About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- HeleneTHP1110 contributionsA lovely experience but overpriced. We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the river. We found it relaxing and interesting. The boat was lovely and the staff were very attentive. However, the trip is advertised as 2 days. This is misleading, as you will actually be on the boat for less than 24 hours (10 am departure and off the boat by 8.30 next day). For this reason, the trip seems overpriced, although I’m pretty sure not much of the money finds its way back to the 4 staff members who attended us.Written January 6, 2025
- Carib-dbm0 contributionsAmazing, relaxing trip through the Mekong DeltaI can not recommend thus trip enough. We had been two weeks in Vietnam and Cambodia and I really wanted to experience the real Mekong Delta. Instead of going to a tourist beach this was the perfect wind down to our trip. The guide and the crew were top notch. We loved the lazy meander through the tributaries while experiencing how the locals life their lives on the water.Written November 28, 2024
- 80greaves0 contributionsAmazing way to experience Mekong DeltaWe have had an amazing trip on Geeko eyes , a private charter for 2. Lots of exploring and a team that are professional and well organised. We were so well looked after and the accommodation, views, food and activities was a once in a lifetime experience. Our guide (Kin) was so at tentative and adapted the trip to suit our preference.Written November 21, 2024
- guidinho819270 contributionsMekong feelgoodWonderful experience on the Mekong River. Super attentive crew, luxury accomodation and very tasty food made this trip unforgettable. Especially our guide Ty was taking care of us in way that we felt so special. He led us to the local and the floating market and made contact to the traders and vendors. So we even had a drink on a floating café.Written May 22, 2024
- 527fils0 contributionsMixed bag - lovely boat, disappointing tripsIt was hard to rate this because there were some big positives but also several things that let the trip down. The boat itself was beautiful, the room was nice, and it was fun floating down the river. Our guide was also really nice and entertaining. Food was decent - not great but not too bad. I would say however that the lunch on the last day was atrocious. It was a stop off on the drive back to HCMC and is at a place called Mekong Rest Stop. We didn't eat the cold, flavourless, textureless set lunch which was presented to us. It's really such a shame because there are other much better road side stops and it felt so cheap and inauthentic to stop here. The place itself is very grand from all of the tour company commission flowing in. It's just a shame they didn't spend any of that on the food. There was a great drinks selection on board the boat including several tasty craft beers. The trips unfortunately were a let down. First trip to the village is a 5 minute walk down a path and a stop at someone's home which is used by several tour agencies as a place to sit for half an hour with tea and pineapple. The second trip was to the floating market which was fine. Just be warned that you leave for the market at 8:30am by which point the market isn't really operating properly anymore. You'll have some people attach their boat to yours and offer you coffee which was cool. Then you'll pull up at a boat selling pineapple to tourists and you'll get some pineapple paid by the company (some of which gets slyly handed back to your boat driver). So long as you are more interested in the boat itself rather than the trips you'll have a good time.Written April 11, 2024
- gilm9790 contributionsGorgeous Cruise of the MekongOur epic adventure along the Mekong River Delta in Vietnam was majestic! Witnessing the stunning Vietnamese countryside from the water was like stepping into a painting. We toured a small factory specializing in rice wine, candy and other rice related products and saw a factory where they make all those beautiful planters that we always want to buy stateside lol. Tung was a great tour guide and the crew was very attentive to everything. The food we ate on the boat was absolutely delicious. The boat is very comfortable, private and was air conditioned with running water and electricity. I highly recommend this!Written July 8, 2023
- TotokaK0 contributionsIncredible way to see Mekong DeltaOur guide, captain & chef all made us feel very at home & cared for. Stunning scenery, educational - just so much to look at and absorb. As vegans, staff ensured we were well fed and the meals were all 5 star. Nothing was too much trouble. We highly recommend this tour!Written December 31, 2022
- Graeme D0 contributionsOutstandingBest 3 days of a 3 week tour of Vietnam. The team on the boat were amazing especially daisy and Harry, funny friendly we all joked and laughed for the whole trip including me and my travel buddies dressing up in banana pattern shorts shirt and hats for the day. The locals laughed and waved and so did we 😁 The off boat tours were great and the food on board was just awesome, we got them to get the beer nice and cold so three happy kiwis. Daisy and Harry thank you for a trip never to be forgotten.Written February 28, 2020

- kiwimichelle0 contributionsCruising the MeekongWe weren't too sure what to expect with this cruise. Dirty river water and boredom or something else?/ Well we definately got something else! The boat is super cute refurbed 10 yrs ago. Cabin was as described...cosy! This did mean smallish but for one night it was 100% fine. You aren't really in it until bedtime. Food was delicious, excursions were interesting and just seeing the life on the river whilst sipping a cocktail on the lounger was great. Lee and Jasmine were the best hosts. Lee's knowledge of the goings on and local knowledge was superb. Highly recommend this cruise with Meekong Eyes cruises.Written October 25, 2019
- dhaliwal0 contributionsMekong river cruise 18 November 2018It was a long one and half hour by road from our hotel the Saigon Prince hotel to the river jetty. From there it was a private tour for just my wife and me. The Mekong is a huge wide river but I was told by the guide it's not deep enough for big ships and that's why I only noticed shallow draft vessels. It's really wide from bank to bank near the delta almost like a sea. We stopped over at a couple of islands and noticed the local cottage industries and the islanders were very industrious.Noticed a couple of pythons in cages and they probably swam over from the mainland or could be local as the islands are fairly large.I wonder what their fate would be. After the tour we made our way back by boat to the jetty in the city and another long ride back to the hotel and a welcome beer. Was a nice tour but wouldn't do it again.Written December 12, 2018

- John K0 contributionsGreat experienceAwesome. Be prepared for the hot weather...can always buy a traditional hat for 1 usd. Opt for the 200k+ vnd option, it's worth the money. Great tour around the islands. Try to bring extra small cash for souvenirs and tips.Written September 27, 2017
- Teaguemoore0 contributions“Awesome experience... Watch the world glide by”This overnight cruise was WONDERFUL. The staff were awesome and the food amazing. We felt so well cared for, when the rains started we lay in down stairs lounge which made you feel like you were floating just above the water. A great experience watching the world glide past on the busy Mekong River. I think considering the trip expense they can afford better soaps and things than hand printed laser labels that's disintegrate after a few uses. Also we had no idea we would spend 3 hours in bus getting there and 5 hours back, lunch and regular breaks were factored in but would of been good to know before hand. Bathrooms could feel a little cleaner around showers.Written July 31, 2016

We joined the Dragon Eyes from Phnom Penh, it involved 3 hours by private transfer then we joined the ship. All in all a very smooth experience. Once on board we were warmly greeted by Hey and Song who were our host and waitress. They were great. Food was lovely and the highlight was a walk around a local village where we sat down for some jasmine tea and fruit at a locals garden which was stunning. All in all a great experience and insight into the lifeblood of the area, the Mekong.

Fantastic cruise!!!!!!!! Beautiful boat, wonderful crew, very private. Night-time on the boat was particularly magical, but even cruising during the days was such a thrill. My favorite spot was on the very front---aka Titanic! Such a relaxing and exciting adventure---WORTH THE DRIVE FROM SAIGON and well worth the price. DO IT!!!!!
