Full-Day Mekong Delta Bike Tour from Ho Chi Minh City
From US$134.00
Cycling around the Mekong Delta in a day from Ho Chi Minh takes precision planning if going alone. With this small-group tour, equipment, a guide, and a scenic route are included. Travel to the Delta by minivan, grab a bike, and roam lush waterside paths, villages, artisanal workshops, and markets away from the usual tourist boats. Lunch at a family home, snacks, and a rowboat canal ride complete the tour.
What to Expect
Meet in central Ho Chi Minh City and journey by air-conditioned minivan to the Mekong Delta, south Vietnam’s agricultural heartland.

On arrival, enjoy tea or coffee, and hop on your bike. Don a helmet and after a safety briefing, set out behind your guide to explore. The approximately 17-mile (27-kilometer) route takes you along quiet paved roads and dirt tracks, past rice paddies, farms, and villages, and includes photo and snack stops.

Call at a mat-weaving workshop, visit a cocoa farm, and pedal around two wet markets selling fresh fish and other produce. Follow waterside paths along wider Mekong tributaries and visit the region’s biggest wholesale food market.

Stop at a shrimp farm and temple before visiting a family home for a homemade lunch in the garden. After your meal and a hand-rowed sampan ride along peaceful canals, your trip ends with a drop-off in central Ho Chi Minh City.

Great day trip

Joined a group of 6 on a day trip to Mekong Delta and really enjoyed it. Very well organised, informative, fun. Riding through some spectacular spots with a few stops along the way such as herbs and cocos farms. Happy to have found them.
