Afternoon Bosphorus Tour including Cruise, Golden Horn Coach Tour and Cable Car Ride
From US$40.25
Istanbul is a large city with layers of history, and it can be hard to see many landmarks in one day. This tour makes it easy: View seaside palaces from the water on a cruise, explore the city’s landmarks via coach, and take a cable car up to Pierre Loti Hill for Old City views. Hear commentary from your guide about each sight and enjoy convenient hotel pickup and drop-off.
What to Expect
After pickup from hotel in an air-conditioned coach, travel to the port for your 1.5-hour Bosphorus sightseeing cruise. Take photos of landmarks from the water as you sail under the Bosphorus Bridge, and view opulent Ottoman mansions and palaces. Spot Rumeli Fortress, waterside cafes, Beylerbeyi Palace, and the gardens of Yildiz Palace.
Then, disembark and travel by coach around the Golden Horn inlet. Pass through the old Jewish quarter in Balat and see synagogues and townhouses, and then view the cast-iron Church of St Stephen of the Bulgars, the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate, the Jewish Hospital, and the remains of the Byzantine city walls.
Continue to Pierre Loti Hill and ride the cable car up the hillside, where you’ll pause at the top to enjoy a drink (own expense) and admire the views of the Golden Horn below.
The tour concludes at your pickup point.

Poor planning bad value

TLDR. Unnecessary 2 hour rides to get to the port that is only 2 blocks away from the hotel followed by a total of 40 min on the Bosphorus with limited explanation that is marketed as a 4.5 hour guided cruise. Booked the tour online...More

The "tour" is SILENT, no discussion, don't tell you anything. Then waited for ONE HOUR IN THE SUN on a boat that DIDNT MOVE. NO APOLOGIES. SAVE YOUR MONEY.

Istanbul Bosphorous tour

When you are in Istanbul Bosphorus is a must see attraction, it is the continental divide between Europe and Asia. The narrow sea channel that divided European and Asian side of Istanbul is geological marvel. It was a bit chilly March day but the views...More

Not worth the Money

we paid 35 euros only to be told the cable car was not working! pretty much spent most of the time in the minibus - probably spent 1.5 hours on the boat. There was no Golden Horn Coach Tour - very disappointing indeed! You are...More

I was picked up at my hotel and we collected a few other people from various hotels and then made the way to the Bosphorus, where we got onto the boat. The cruise lasted 2 hours, although it was a bit cold. The guide was...More
