Hanoi Street Food Walking Tour
From US$29.00

Combine Hanoi’s culture with its cuisine on a street food walking tour, designed to provide an insider glimpse into the city. In addition to receiving personalized attention in a small group limited to 12, you’ll have access to places traditional tour vehicles can’t reach and discover local specialities, such as banh cuon (pork crepes), which you may otherwise have missed. All food and drinks are included for a seamless experience.

What to Expect

Your food tour begins in central Hanoi, where you’ll greet your guide and small group and set off toward your first food stop: Dong Xuan, a covered market replete with hawker stalls selling fresh seafood and exotic fruit.

After sampling a few snacks, you’ll head to Hanoi’s Old Quarter. Watch chefs hard at work in an open-kitchen restaurant and then sit down to sample bahn cuon, a lesser-known delicacy featuring crispy pork and crepes.

Your tour concludes with a fruit-and-condensed-milk dessert, which you’ll enjoy in a cafe with views over Hoan Kiem Lake.

All food highlights of Hanoi you'll probably need

I suggest taking this tour on the first day you at Hanoi. It's not about food only, it also shows how local people leave. You'll visit random food markets and some nice places. Also, we had a really nice guide on the tour.

Perfect introduction to Hanoi

I went on this on my first night in Hanoi and it was the perfect introduction to the city. A chance to explore the streets and taste the food. A wonderful time with our excellent guide Chinh Vu.

Eat with the locals

It was a pleasant balmy evening walk, starting at the markets in the old quarter. Our guide Cuong had a greet personality and was informative. We ate some good food and saw stuff that we might otherwise have walked straight past. Having a guide made...More

Yes, one of our group was gluten free, 90% of the food is either rice based or vegetables. I think there was a bun but not sure what it was made of just don't have it and enjoy the rest of the tour.

There were two vegetarians in our group - just give the tour company plenty of notice and they can co-ordinate with the different restaurants / food vendors.
