About the operator

- 811martenp0 contributionsMasada Dead sea relaxI really enjoyed the trip! The guide Eyal was very provident and professional! I Learned a lot about the places we passed by. We went through the sites without any hurry. The things were explained in an very eupeptic manner. Although we passed through the Westbank in summer 2024, there was no impression of any danger on the way. Local people we found where very kind at all places. The stay at the beach was about 1.5h, enough to enjoy this extraordinary place. Thanks for a very nice trip!Written June 26, 2024
- esimisrael0 contributionsUnforgettable Masada and Dead Sea Adventure! This "Masada and the Dead Sea Day Trip from Tel Aviv" was incredible! The convenience of hotel pickup and drop-off, combined with comfortable air-conditioned travel, made the journey stress-free. Our guide's detailed explanations at Masada were enlightening, enhancing our appreciation of this historic site. Floating in the Dead Sea was a surreal experience, with optional therapeutic treatments available. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Israel!Written June 26, 2024

- F6783QFjimt0 contributionsTrip of a lifetime!Avi was our driver and tour guide. Easy efficient pick up and drop off. This was a 'return' trip for me after 53 years. Avi made the trip live up to all my expectations and more. We covered the Sea Level pit stop on the way down to the rift valley from Jerusalem. The cable car ascent of Masada and Avi gave us just the right depth of insight without any stress or rush. Then our time at Kalil Beach for our float in the Dead Sea and our self-pasting with Dead Sea mud was the best! A once in a lifetime experience not to be missed. It was a humbling honour to be blazing the trail for the return of tourism to Israel after the devastation wrought on 7 October 2023.Written May 31, 2024

- katlinw20240 contributionsGreat tour and amazing tour guideThis trip was the highlight of my time in Israel. Itamer was an amazing tour guide- his knowledge of history, Israel, and the Bible all fused to make this trip really memorable. All the sites we visited were amazing, there was ample time at each one but it didn’t feel like we were there for too long, and Itamer did a great job conducting the tour in multiple languages for different people. He truly cared about each person having a great experience. Visiting Jesus place where he grew up and did most of his ministry was truly incredible and the price for the tour was great. If you go, download what’s app because they will communicate with you that way for the pick up and drop off.Written May 21, 2024

- blancahavila0 contributionsHorrible experience with ViatorHorrible tour to Valle de Guadalupe We bought a tour to Valle de Guadalupe, from a supposed “Tour company.” They sent us 4 people plus the driver in a 4 persons sedan car, my daughter had to go in the middle for 6 hours. The driver was talking on the phone back and forth, when I told him that I thought it was dangerous for us to do it, he said that he had a lot of experience driving 8 wheelers, so he didn't stop. I don't think it's allowed to take tourists this way. So unprofessional, didn't know anything about the area, he just transported us to the destination in the most uncomfortable and dangerous way. At the last point, the vineyard where they gave us a cheese board, he sat at our table and loudly talked on her cell phone, taking away the only pleasant experience of the entire day. What he did share with us, was all the dangerous places in the area. Although the driver tried, this company is not a professional tour company. We brought a bigger and safer truck, if we had known how bad it would be, we would have left on our own.Written January 1, 2024
- _saroshv0 contributionsBad experience! This tour was badly organized .First we waited outside the hotel for an hour before we were picked up .No one knew where to go .We thought we were finally starting the trip .But we were taken to this hilly top where we waited another hour in a dingy cafe . The tour was rushed as it was getting late .For lunch everyone is taken to this awful resturant with chaos ,substandard food and fighting crowds . Before going into the resturant you have to go thru a shop and they push coupons to you to buy super expensive products . Guide did not have much knowledge or rather one sided knowledge .We were rushed thru Masada which was the main attraction .I asked him a couple of questions breaking his monologue. He did not like it and was very rude . Do not take this tour .If you do bring your own food . It was a waste of money .Written December 23, 2023
- 619jeffry0 contributionsNatural beauty and historical sites in the HeightsThe Golan Heights is an area of outstanding natural beauty and intriguing historical sites It was captured from Syria during the Six Day War in 1967 and is now part of Israel. The Golan Heights is of great strategic importance, it has a commanding view of the northern Galilee. Apart from its military value, the Golan is a fertile agricultural region. The trip from Jerusalem to the Golan takes around two hours by car.Written November 3, 2023
- 619jeffry0 contributionsHoly sites appeal deeply to believersThe Western Wall, often called the Wailing Wall, is sacred to Jews; other denominations are also welcome. It is adjacent to the wall of the Second Temple, which is all that remains of the Temple. The 4th Century Church of the Sepulcher is the site where Christians traditionally gather to commemorate the site of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. The Holy Sepulcher is also an important destination on the Via Dolorosa, Christ's Way of Suffering. These sites appeal deeply to believers.Written November 2, 2023
- sheri09150 contributionsThis is a wonderful tour and I pray that Israel be able to offer this again in the near future.Note: We went on this tour on 10/5, 36 hours before the Hamas attack. We really enjoyed the drive from Jerusalem and the stops that we made. Masada was a very interesting sight to behold. My only suggestion is to cut the time spent in Masada by about 30 minutes so you can spend that extra time at the Dead Sea. We got less than 30 minutes there, which was not enough. We floated in the sea for about five minutes and then had to get out and shower off to leave.Written October 26, 2023

The tour ticked off a lot of things i wanted to see, and learn about.
However, here are some things which anyone considering should think about.
1. The pick up process (from 640am) was to collect people/guests from various locations for DIFFERENT tours (not this one). There was a 40min delay due to 1 guest not at designated pickup location on time
2. We were driven somewhere outside the city to be transferred to respective mini-vans, not bus.
3. Then went to pick up more people at the University in Jerusalem
4. The tour only started after 9am
5. In the old City, after a wonderful experience in Church of the Holy Sepulchre, we were ushered into a gift shop with expensive jewellery (so, exit quickly and politely)
6. For lunch, around 1 something, we were brought to a place to choose CHICKEN (50sh) or FALAFEL (40sh) pita. All 18 of us were made to sit on 1 long table against the wall, despite the place being empty.
The staff were busy talking loudly and overall the atmosphere was quite unpleasant.
7. The guide (Moshe Müller) was very knowledgeable but it felt like we were in a classroom being lectured and having to watch out for pop quiz questions thrown at us.

Dear Gptravels72,
Thanks for sharing this experience. Van changes are sometimes required, indeed for reasons of not letting everyone travel around the city to fetch others.
We have yet to crack this!!! how one can bring over 120 people from different destinations city-wide going on different tours to their own designated buses. quickly and smoothly. We succeed almost every day!
We will certainly take up with the restaurant proprietor what you mention regarding noisiness and seating arrangements.
Moshe is a highly experienced tour guide. Sorry that you thought his manner was teacher-like.
Sincerely,
Bein Harim team

The guide where not enthusiastic noir generous with information. He seemed annoyed with the group and it felt like he shared the minimum knowledge needed. He answered questions with as few words possible. Also, as he was not a certified guide at the museum he was not allowed to enter and guide us so I don’t think you could call it a full day tour.
For 100 euros I expected much more..

We were initially booked into the underground city of Jerusalem and City of David tour but unfortunately it was cancelled. Bein Harim let us know and booked us into the Old and New Jerusalem tour instead and it is likely that it was for the best. It was our first time in Jerusalem so exploring the old City and seeing the wailing wall, church of holy sepulchre etc was a really good introduction to it. We had previously been staying in Tel Aviv and brought our suitcases with us, which made for a seamless and efficient means of transfer to Jerusalem for a couple days. Eloy was our guide and he maintained just the right balance between telling us what we needed to know about the various sites we visited and letting us experience it ourselves.

Bein Harim is most appreciative that you have shared for others to read, that you had a great travel experience with us (including getting the transfer to Jerusalem with your luggage and being dropped off at your next hotel there.) There are some logistic constraints, since Covid, so we are grateful that you took the change of itinerary smoothly and had a great touring day with us, both hearing interesting commentary and being able to experience it for yourselves. Hope to see you again sometime soon.

Itamar was a really good and knowledgeable guide who provided us with more than just basic history facts about Jerusalem, one of the most ancient places on earth...
The trip was well organized from beginning to end with enough breaks for toilet and beverages.
But please do NOT send the guests to overpriced restaurants with mediocre food for the sake of some commission.
Even in the old city, some central meeting point should be fixed and the guests could choose their restaurants in the near vicinity freely

Thanks for sharing that you had an excellent tour with Itamar. He deserves your feedback for his efforts and skill.
Regarding the restaurant we need to stop where they cater to groups. We cannot let travelers go off on their own. Getting lost is an issue, and delays the tour schedule.

From the second Avi picked us up to the second he dropped us off, the day could not have been better.
His knowledge was astounding, he was constantly pointing out sights, ensuring our multi-lingual group understood and always ensured we got the best views/sights of Jerusalem.
He reverence for each site was refreshing and the unique knowledge made the tour. No detail was too small, his patience to explain and storytell was impeccable.
Our introduction to the Yad Vashem, Holocaust Museum was expertly done, especially at such an emotive and important site, and his helpful knowledge on the best way to explore the site and exhibitions ensured we were then able to explore the museum in the best way to take in as much as we did.
Great day, great tour, best guide, couldn't recommend enough.

Our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. He was very willing to answer questions and was very engaging. The only thing I took issue with was how much time we spent in the gift shop compared to the time we were able to spend in the Church of the Holy Sepulcher. It felt like we spent 30 minutes in the gift shop prior, then went into the church and were only given 20 minutes to explore. It's impossible to look at everything in that amount of time in such a complex building with so many holy sites to wait in line for. It's the most important church in Christianity and should be a mayor focal point of the trip. People dont travel thousands of miles to sit in gift shops. The itinerary has everything blocked out in time, and it says 30 minutes for that church, but it doesnt mention stops at gift shops that are taking time away. I'm not going to mention the guide by name because I really liked him, but I went on 4 Bein Harim tours and every single tour guide is showing preference for the gift shops over the sites. Not saying there should be no gift shops, but cut the time so tourists can see what they came for. Thanks.

It was spectacular. Our guide Itamar Buk ( I will probably never forget the name Itamar) was LOVELY! He was social, very knowledgeable and I must say I enjoyed the whole trip, which was overwhelming seeing Jerusalem and also the Holocaust museum. Itamar took as to all places around, a great balanced tour and I felt really safe, as I didn’t know how it would be traveling alone. So, a great recommendation also if you’re traveling alone. Would advise it to everybody. Hope to come back soon.

Had a wonderful experience today.
Avi was our guide. He was very excellent and knowledgeable. He made sure that we were able to do and see everything there is in Jerusalem. We were able to touch the stone and enter the cave. We were able to go to the wailing wall. The allotted time for the tour felt sufficient for me although we were a big group.
Avi was able to organize the tour well. He gave us reminders just in case we got lost along the way. He gave us landmarks and times where to meet. He was very patient with us all the time.
Even though he wasn’t able to come with us inside the Holocaust Memorial museum, he was right we didn’t need him there he gave us ample time to explore it and most importantly, he gave us tips and advice what to do, how to save time, which places to see. These were very helpful when I was doing my tour.
Avi is definitely one of the best and most experienced tour guides that this company has. I’ve had my tour with him for 3 days and it was worth it. We had problems along the way but he dealt with it well. He is very knowledgeable and emphasizes important information which is essential for big groups. He doesn’t need humor since the knowledge he is sharing is already interesting and gets our attention all the time.

Our guide (Avishai?) brought the group to a tourism approved shop and we were there about an hour. He implied that people asked for this but I never heard this and clearly he and the shop owner were the best of friends. We also stopped where a young boy was squeezing juice from oranges and pomegranates. Avishai stated he has known the boy since he was born. This seems another regular stop for Avishai and another 30 minutes wasted. My wife and I joined the trip in Jerusalem and did not come from Tel Aviv as the rest of the group had. One other couple finished the day being dropped at a hotel in Jerusalem. We both needed to transfer busses at Yad Vashem so Avishai's bus could return directly to Tel Aviv. This is as we expected and organized by Bein Harim which does an amazing job of managing all the logistics. Avishai suggested he was going out of his way to take care of us. In my mind, he was just barely doing his job. He also did a poor job of keeping track of people. Other guides we had did a very good job of indicating how long each stop was to be, where we to meet after the stop, and would count the group before moving on. Avishai knew his history well enough and explained the sites but was the worst of four guides we had with Bein Harim. This was our fourth and last day with Bein Harim and we were very disappointed.

Dear jzischke.
Thank you for your feedback. We were most pleased to learn about your good experiences with our company. We put a lot of effort in planning our tours and choosing the best guides for the job.
We apologize for your dissatisfaction about Avishay’s conduct, but the guide doesn’t decide on the businesses visited. we offer our tourists the option to buy souvenirs if they want to, and we dedicate a small part of the tour to it. We are working with several stores that are verified to have a product warranty policy as well as shipping policy. That’s why our guides are very familiar with stores’ owners and employees. We grant our guides the option to use their judgment and decide whether to linger or shorten the visit to the stores, according to the group's will.
However, we take your review seriously and will get to the bottom of this matter with the guide.

Great tour! Only had one full day and this tour gave me exactly what I needed. I was picked up in Tel Aviv and returned there. We saw all the major sites within Jerusalem. The guide Yoav was excellent — deep knowledge of the city and the history. Very clear he has been doing this a long time — people kept recognizing him and stopping him to say hello. His humor and clear instructions made for an enjoyable day.

HI We donot return from fullday daily tours at before approx 18.00 in Tel Aviv.
Drop off cannot be comitted to a specific hour at that time.Traffic congestion and entry to the city can be compounded and not in our hands.

Can we be picked up at hotel in Netanya and dropped off at hotel in Tel Aviv? With our luggage, 2 roller bags?

You certainly can.You will clearly need to list this when booking. There is place to list the different dropoff spot on tour termination.
.Your luggage stays on your bus all day when you do a full day tour, but not one where you change buses midday.(eg to go to Bethlehem or the Dead Sea)..as you embark on a diffrent bus and dont necessarly return via the bus you go back to Tel Aviv with.

I am staying at the Elma Arts Complex Hotel at 1 Yair Street
Zichron Ya’akov, 3094260. Do you pick up there, or is there a location close to there where I can meet the coach? Thank you.
