes with a fruit-and-condensed-milk dessert, which you’ll enjoy in a cafe with views over Hoan Kiem Lake.

Great way to sample some Local dishes

This was a great tour with a very friendly and knowledgeable guide. They made allowances for my wife who isn’t a big seafood lover by changing some of the dishes. The food was very tasty.

There were two vegetarians in our group - just give the tour company plenty of notice and they can co-ordinate with the different restaurants / food vendors.

During our walking tour, we probably walked no more than 2 km, at a very leisurely pace, with several stops along the way to try some of the local foods and hear stories from our guide detailing a bit of history and... More
