An enjoyable day
Had an enjoyable day on this tour with Maia as our guide. Picked up and dropped off at our hotel which was nice. We were fortunate to have a nice group of people on the tour and it made for some good conversations. Enjoyed all 3 locations though the weather was very hot and by the time we went to lunch at around 2.30 we were all very hungry but it was worth the wait as there was loads of it and delicious too. I would book again through Nakhal

Wish there was a proper tour guide
I did a day tour to Harissa, Jeito grotra and Byblos! + Comfortable big bus, delicious food in great restaurant next to the sea with a view, but.. - TOUR GUIDE Romeo was BELLOW any standard.. Respect for speaking 3 languages (Arabic, English, French) to the whole group, but his knowledge and information he passed could fit on half A4 paper, very general and ultimately not interesting since you have to wait for him to say couple of sentences In 3 languages. He did not have proper answers when being asked by the group on sites (Byblos, Harissa), and mostly was talking about how Lebanon great was and is and about nightlife and bars.. On the Jeita grotto site he lost some members of the group, and left the grotto towards the bus without them, that got them very angry.

Interesting tour
We had a great tour. We saw places and attractions that we had not been able to trace of our own. Our guide had very good knowledge of history and the attraction. He was a very nice person and we really enjoyed the tour.

A tour of ancient civilisations and political unrest
Over the years, Lebanon has been invaded by so many civilisations. This is very apparent on this tour. Our tour guide, Lucia, was passionate about archaeology and very knowledgable about her country’s history. She was a delight to listen to and answered questions with complete professionalism. You start at Sidon with a wander around the crusaders’ fortress. Then you go through the Souks to the soap factory before visiting a church linked to St Peter and St Paul. Then it’s to visit the site of the caravanserai. If I’m honest, I would have forgone the soap factory for some free time in the Souks. Onwards from there to Tyre to a couple of archaeological sites. Take a hat as there’s not a lot of shade. The second site gives you the opportunity to wander down to the sea front. Be prepared to see a number of Palestinian refugee camps on this trip. After Tyre, it’s up into the hills for a great lunch of cold mezze and fish with dessert and coffee before visiting Maghdouche, a shrine to the Virgin Mary and a statue to climb. This was the second tour we did with Nakhal and can’t fault them on their organisation; from the pre trip confirmations, to the hotel pick up and their knowledgeable tour guide (and very patient drivers). The tours sound expensive, but when you factor in all the entrance fees, lunch, travel, wages etc, it’s very good value. Highly recommended.

Informative and well organised
Carla, our guide, had a number of different nationalities to deal with and did so with complete professionalism. Jeita grotto is stunning. As others have said, it’s a shame you can’t take photos but when you go, you’ll understand why. The boat trip in the lower grotto is serene and tranquil. There is a cable car up to the upper grotto. Once you’re in, it’s just under 1km of walk each way with lots of steps so not for the faint hearted. Byblos is an interesting archaeological site. We visited under the blazing sun so take a hat. The ‘Souks’ there are really just a bunch of souvenir shops. Lunch was awesome with a selection of cold and hot mezze, grilled meats, dessert and coffee. The coach took us to the top at Harissa. If you want to go into the church, make sure you’re appropriately dressed or they’ll give you a Harry Potter style gown. More steps up to the top of the statue. Depending on your religious inclination, this place will either mean something special or feels a bit kitsch. The ride down in the cable car is amazing.

Jeita Grotto
This is a most awe inspiring place to visit, the caves are large and it is very easy to walk around. Some people may be challenged by the steps but it is so worth while to go into these massive caves

Not a succes
The guide wasn't too knowledgable (I asked a very evident question, he didn't know the answer and - worse - gave a completely wrong answer, beside the point) but especially the tour was badly organised: we got (a very good) lunch only at 15h00, about 8 hours after breakfast, everybody was starving; alogical timing made us visit the absolute highlight, Baalbek, at noon in the burning sun, we were hurried there (only 1h45 for this huge superb site), the wine tour was a joke,... And the toilet in the bus didn't work.

Amazing places but the tour is just "ok"
I was travelling alone in Lebanon so I was suggested to tour with Nakhal to visit Baalbek. The places we visited were amazing, but we were on a very strick schedule so we didn't had enough time to enjoy, especially in Baalbek. We went for a very long lunch, it was tasteful, but I would have rather save some time from the long lunch and had less of a rush visiting the sites. In my opinion I prefer to spend a few more dollars but have a private tour with another tour guide than have another group tour with Nakhal (also a private guide would pick you up instead of having to go to their main office). The guide we had was a very kind woman, she is an archaeologist and spoke fluent Arabic, English, french, good italian.

Paula was an super guide and certainly knew her history.......great day out......myself and my wife are 70 years of age and quite fit.....just as well because the walk in the upper Grotto was fairly steep and was about 2 kilometres long The tour is highly recommended and it was refreshing to get out of manic Beirut😂

Great day. LOTS of walking
Got to Jeita early so avoided the crowds which was great. Loved Jeita but it’s such a shame you can’t take photos but I do understand why. Harissa was disappointing but we are not religious so might be better for others, the cable car from Harissa into Jounieh was.... frightening but worth it. Absolutely loved Byblos walking around now the Crusader fortress and the area is fab, nice restaurants. The lunch in Jounieh (Lebanese mezze) was fantastic. Overall very good, the tour guide and driver were lovely but it was very rushed. If you struggle walking I wouldn’t recommend this trip.

Lebanon tours and travel did an excellent job
My guide Natasha is an archeologist so she had a world of knowledge relating to the historical sights an the excavation process. She is intelligent, personable and passionate about her country and providing an exceptional experience. The driver was Ali tattoo. He was super chill, did a great job and hooked me up with good advice for later in my trip. Excellent tour an worth the premium payment

Great trip! well managed and informative
The sites are a must see, Baalbek specifically is one of the best archaeological sites I've been to, and I've seen a fair share. Lunch was delicious and more than enough food. Our guide did a great job delivering lots of interesting information throughout the entire trip. Wished we could have had at least a little free time at Baalbek. The wine at Ksara was not good, in hindsight I would have paid a bit extra to get a higher quality sampling.

Bad experience
The tour guide "Khalil" was unprofessional and so rude to us. He made sure to make us feel unwelcomed by leaving a racist remark and an unfriendly demeanor.I don't accept such behaviour. Work on your communication skills, lebanese people and try to accept others because you are making your tourism look bad. Never coming to Lebanon again.
