Bethlehem and Jericho Day Trip from Jerusalem

    What to Expect
This full-day Jericho-and-Bethlehem tour begins with a Jerusalem hotel pickup in an air-conditioned coach.

On the main highway between Jerusalem and Jericho, in the Judean Desert, pass the Inn of the Good Samaritan, mentioned in the New Testament's parable of the Good Samaritan and the famous roadside sea level marker. From here, enjoy a view of the Jordan Valley where Jesus was baptized.

In Jericho, the oldest city in the world, look for the sycamore tree that Zacchaeus, the tax collector, climbed to get a better view of Jesus when he was there on his way to Jerusalem. Above Jericho is the Mount of Temptation, where Jesus, after praying and fasting for 40 days and 40 nights, was tempted by the devil.

At this halfway point of the tour, stop for lunch (own expense) in a restaurant in Jericho before making the trip to Bethlehem.

In Bethlehem, explore the Church of the Nativity and the Grotto, a holy place with the cave in which the birth of Jesus of Nazareth is said to have occurred. Manger Square is where the majority of religious activity in Bethlehem takes place, with the Church of the Nativity and the Mosque of Omar, the oldest and only mosque in the old city of Bethlehem and a site of great meaning for those Muslims who live in the city.

See where Jesus was placed in a manger after his birth. Tradition has it that while Mary was nursing Jesus here, a drop of milk fell to the ground, turning it white.

Stop by the local Greek and Catholic churches before going to Shepherds' Field, where Luke 2:8 declares: 'Shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night.' It is believed an angel announced the birth of Jesus here.

The tour concludes with a return trip to the Jerusalem hotels.

We only wanted to spend a half day visiting Bethlehem from Jerusalem. What I didn't realize is that with this tour you spend more time just getting there than one would realize. They were slow in picking us up from our designated hotel and then they took us to one central spot

Dear Marilyn Thaks for sharing in detail the pickup process of this Jerusalem based tour INdeed there is a procedure to get to the tour embarkation. Jerusalem ,especaily it takes almost up to an hour, admittedly. We have yet to find a quicker way round ,traffic, distant hotels, and travelers spread across the city, all in one place in order to get to get going,.as well as the drive back across the city for the entry into Bethlehem itself. We are glad though to read you enjoyed the tour with the local guide. Hope to see you travel again with us some time.

Dear Chrsitina Thanks so much for the rave reviews of both tours you took with Bein Harim Tourism. Pity you didnot name the guide's so they get recognition for the great job they did. Weare really pleased you came away feeling you had a worthwhile time , getting informative commentary of the locations you visited.\ Indeed it is still lwarm season wise here and sun protection is certainly required. Thaks very much for this sincere recommendation. Hope you will come back soon to travel with us again.

We are not satisfied of the Bethlehem and Jericho tour because the programme of the tour wasn’t respected at all. In Bethlehem we spent only few time at the Church of the Navity and we didn’t see the Grotto of Nativity. We didn’t stop at the Chapel of the Milk Grotto. When we

Dear Сlaesimo, We are regretful that this was the experience you had with our company and guide. We got a full report from him, and it is evident from the start of the tour, there was some unpleasant feeling on your behalf, and therefore no pleasant cooperation throughout the day. He even waited on some occurrence, for you, so that he could continue his commentary for others to hear. Hezi is adamant that you visited the locations the itinerary lists, also, as no other complaints on this were received... Indeed, we do not visit the Mt Temptations (line 8, page 16 tour description) - only an overview, clearly written. So its clear you had not read the itinerary carefully and was unaware that we DO NOT visit this location. Being accurate when you raise accusations on this platform, is the least of decency, even when expressing a harmful personal opinion. 94% excellent rating for outstanding guides, professionalism and reliability do not deter others from travel with Bein Harim. Sincerely, Bein Harim Tourism Services team

We have Danny as a tour guide and he is giving tours in Spanish and English which means it takes double the time for any explanation. We specifically booked for an English tour. Worst of all is that he even let another tour group cut the line in the church of nativity. The

We are sorry this was the nature of the tour experience guided by Danny. Yes, some of our tours are sometimes indeed bilingual. You definitely dont get, half less commentary!! We will ask him to file a report regarding the waiting in line incident you mention at the Church.
