With its stilted villages and scenic farms, the Mekong Delta offers enough to see that it’s difficult to see the highlights on a day trip from Ho Chi Minh, especially on your own. But this guided tour makes it possible: Visit a family home, take a horse-cart ride, and boat through canals (upgrade for a bike tour). A small group size means plenty of time to ask questions.

Alex - Bloody legend, mate! The actual tour was pretty average, perfect to take my Mum along too who hadn’t yet been outside of Ho Chi Minh City, but if you’ve done a couple of day tours in Vietnam already it was pretty standard. The day was made by Alex, our tour guide, who was well practiced in a variety of accents, phrases, and slang from the nationalities of all the guests that had us laughing along with him all day. He also had a very interesting take on Vietnamese history that I enjoyed listening too.
All in all, it was a comfortable, well-priced day trip with solid entertainment so would recommend to others - just remember to bring along all your small dong notes for tips along the way!

If you have only one full day to spend in Vietnam, this is the best tour you should do. Our very nice attentive kind tour guide Mr Fa talked about the history and many interesting customs of Vietnam along our 1.5 hour van ride while enjoying the beautiful scenery of the green rice fields and unique buildings outside. We were a group of 12 and the van ride was fun talking and getting to know of other tour participants. If you are a frequent first/business class flyer with long legs, you might prefer their upgraded tour version with a limo. Over all, it was a very satisfying amazing day tour for such an inexpensive price!

It is definitely a value for money tour. A 10 hours long tour, started from Ho Chi Minh district 1. The tour guide (Alex) tried his best to keep the whole bus of tourists engaged. I am surprised with how multi-lingua Alex is, not only he can speak some basic phrases in multiple languages, he played guitar and sang spainish songs, malay song, english song and chinese song even. Offcourse, these are just the additional entertainment he put forward for everyone. What's more important, he shared the history of Saigon (Ho Chi Minh) and Mekong Delta, the culture of people at Mekong Delta, the belief of the 4 islands naming, and he shared how the Vietnameses endured a long lock down with little income due to COVID. Other than the knowledge, he is a guy that can crack jokes all the time.
The tour however, came with some stops at Royal Jelly (honey) shop, Bamboo fiber shop, and coconut candy shop too. If you are not fans of these shops, you can probably consider a 1 day combined tour of Chu Chi Tunnel and Mekong Delta. I am ok with the stops as I know the price charged for the whole tour is really cheap, so it is still a great value for money. What else we can ask for, with such a small fee, we get bus ride of 3 hours plus, a long boat ride to cruise between islands, a sampan rowing trip along canal, a tuk-tuk ride on the island, complimentary mineral water, and free decent lunch, fresh tropical fruits, mekong folks music too.

The experience itself was nice, activities were planned out good, they offered snacks and water all the way and we didn’t have to wait in any lines etc. The problem was the guide, who was terrible. He kept making the whole group uncomfortable with jokes about degrading women the whole day. He was unkind to women travelling without men in their group and spoke about women (and a few times about gays) in general in a disgusting way. He also noted that he knows not everybody likes him and he is ready to have bad reviews so I hope this one is kept up here then. Would definetly not recommend to anyone femme presenting, gay or for those who don’t want to witness 9 hours of discriminational behaviour. Tour guide was named Alex.

Overall it was a nice day out, giving a glimpse into the landscape of the Mekong delta and the local activities on the different islands (honey, fruits and coconut products, all of course available to be purchased).
The tour guide, Theo, made sure that the restaurant had a vegetarian meal for me (fried rice, soup and spring rolls with soy), and generally took great care of the whole group. Unfortunately, we were unlucky with the weather during the boat parts, and the format in itself is very much prepared for groups of tourists (several at the same time), but it remains in itself an easy way to check the delta off the list of must see around Ho Chi Minh City.

What a great experience! Amazing value for money and the itinerary has been really thoughtfully put together - just the right amount of time at each place. The real star of the show was our guide Bao - full of charisma and we could rest easy knowing that we were in good hands the whole time. He even taught me how to order a pho the correct way. This man needs a promotion!

Alex was a great tour guide who was upbeat, positive and entertaining the whole trip. It was a huge day trip and value for money with a bus ride, boating over the Mekong and stops at some local honey and coconut candy establishments. Alex also carried his guitar the whole trip in case he wanted to rock out some tunes on the way - mad respect.
The beginning of the journey involves a rest stop where they market some bamboo goods and a magic scarf? - a little like an infomercial in real life, but understand that it might tickle some people's fancy!
Overall a great trip.

Unfortunately can’t say that this was an enjoyable tour. All of these day trips include visits to gift shops, and peddling of souvenirs, but to be honest that felt like most of what this trip was. First stop, being put in a room and sold kitchen cloths, underwear and scarves like a live, awkward infomercial 🤷🏽♂️. Second stop, hold a beehive and be sold some honey. Third stop, see a coconut machine and be sold sold candy and coconut souvenirs. Really not what I was hoping from the tour. The good part was the 10 minute Sampan boat ride, which is what all the excursion pictures focus on, but not worth the 10 hour excursion. Would recommend to do Cu Chi, or wait for Ha Long Bay, this was a day poorly spent in my opinion.

Amazing tour!!! After reading some of the previous reviews I must say the company does improve on its service based on feedback.
I had no issues with people forcing us to tip nor did the tour guide ask us to write a review in front of us. In fact, he made a point to say if anything uncomfortable like that happens to let him know so he can help us walk away.
I had Lan as our tour guide and he is so funny! A guide that truly likes to talk to you and cares about your experience!
This tour had so much bang for the buck: snake wine, traditional music, local fruits, biking through the forest, eating coconut candy hot from the press and drinking fresh coconut juice. So many things that I don't remember reading on the description!
The described activities of the temple, the ferry to the island and the traditional row boat ride were well worth it for the beautiful pictures. Even in rainy season with muddy water and grey skies it was beautiful!
Highly recommend!

We have come across mention of the Mekong Delta in travel books and also novels based in South East Asia that we had to see it for ourselves.
We opted for a day tour and booked via Trip Advisor. We were collected from our hotel just after our breakfast by Mr Kong who was out tour guide for the day as we proceeded to the town of My Tho. We were lucky that we were only eight of us on this particular day so we had the luxury of a VIP minivan rather than the bus which was comfortably luxurious.
At the jetty we got to use the washroom and also grab a coffee with some snacks.
The boat ride to Unicorn Island on the Tien River was pleasant and our guide Kong gave us great information of the region and also about the history of Vietnam which was very helpful to us to understand the life of the common man.
Our first stop was at the Coconut Candy factory where they explained to us the process and also, we purchased a lot of candy for friends back home.
Next stop was the Honey bee keeping and fruit garden where we got to sample honey, hold a python, buy Royal jelly and sample tropical fruits while being entertained by a musical group who sang beautiful songs in the local language.
Next on our schedule was a golf cart ride across the island to our rendezvous with the sampan which would take us back to our motor boat. The ride was thrilling as we snaked through the canal brushing shoulders with other sampans fearing that one knock and we would find ourselves in the water but the skill of the ladies manning the sampan was not short of extra-ordinary. Back on our boat we proceeded to the next island to grab some lunch.
Lunch was simple sea food with veggies which was absolutely delicious and was washed down with multiple beers. After a satisfying lunch we plonked ourselves on the many hammocks to catch a quick catnap followed by some cycling to explore the beautiful calm island. It was soon time to leave this idyllic paradise and head back to My Tho.
Once at My Tho after a cool and refreshing drink of tender coconut water we proceeded to the Vinh Trang Pagoda which has statues of the Buddha in different poses as well as the statue of the female Buddha. The interior of the pagoda was beautiful with exquisite wood carvings and beautiful architecture.
We soon had to make the journey back to Saigon after a wonderful trip to the Mekong Delta
Thank you, Kong, for a wonderful trip full of fond memories and beautiful pictures of your beautiful country. It was a great trip overall and highly recommended to fellow travellers.

Hi, your tour looks fantastic. We would love to see the Mekong and all of the intriguing things that go along with that. However, we want to avoid seeing any animal cruelty-once you see it, you cannot "un-see" it. Would it be possible to take this tour and not see animal cruelty? Thanks, P.

Hello. Is it possible to leave the suitcase on the bus? I am travelling with 3 other people. We want to do the tour but after it we won't be going back to Ho Chi Minh. So our plan would be to take our suitcases with us (and leave them on the bus). The bus has enough space for 4 suitcases? Thank you very much.
Hi cam you meet us at our hotel so we van talk about tour and we are looking at doing more tours
