About
Energetic Bogotá has grabbed global headlines as a bike-friendly city, but finding the best routes can be a challenge for first-time visitors. Grab a bike to explore the city with a guide to lead the way, pedaling through La Candelaria, Plaza de Toros, and neighborhoods with colorful street art. Break up the mostly-flat route with stops at a fresh fruit market and a coffee factory.

Highlights
  • Explore Bogota with a guide: The city’s size makes it easy to miss key sites
  • Try fresh fruit in a local produce market
  • Convenient departure point in La Candelaria historic district
What to expect
  • Group bike tours begin at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. every day (private tours can start at any time). This four-hour exploration of central Bogota starts out with a visit to the historical center, including passing by colonial churches and the Botero and Gold museums, as well as a visit to the nation's main square, Plaza Bolivar. From there, we'll ride north to a fruit market and taste from Colombia's huge variety of exotic, tropical fruits, and then walk across the street for a game of tejo, Colombia's national sport. After that, we'll ride up Carrera Septima, past Independence Park, the Bullfighting Stadium, the National Museum and through the La Merced neighborhood, which feels like a bit of London with its English architecture. From there, we enter the National Park to try fruit salads, juices, corn-on-the-cob and grilled meats. Our stomachs filled, we ride west through the quiet and elegant Teusaquillo neighborhood to Calle 26, where we'll admire some of Bogota's largest street murals. After photographing a sculpture by Colombia Fernando Botero, we ride past the Memorial Center, dedicated to documenting human rights violations, and stop in a small coffee roaster. Here, we see how Colombia's world-famous arabica beans are selected and roasted for export. Then we'll enjoy a fresh brew of those delectable beans. Finally, we'll ride back to our starting point in La Candelaria, finishing off with one of the few uphills on this mostly-flat ride. The whole route covers about 12 kms.

Today we had a fantastic 4 hour private graffiti tour with David. Great itinerary - we saw tremendous variety of styles and techniques. David was amazing guide, incredibly knowledgeable & well informed about techniques, the artisis, historical & political background about the art and about Colombia & Bogota in general. He is also a fabulous artist in his own right, we were fortunate to see some of his work ( all the graffit guides are local street artists). . PLUS being on a bike is the BEST way to see bogota neighborhoods that are off the tourist path.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

We wanted to explore the city of bogota via a biketour, and it was even better then expexted. The guides Mike and Manuel were amazing, they explained a lot about the city and its arts. Mike knew everything about the city and has a great sense of humour.
I would recommend this tour to everyone!

We had a great tour with our guide Michael. It is easy to ride a bike around Bogota. We visited some markets, a coffee roasting facility, parks and other landmarks. It was fun.

This was time, money and energy well spent.. Starting from arrival to enrol, and be assigned a bike, spending a penny in an immaculate toilet, and a friendly introduction to the crew…thru’ to the tour content, pace and everything we were shown, it was all top stuff. ( you know it’s good if the loo is clean…)
Mike is a wealth of knowledge, but the thing that made it for me was he has a delivery style that made you listen, to the poignant , the accounts of countless lives that have been lost, yet also had you grinning at times, at the vibrancy and life which is also Bogotá.
We also had tech support, Fabio, who was ready to spanner and served as back marker, and stopped the traffic at some lary junctions.. so we moved as slickly as Bieber himself, frequently against the traffic!
You’ll cover some ground, and it will make you think.

Thanks Zuluma. On a bicycle, you can cover lots more ground than on foot, and have a lot more fun than in a bus or a van.

Awesome! Great way to get a feel for the city. Mike is as knowledgeable about Bogotá as he is easy going. His relaxed but informative approach made it engaging, and much more genuine than what I imagine a bigger company with guides reading from scripts would be like.
Great experience.
Only note is that the albeit short ride through red light district (more or less), did feel pretty sketchy at one point (ended up at the back of the line and got slightly separated from the rest of the group), so having Fabio at the back of the line to enclose the group and direct was a must at that point (as he was).

Thanks for the positive review. Glad that you enjoyed the tour and learned about Colombia. We think that the red light district is a relevant part of the city. And it is hard for us to avoid going through.
