About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- Happiness518105020720 contributionsThe worst experience in my lifeAbsolute disappointment!! The guide Sofia only knew random facts and she was not knowledgeable at all. When someone contradicted her, she was arrogant and behaved rudely. Many people in my group were disgusted with her, and some didn't even want to finish the tour. The van driver was very unpleasant and didn't know how to drive properly. We even saw him littering: he threw dirty socks he had just taken off onto the street. I never write reviews, but this time it was an experience I wouldn't wish on anyone. Besides, the tour began 2 hours later and finished 2 hours later. We didn't even get an apology but only excuses... Really the worst tour in my life!!Written September 24, 2024
- EamonCork_Ireland0 contributionsTraditional Azerbaijani hospitality and a great overview of the country and its history. We took this trip as a side visit during the 2024 Baku F1 Grand Prix. We wanted to get a feel for the rural culture of Azerbaijan and the trip exceeded our expectations. In great part it was due to the attentiveness and pleas t personality of our guide Leyla. The trip took us through Quba ( Guba) with a short stop in a lovely forested parking area but the highlight was definitely the visit to Khinalug mountain village in the Caucuses, right on the Russian border . We were struck by the remote location and very challenging lives of the people there but the hospitality of the local historian’s family who hosted us for lunch was first class. The trip took just over 12 hrs in part because we had to divert to avoid a washed out bridge but it was all the more exciting as we had to ford a river with 8 pairs of crossed fingers that our van would make it ! . Leyla was very informative and very conscious that on such a long journey people would need lots of breaks and might need special photo opportunity stops as well. Our driver was the other hero of the day - getting us across the river ( not the normal route ) and as we crossed over high peaks on the diversion nurses along an overheating minivan engine . He wasn’t going to give up and completed the full itinerary . Overall it was an excellent experience for all of us ( a lovely sized group of 6 visitor who all got on very well and who’s stories about their lives helped shorten the journey ) . Really recommend this as a way to see the different faces of Azerbaijan and its people.Written September 14, 2024
- Daydream545798509480 contributionsA trip to rememberOne of the best tours of my azerbaijan trip. Visited amazing and beautiful place with picturesque views that I will remember for a long time. The group that came along was also small and amazing. Each of them have amazing experiences. About our guide Leyla: She was the heart of the trip. She managed everything very well and is really fun to talk to. All in all: A nice guide, amazing company, amazing locations and amazing food.Written September 14, 2024
- Sajtoub0 contributionsGood experienceI would surely recommend this tour. Despite the tight schedule and long drive thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The atmosphere and scenery were breathtaking, making the journey worthwhile. Our tour guide, Layla, truly made the day special. She was cheerful, helpful, and incredibly informative, sharing insightful details that enriched our trip. The highlight of the tour was definitely the homemade lunch—delicious and satisfying. Layla's infectious laughter and positive energy added a delightful touch to the entire experience. Overall, it was a memorable tour, and I’m glad we had the chance to enjoy it.Written August 20, 2024
- Kabu0080 contributionsAmazing experience! The trip to Khinaliq village was absolutely amazing, the journey was picturesque and so heavenly. Our guide, Ulya, was super friendly and really helpful. She gave us information about the country, it's capital, the village and local customs. I will definitely recommend coming to Khinaliq if you are visiting Azerbaijan.Written August 12, 2024
- Saadifti860 contributionsShahdag and Quba TourWe booked 1 day Quba and Shaedag Tour. Everything was planned superbly. From the chosen locations to the food and then the time management. Ulya was our tour guide, her deep knowledge of Azerbaijan history helped us to understand more about Azerbaijan. She was a best Tour Guide you could ask for as she took care of us and made sure that we have the best experience.Written July 31, 2024
- Varun_Wahi0 contributionsYou will get few great picturesGood Tour. You get to see good sights in Azerbaijaan. There are regular stops where you can click some good pictures + you don't get bored or tired of the journey. Recommend the tour!Written July 30, 2024
- haotiant20240 contributionsMemorable tour to Xınalıq villageAmazing tour to the remote Xınalıq village! Long ride but a few stops on the way made it quite interesting. View in the mountains is out of the world. Our guide Ulya is kind and caring. She took us to a traditional meal in a village home and explained a lot of artefacts in the house. A memorable trip that I would recommend for anyone interested in going off the beaten track.Written July 26, 2024
- saqiba9980 contributionsWhere old meets newA very well informed young English speaking tour guide, Yousif who is also an ambassador for his country when he travelled to Germany as an exchange student. A must recommend for people who want to learn about the vibrant history and culture of this awesome country while strolling through the quaint and beautiful streets of the inner city.Written July 10, 2024
- sanins20190 contributionsIncredible Guba & Khinalug Tour with Leyla!I recently took the Guba & Khinalug Group Tour and it was fantastic. Leyla, our guide, was amazing with her deep knowledge and engaging stories. The landscapes were breathtaking, especially the remote Khinalug village. Visiting the unique Jewish settlement in the mountains and enjoying traditional Azerbaijani cuisine at a local's house were highlights. The tour was well-organized and offered a perfect mix of nature, history, and culture. Highly recommend! Thank You Rashad for helping us book the tour and Thanks Leyla for this amazing Memory.Written June 30, 2024
- smeetm20240 contributionsGreat experience with experienced tour guideThe trip was managed by Toghrul, an experienced tour guide. Not only was he super knowledgable about the history of the place and the country, he also kept time to ensure that the tour went as scheduled for all 16 people involved in the tour. He was courteous, professional and had a great sense of humor. Overall, it was a very enjoyable trip!Written June 5, 2024
- LiTuJo0 contributionsNice places, guide wasn't so professionalThe guide was very nice and friendly, but he did not talk too much, mainly few sentances in each place. He promised to take us to mud volcanoes, but we didn't go there at all. Instead we spent almost two hours at the fire Temple because one couple was so interested about it.Written May 29, 2024
- Lurun900 contributionsMesmerisingThe place is beautiful. Even though it’s far but the view is so worth it after the long journey. Our guide Leyla. She is so lovely. She helps us alot. Make sure we’re comfortable. Took our pictures. Explaining about all the places we went. She very helpful and friendly. Look forward for the next visit inshaallahWritten May 5, 2024
- MuzioM0 contributionsPoor organization. Nice tourThey move the day from the best sunny day to the day later giving me an excuse saying that was too cold for climbing (there is no climbing in the tour). They give me the pick up time at 11PM of the day before. The guide was a nice guy, but not well prepared and with low english level. We didn't get any explanation for "five finger mountain" and we totally missed "Qechresh forest". The experience was pleasant thanks to the nice travelmates.Written April 11, 2024

To start with the good points:
- Beautiful tour where you’ll see a lot of different points in Azerbaijan nature with some beautiful photo spots
- Price of 100 manat per person is okay given the long drive and points covered
Negative points:
- Lunch: the lunch was located at a beautiful place in the forest but the food quality was very poor and consisted of a soup, a plate of plain rice and 3 small pieces of meat. As dessert a coup of tea was served.
Th second very negative point was the tour guide Michelle who had a really bad temper and explained only the bare minimum.
If asked any additional questions, she replied in a very offended way, plus she always pressured the group “Hurry up, Why are you taking so long etc.”. I understand that there are many points to visit but still it is possible to communicate in a more friendly way. On the drive back to Baku she shouted loudly in Russian language with the bus driver for some reason.

Highly recommend this tour operator. Punctual, Professional and very accommodating. Timur has been great in explaining all the tour packages and is available almost all time. Azizah, the tour guide has been very friendly and has explained all the nuances of the tour all through. Thoroughly enjoyed the Gabala tour and would definitely recommend everyone to consider this operator.
Azizah has also gone beyond expectations in explaining the best places of visit within Baku and the dishes to try. We are vegetarians but had no problems for they have taken special care ensuring that we get what we need.

Gabala and Shamakhi and had so much fun throughout the tour. Leyla is the best tour guide ever! She is extremely friendly, informative and her energy keeps everyone excited. We saw so many beautiful spots and got to do everything in time. It was a memorable and amazing experience for us. We, as a couple, highly recommend AZP travel company and requesting for Leyla as the tour guide. The places are beautiful and you don't want to miss this one!💛

Toghrul communicated really well and I was picked up on time. He kept us advised of what we were doing next and throughout the day.
He and Ulya were really friendly and knowledgeable all day and the driver was good too, it was a nice friendly group.
I have to say that this was a very long day - I got back to my hotel at around 10.45. The places we saw were close to each other but the end point was just u see 4 hours drive from Baku so you need to bare that in mind. This is no reflection on Ulya and Toghrul obviously!
I did a trip the following day with a different company and it was very different - we were just on and off the bus, no communication and very little conversation. So if you can pick to use this company then you should.
Highly recommended 👍🏽

I must say the tour was very professional and organized, they came to pick us from our hotels.
We had a glance at the history of Azerbaijan at the Jumaa Mosque, and a lot of beautiful scenery from lakes and mountains.
Can’t forget to mention our amazing tour guide Toghrul, an energetic young man with a good sense of humor :)
Would recommend this trip to everyone!

We had coordinated with Mr. Teymur from AZP Travel. He and his partner explained us about trip while we visited their office in Old City, Baku. We booked a one-day trip to Shamakhi and Gabala. It was very well organized. Our tour guide, Murad was really good and quite knowledgeable about the places we visited. There were no hiccups and everything was excuted as stated. Murad made sure everyone of us was comfortable throughout the trip.
One thing I would say that the food could be improved. Everything else was great!
The trip overall was quite refreshing. Definitely recommended!
