          Cultural Heritage tour
Markhaz was a great driver for our tours. The first day we were a bit unlucky as the road to Khazbegi was closed due to an accident. The second day we took the cultural heritage tour and totally loved it. great food as well, highly recommended!

Trip of a lifetime, I cannot recommend them enough!
I did 3 private tours with Kartveli the week of 7-12 November 2023, the Kazbegi tour, Vardzia tour, and Prometheus Cave tour. Saba was my guide and Malkhaz was my driver for all 3 tours and I cannot recommend them enough! I had an amazing week where everything went perfectly and there were no issues whatsoever! All 3 tours were very interesting with great stops and gorgeous views. Additionally, as a woman travelling alone, I never had any issues with anyone anywhere, it was very refreshing! Beka was super responsive and very helpful when answering all of my questions before booking. Saba is incredibly knowledgeable in history and culture and was very easy to talk to. Being a history and archeology nerd myself, I was very happy that Saba was a PhD archeology student and we could talk about nerd stuff together! Malkhaz is a great driver and is very kind. They made a great team and were even nice enough to get to know me and my interests and would suggest other things to see or places to go that I might like. It honestly was like going on a road trip with friends. The only thing is, since the tours are so long (which is fine), make sure to bring snacks for dinner for the drive back to Tbilisi, or try and stop somewhere for food on the way back. I stayed at the Folk Boutique Hotel which is a little further from most things so getting dinner was kind of a pain, so it would have been nice to stop somewhere along the way. However, I definitely could have asked them to stop but I didn't, so that's on me because I know they would have. Overall, I HIGHLY recommend Kartveli, Saba, and Malkhaz and will absolutely book with Kartveli again!

Perfect private day trip to Armenia
I found Kartveli Tours website and contacted them for a private day tour from Tbilisi to Armenia in early May 2022. It was a smooth and clear booking process with quick response and information from the staff. I paid full amount via PayPal 2 days before the trip. On the day, it was perfect starting with a very polite and professional driver picking us up at the hotel in the morning. The car was nice and clean with smooth driving throughout the trip. A local guide joined us after crossing the Armenian border, she was extremely nice, joyful, professional and informative with perfect English. Lunch at a local guesthouse was also great. We visited 4 historical places with guided information and awesome stories from our local guide. The trip was such a life time experience. Way too good beyond I expected.

          Worst Experience Ever
We booked a full day trip to Armenia with Kartveli Tours. Everything was going smooth and they seemed professional until we reached the Georgian-Armenian borders. The Georgian passport control officer claimed that we Lebanese require a VISA to cross the border. We were under the impression that Lebanese acquire VISA upon arrival as many of our friends have been to Armenia from Lebanon without facing any issue. The passport control at the borders were giving us a hard time, so they did not allow us to enter into Armenia. We called the company and explained the situation. The first thing they asked us was to pay the full amount of the trip's cost ($240). We refused at first as it appeared that they were taking advantage of the situation, ripping us off, and not trying to find any solutions. The amount of $240 is worth of one week spending on tourism in Georgia, but we opted for this price thinking that we were dealing with a professional company. It turned out that we weren't. We told the manager Irakli that we understand that you made some arrangements ahead of time for the trip, and we are ready to pay the amount of $120 as a compensation. They asked us to pay $190 without any negotiation, and threatened us with the police (see the screenshot of their email). Companies are rated based on how they treat their customers under uncommon circumstances and situations. In our case, they were unprofessional, aggressive, and hostile. Our advise is never to come close on dealing with Kartveli Tours.

Perfectly organized and surprising trips in spacious cars with excellent guides.
We made three-day tours with this organization: Armenian day tour, Wine tour to Kakheti and Georgian heritage trip. We got before the trips excellent, complete, honest and quick information and response from the manager Beka. (Thank you Beka.) Each trip was perfectly organized with nice and sometimes surprising interesting visits like the varied and copious lunches at local families. Spacious cars with very friendly, helpful, flexible and perfect English speaking guides like Natia. (Thank you Natia.) Who gave us a lot of interesting information about the country, the history of the country, the local people, the religion and so many other things where we were interested in.

          Outstanding!
This was the second time that we used Kartveli Tours and once again it was quite simply outstanding - from start to finish. We took day tours - Kazbegi Adventure and the Kakheti Wine Tour - and had a wonderful time. The tours themselves were supremely professional and, being there during Covid, all health and safety measures were strictly adhered to. We are already looking forward to our next trip!

          Incredible!
We took a day tour to Kazbegi in July and it was unforgettable! We were picked up promptly from our hotel and visited some spectacular locations including a stop for paragliding. The dinner was amazing with lots of options and an amazing view. Beka our guide was incredible. He was patient, articulate and gave wonderful insights into Georgian history and culture which enriched our experience. Also, he is an excellent photographer and knew the best spots for pictures. Prior to the tour, communication was so easy and swift. All our questions were answered in great detail. We honestly fell in love with Georgia and cannot wait to be back!

          Wonders near Gudauri
Despite the fact that I booked the tour off-season in summer I was contacted very fast and all details of my booking and trip were provided so diligently. Even photos of pick-up car and location. We enjoyed wonderful tour to Kazbegi and to other miscellaneous and interesting sights. Our guide Malkhaz who not only drove us to these places but also waited patiently while we were visiting these historical places. We felt completely free and all our inquiries were satisfied at once. Thank you again for such great experience!

          Comfortable experience, beautiful Armenia
The day trip to Armenia was a wonderful experience - very easy, comfortable and professional. Our driver Araik was very helpful, we didn't have to wonder or worry about anything. We had considered renting a car ourselves, but were so glad we did a tour instead: navigating the roads, customs and finding the beautiful sites in the mountains was so much easier with the driver. The company let us pay online and arranged the details promptly. The tour itself is beautiful. This part of Armenia is phenomenal - the green mountains are truly stunning. The three ancient monasteries were very peaceful and beautiful. The local souvenirs were very affordable, the people were welcoming. We finished the day with a late lunch of local shashlik, kebab, bread and salad - absolutely delicious. Highly recommend Kartveli Tours and the specific tour for a comfortable and beautiful cultural experience!

          Quite simply the best!
If you are looking for a company that is extremely professional, goes the extra mile and above all CARES for its customers, look no further. I have much experience of traveling and have worked with many top-class tour companies, and Kartveli is right up there are the top. Irakli is amazing. I can't praise them highly enough...and I don't give praise where it hasn't been earned!

Gudauri to Kazbegi Tour - Awesome day trip!
I did the trip from Gudauri to Kazbegi tour which was such a cool experience during my down day from snowboarding around Gudauri. The tour was super chill and had a great time with my guide Tamo and our driver not only did we check out the sites but I also learnt some history and background of the area. Towards the end of the tour the road was blocked to Gudauri, so we ended up going for lunch to a restaurant that our driver recommended and the food/wine like everywhere in Georgia was amazing. Tamo then organised a way back to Gudauri via the Gondola as the roads was still blocked. Not only is Tamo an awesome tour guide she is also really good when it comes to taking photos)) Highly recommend booking with Kartveli Tours

We had a great one day tour with Beka. Driver and tour guide were prompt and picked us up on time from Tbilisi to Armenia. They will also work with you it the timing doesn’t work for you! Overall great tour with great homemade food! Just please make sure to tip the lady cook she was great and works so hard considering people there making couple dollars a day if that ! The food was Amazing with all fresh ingredients from her yard! I would definitely recommend Beka again!

          All worked out smoothly
I did the unguided tour to Armenia from Tbilisi, which included the three monasteries and the Miyokan museum in Sanahin. Everything met my expectations, the driver arrived on time and did not rush me anywhere. The Miyokan museum was much more interesting than I expected. The driver didn't speak English, but I knew this would be the case. My only complaint is that the driver would sometimes drive faster than the speed limit (I had to ask him to slow down, which was difficult as he didn't speak English). I think the tour owners should ensure the driver complies with all speed limits.

This was the second tour we had taken, our first being the day trip to Kazbegi. We had the opportunity to observe traditional Georgian bread making and visited 4 wineries. Each winery was unique and the drive was so scenic! We had Beka for our tour guide. He was knowledgable about the history of the region and was excellent in communicating which made the tour so enjoyable. He was also an excellent photographer and took many great pictures for us. We had a grand time!

This wine tour was the highlight of our trip to Georgia. Lela was our tour guide and she made the tour comfortable and enjoyable. She was friendly and knowledgeable and a joy to be around. We went to 3 different wineries and also had the opportunity to see traditional Georgian bread being made. We got to taste the fresh bread and the local cheese. On the way back to Tbilisi, we took a scenic drive through the mountains and saw the most beautiful sunset. Lela went above and beyond to make the tour enjoyable. I recommend this tour to anyone visiting the area!
