Overview
Rounding up Jerusalem’s must-sees in a day of independent sightseeing is challenging, especially with numerous sites located outside the walled Old City. This tour from Tel Aviv incorporates the must-sees into one day, eliminating the need to arrange travel between them and providing important guided insight. Call at Mount Zion and the Mount of Olives before an Old City walking tour and visit Yad Vashem before returning to Tel Aviv.
What to Expect
After leaving Tel Aviv by air-conditioned vehicle, admire Old Jerusalem from the Mount of Olives and explore Mt. Zion, believed to be the location of Jesus’ Last Supper.
See Dormition Abbey, reputedly where the Virgin Mary died, and visit what’s thought to be the Tomb of King David, the Old Testament warrior king. Enter Old Jerusalem, wander through the Armenian and Jewish quarters, and pass the Byzantine Cardo and old Roman road to the Western Wall (Wailing Wall).
Follow part of the Christian Quarter’s Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, believed to be the site of Jesus’ crucifixion. Continue to Yad Vashem, Israel’s memorial to the Holocaust, in New Jerusalem. Alternatively, on Saturdays and Jewish holidays, go to Ein Karem, traditionally held to be John the Baptist’s birthplace, to see Mary’s spring and visit the Church of John the Baptist.
Your tour ends with a hotel drop-off.

Full day guided tour to Jerusalem from Tel-Aviv

Tour guide Hilik Lavi had great knowledge and enthusiasm for the local history of Jerusalem. He made the history live by his command of all the religious sites. I would definitely recommend him to my friends and family as a tour guide. Thanks again.

Jerusalem and Bethlehem from Tel Aviv

The guides and bus drivers were good, but the organisation of the day was shocking! It was more about getting us to spend money in a shop outside Bethlehem than letting us explore! We were picked up late from Tel Aviv, driven about 20 minutes...More

A lot of sights in one day, but not a lot of time to see them

Overall, the tour was well organized and the guide, Jerry, was very knowledgeable. I had booked the small size group, so we were only 11 people. However, within this small group, we had 2 languages (even though I booked the English tour), so all info...More

Great tour, loved it

Really loved this tour, seeing Jeruzalem and experience the atmosphere. The tour guide was awesome and explained it very good. Without the guide the tour would be less interesting.

Worst tour I have ever taken

This tour was just all around bad. It was so bad that about half way through, I cancelled a tour to Masada and the Dead Sea that I had booked for later in the week. I just could not endure another tour with this group....More

I took this tour, and we had 10-11 people in our group. I don't think there are any other advantages (guiding was still done in multiple languages, and schedule was not very flexible).
