About the operator
Don’t take it from us – here’s what people have to say about this operator:
- 251courtneym0 contributionsAmazing day trip!Such a great day with guides Song (English) and Vincent (Mandarin)! I highly recommend this Gyeongju day trip. The tour was well organized, with a good amount of time at each stop to learn about the history, explore a bit, and take photos. Song was so kind and knowledgeable about each location. She also had good tips on the best views at each place and helped us all take photos. Note: if you will each lunch with the group (not included, but delicious!) make sure to bring cash to pay, it was about W15,000-20,000 per person depending on what you ordered.Written January 6, 2025
- Q6486QYmihaelam0 contributionsGreat experienceWe had a very pleasant experience visiting the MBC Studios. It was impressive to see the actors and the directors during the rehearsals. One could notice the high professionalism and their striving for perfection. Our tour guide Mr. Joon was very knowledgeable, both in English language and in the K-Drama world, and had a very pleasant, warm and polite attitude. He made us feel welcome.Written January 3, 2025
- Stay370852473200 contributionsGreat places to visit, but would try to find something betterThe tour was fine. I wish there was more of a detailed historical aspect to the places we visited. The tour guides did speak English but it was very basic and found it confusing to follow what they were saying. It felt more like being driven to a place, given a 4-5 sentence summary of something and then told to look around and see things by ourselves.Written January 1, 2025

The tour sites themselves were interesting and well explained by the guides. Lunch setup was good except they didn't take foreign credit cards so had to borrow cash from another member of tour. Bobby Kim is a wonderful Tour Guide ~ he is attentive, committed to service and towards making sure everyone is taken care of. He is knowledgeable and takes pride in providing relevant information so that you leave with a sense of the history of Korea. While travelling alone in South Korea I decided to search for some tours departing from seoul and saw this one. I booked it after reading some reviews and I have to say that the reviews didn't lie. It was a very nice and peaceful experience. No stress, no problems, everything was organized very well.
First we went to Petite France and stayed there for around one hour. I wasn't really impressed by the houses itself but I recommend you to take a walk on "Bonjour walkway", it's like a mini hiking with a nice view.
Next stop was the Nami Island or Naminara republic. It even has it's own currency (don't worry they also accept kor. won) . The island is an amazing peaceful place to walk around and take pictures. It is a bit crowded tho, you have to be patient to take some nice pictures. I just put my camera to the side and enjoyed my walk there. My lunch at the korean restaurant was amazing and you can also dine there alone which is not that common in Korea.
The last stop was the Garden of Morning Calm. It was also a very nice, something I've never seen before. Since it was already dark outside it felt like I was the Alice in wonderland or an Avatar setup. It's a perfect place for couples tho. A bit crowded also.
Our tour guide was Rachel, she was very nice and friendly. She war very helpful and spoke english perfectly.
I really recommend you to book this tour.

This was a great trip. The pickup was at Myeongdong exit 2 which was very close to where our hotel Ibis Ambassador hotel was and they dropped us off around the same place where they pick us up. Our tour guide Jade was excellent, she took good care of the whole group, she gave us suggestions of where to eat, she helped us order our food in Korean and she told us what to look out for during our visit at each of our destination, so we don't miss out on anything. There was plenty of time to walk around at each of the destination. It snow on the day we went, so that made the scenery even prettier. Petit France was a cute place to visit, it so happen we just got done watching the k-drama that filmed there. Nami Island has some great scenery, but i think it would have been prettier during the Fall with all the fall colors on the trees. The show stopper was the Garden of Morning Calm, the light festival it was so pretty, the amount of lights they used was crazy, very well done. I think its better than Disney's Electric Light Parade. I believe the light festival is only available in the months of December to March.

Beautiful experience! Weather was very chilly during this time of the year (late December), so be sure to be in proper attire. Pacing of the tour was just right, having dedicated around 1-3 hours per stop. It would have been better perhaps if more time was dedicated to Nami Island. But overall, it was a great day trip. Our tour guide, Jason, was very approachable and informative.

Departure point - 5/5
I was a bit lost until I called. Very friendly to the person I was talking on the phone. Just know, someone will be there with a Ktourstory flag.
Bus - 4/5
The bus wasn’t really high class, although, it was very clean. The seatbelt where I was sitting wasn’t working properly. I would have to push the button really hard and pull the seat belt hard as well. Bus driver was on point on getting to the places even though there was traffic. 10/10 for the bus driver.
Petite France 5/5
Nice place, especially for photos.
Nami Island 5/5
Not very crowed when I went. This is during the month of Early January. Scenery is very good.
Garden of morning calm - 5/5
Very cold. Beautiful lights!
Above all, I would say this day trip was very Satisfying.

Had a great time on this tour, met people. Our guide (Marco) was absolutely outstanding, he gave us great information (especially for dakgalbi restaurants). The three places visited were absolutely outstanding, the surprise favourite was The garden of morning calm. Would recommend this trip to anyone, so much easier than trying to get to these places on your own

Think of this as a glorified shuttle bus between sights. The tour guide provided a few minutes of guidance for each location but once off the bus you’re on your own. We went during May/June and the inside of the bus was warmer than outside, and at one point we were all sweating! It made the ride miserable. If you go during the warmer weather, find a bus that has “real” air conditioning.

Our tour guide, Mira, was early in the meeting place so we didn't have to worry about finding the bus. She is really kind, helpful, and cheerful. She knows the places well. She can speak English and Chinese so communication was easy. The bus arrived on time and the driver was careful in driving.
Petite France, Nami Island, and Garden of Morning Calm are such wonderful places. I really liked the vintage displays in Petite France. Nami Island is full of amazing scenery and animals. The light displays in Garden of Morning Calm were amazing. Will definitely try to go back during the Spring season.

Loved this day trip. The guide (Yun ju ) Was lovely. Would recommend the nammoon Korean restaurant on Nami island, the food was delicious. The light show at the garden of the morning calm was spectacular, even though it was cold and raining.

Our guide Jun was really friendly and knowledgeable and provided great facts and interesting info about Korea’s history and the places we visited. The little French and Italian villages are so cute and really do look like the real thing! You get enough time to wander around and take plenty of photos. There is a little coffee shop for snacks and there are toilets available.
Suggest you go for the bbq lunch, it’s delicious and well priced! Nami Island is spectacular, it’s a short trip on a ferry across the river and the island is a nature sanctuary and it’s just beautiful. We were there in winter and it was snowing but there were little fire pits placed all around and you could buy marshmallows to toast. The forest and lake and river on both sides are so beautiful. There are toilets available and lovely little coffee shops to stop for a glass of wine, a coffee or hot chocolate and food.
The best part of the trip, IMO, was the Garden of Morning Calm; the light exhibition was spectacular and unlike anything I’ve seen before. The total trip was about 9 hours but it is well worth it to see the countryside and get out of the city. Thoroughly recommend this trip!

Hello, I’m interested with this package. I would like to experience the Cherry Blossom in Nami Island. I will be in Seoul from 6-12th of April 2020. When is the best time to go for the Cherry Blossom in Nami Island within that date? Thank you.

I would trust puilingj2018 since March-April is springtime in South Korea. I was there in early October - hoped to see plenty of Autumn colours in the trees but was a little early for that.

Agree with answer above. You have to have cash to give to the tour guide to pay for you. I think it is around 45000 KRW per person.
