What to expect
Start the full day time travel at Ha'as Promenade with an intro to Jerusalem at the southern observation point with the wide angle view of the new and old, where you will cover 3,500 years in 15 minutes. Continue to the Mount of Olives where both Jews and Christians believe is the way of the redeemer to the Holy city. According to the gospels, a number of important events in the life of Jesus took place here, including where he ascended into heaven. Walk down to the Churches of Dominus Flavit and the Gethsemane- to talk about and attempt to feel the history that traditionally occurred to Jesus of Nazareth on that holy piece of land. Continue to Mount Zion to visit the Room of Last Supper, the Church of the Dormition, and King David’s Tomb. Walk into the Old city through the Lion's gate and on to the Via Dolorosa- the road of Agony leading to the most important church in Jerusalem and maybe the world – the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Continue to the Jewish Qarter towards the holiest of Jewish sites, the famous Western Wall. Head up to the roofs for a special Rooftop Ramparts tour- a unique tour the 4 quarters of the Old City using rooftops. Continue through the Cardo, the main thoroughfare of Byzantine Jerusalem making a stop at the 4 famous Sephardic synagogues all the way to the Western Wall. Stroll along the Arab market enjoy of local food, music and different smells on our way towards the modern Machaneh Yehuda Market to taste a bit of the unique and rich multicultural atmosphere. End the day on Mount Scopus with a beautiful closing scene overview of Jerusalem. Head aboard your private ride and relax on your return journey back to the pick-up location. Your tour ends at your hotel in Jerusalem.

How to take advantage of a business trip to Israel!
Sep. 2019 • Friends
A group of coworkers/friends with different interests decided to spend the day touring around some key sites in Jerusalem. Shahar made the process super easy by providing 3 options and providing context and suggestions based on our various requests. When we tried to add another activity, he was gentle in suggestion that it may be too much to do in one day but was accommodating to make it happen. After we arrived and heard from coworkers that it would be too much; he pivoted quickly. I loved his quick follow up, verifying pick up time and location the night before.

His English is as amazing as a native speaker, his humor is appropriate and we felt completely safe at all time and for any question. I will be asking him for another private tour for my half Christian /half Jewish family. Thank you Shahar for making my. Pilgrimage such a fun and memorable one.

Fun, flexible, and educational!
Sep. 2019 • Friends
Our experience was phenomenal! The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and provided tons of historical context that truly enriched the experience. We also got local insights on the current climate between the different cultural groups in the region. The company is very professional and the tour was totally safe throughout. They were very flexible and adjusted our schedule to satisfy our requests to see some particular sights, eat specific foods, and shop for souvenirs. I would definitely recommend signing up for a private tour from a local guide because they have tips and tricks visitors simply couldn’t figure out on their own. In particular, Shahar made it incredibly fun with his knowledge, flexibility, and sense of humor!

A highlight of this Israel visit!
Apr. 2018
The tour guide, Haya Ko, & her husband (who was our driver because one engaged called in "sick" morning of tour), tour me on our pre-arranged tour from my Tel Aviv/Yafo hotel, to Jerusalem for the day. We visited the Marc Chagall Windows @ the Hadassah Hospital/Medical Center Synagogue. This site is not on regular Jerusalem tours because of out of the way location, hence my pursuit of a private tour. What a glorious experience to finally see these windows & learn more @ them from a knowledgeable Docent on site. Next we visited the Church of St. John the Baptist, lovely & clean, & a Franciscan priest stationed there, showed us @ w/some explanations we would not have known otherwise. We had lunch @ a Kibbutz that has a wonderful buffet & very nice sitting area. We visited the Herzl Mt. & National Cemetery & saw gravesites of many of the modern PM & leaders of Israel & then went to the new Memorial Bldg to all those who have died in the service of the Nation (just opened in Nov. 17), a most beautiful, respectufl tribute to all the Nation's battle dead. We visited the King David Citadel Museum, newly re-done w/dioramas, artifacts, & multi-media displays of the whole history of Jerusalem since pre-Israelite times. Fascinating & a good tour stop for visitors, incl families of all ages. The thunderstorm began then, w/lightening & hail, so not advisable to go to the outside top of the Citadel to view surrounding scenes! But we did traverse the plaza to Cardo & visit the wonderful Shorashim Study Center/Shop that I had wanted to visit since my 1st x in Israel in 2014. One of the owners, a Biblical Scholar/Clinical Psychologist was giving a short talk to a group of visitors @ the history of G-d's leadership in Israel. His profound talk emphasizes one of my important observations of Israel: that sense of destiny, past, present, & future. I also enjoy shopping there & recommend a visit, in person or on-line. Haya & Yarom (her husband) are both such knowledgeable, caring, & excellent professionals in the Israel Tour business, & natives of Israel, They could fill in so much important ancient & very modern history, pointing out locations that might be missed on other tours. I was so blessed to meet them & have their guidance on this private day tour..

Shachar is incredible!
Feb. 2018 • Family
Our family spent a week with Shachar! He brought the stories of Israel to life for us and was amazing at including everyone! Our daughters had the best time acting out the stories of Herrod, Andromeda and more! We'd recommend Shachar to all!

Amazing city and tour!
Jan. 2018 • Friends
I loved visiting Jerusalem! Our guide, Shachar, brought the history of the city to life; he was incredibly knowledgeable about the political culture and different religious backgrounds that make up the city. He made the experience extremely simple by picking us up at our hotel, arranging lunch, and catering to specific requests of our group. Highly recommended!

Full Day In Jerusalem
Jan. 2018 • Friends
Shachar is an outstanding guide and breath of fresh air after having poor tour experiences with other more commercialized tour companies. His personal touch and deep historical & theological knowledge not only educated us as to what we were looking at, but unveiled the vast cultural, political, and social background that construct what is today’s Jerusalem from a totally unbiased perspective.
