Can Gio Biosphere Reserve Tour by Luxury Speedboat
From US$107.00
Overview
Mekong Delta’s Can Gio Biosphere Reserve, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is a haven for wildlife, but difficult to access independently from Ho Chi Minh. This small-group tour whisks you there by speedboat to explore its wildlife-rich mangroves and lagoons. Ride a rowboat, follow trails, and see monkeys, birds, crocodiles, and gibbons in one smooth, guided excursion. A light breakfast, lunch, and hotel transfers are included in this day out.
What to Expect
Depart your Ho Chi Minh hotel and enjoy a deluxe speedboat ride along the Mekong Delta’s forest-framed tributaries to Can Gio. Aim to bring binoculars with you.

As you cruise, savor onboard refreshments, stop to visit Can Giuoc market, and gaze at the passing rice fields, fruit orchards, and mangroves.
On arrival, delve into the reserve to discover and learn about its ecosystem and animal, bird, and plant life. Delve into rustic fishing hamlets, ride a rowboat across the Giant Bat Lagoon, and—after a short hike—enjoy a riverside lunch of classic Vietnamese cuisine.

Then, head for the salt-marsh forest reserve of Vam Sat Park. Here, watch for monkeys and birds, go crab fishing, and visit a crocodile reserve—perhaps feeding them using fishing rods—or opt for a guided mangrove walk.

After your return boat trip to Ho Chi Minh, your tour ends at your hotel.

I've been to Can Gio several times, and was consequently unwilling to waste my money on one of the Vietnamese bus tours. The destinations selected and the quality of the service were beyond compare. A real view of the mangrove forest and Vietnamese life. Despite...More
