- Tony I0 contributionsYou will learn to Love Cairo!Emo Tours Egypt is a very well run organization, with customer service available all the time and very good people. They are flexible! We were able to ask for specific hours, locations and things to shop for and were accommodated without question. They have very good cars and drivers also. Our guide on our two day trips at Cairo was Mohamed Hamed. He was very professional, very friendly, and a great communicator in multiple languages. He shared great local tips, and has extensive knowledge of historical Egypt. Whether you you interested in sightseeing or learning about modern Egypt he is an excellent guide. On top of that, he went way beyond expectations to help make our trip go smoothly.Written January 21, 2021
- MarnValu0 contributionsGreat Tour With Essam from EMO ToursEssam's love of Egyptian history is contagious. He explained how to identify minaret architecture from the various historical periods. Our driver was highly skilled and kept us safe on the road. The bazaar and museum were also excellent.I would highly recommend this tour!Written February 29, 2020
- Impatientnow0 contributionsOld Museum and Citadel TourSayed Mahmoud was our tour guide and Abdu was our driver. They were both very courteous and provided a lot of information about each location and the city in general. The tour was safe with a great lunch that was provided. Highly recommend using both of these gentlemen for your next tour. Enjoy!Written February 14, 2020
- Alice K0 contributionsOld Cairo shopping TourGreat visit to old Cairo. Get ready to haggle. Our guide was knowledgeable about the old buildings and architecture and asked us what articles we were interested in purchasing. Visiting the market was an experience not to be missed. We ended the visit enjoying mint tea and ambiance at El FishawyWritten November 10, 2019
- l_dalby0 contributionsA good overview of Egyptian History and the main sights of the cityVisited here with our guide Adel. We first visited the museum where we spent around two hours seeing the main sights, (be aware of the additional cost to see the mummy room) this seemed quite rushed but it was a good way to see the main highlights of a giant museum. We then moved on to the Bazaar, where the simply strolled up and down a market road, with lots of hawkers selling their wares. First time I've had the line 'fridge magnet, sir?' For two people that aren't hugely interested in buying tat it was a quick visit. Then lunch in a typical fast food joint round the corner. Lastly we went to the citadel, which was the best bit of the day, where you see a different side of Cairo, up on the hill, you visit a lovely mosque and get a great view of the city. Tour wasn't really a full day, but it was enough for us, as it gets quite tiring. Adel was good and we loved learning about the five pillars of Islam at the mosque.Written September 28, 2019
- bettyr2390 contributionsHow to enjoy EgyptThe market was a lot of fun if you make it that way. We talked to a lot of the vendors and joked with them. Very nice people. Keep in mind this is their living. They will try to push their goods but have fun with them. In the end if you are not happy with the deal just tell them, maybe tomorrow and walk on. The Pyramids were so great to see. I would recommend Audie for the sights only because they know the people and area. Just be sure to have a lot of small bills because everyone wants a tip. Be sure to have hand cleaner, you will use it a lot.Written July 9, 2019
- toyah1340 contributionsCultural highlightsOur driver and guide picked us up at our hotel. We were so glad Shaymaa Hamdi was there to help us navigate the museum. - wademcarlson0 contributionsAn Amazing Experience! The Khan el Kahlili market is something that has to be experienced rather than described. It was amazing, overwhelming, stimulating, fun and confusing all at the same time. What might have been an intimidating experience for first time visitors was made made fun by our awesome guide Rasha. She guided us through a winding maze of streets and shops, helped us negotiate with vendors, covered all of the highlights of the market, and got us back to our hotel safely. If you're planning your first trip to the market I highly recommend Rasha and Emo Tours!Written February 15, 2019
- Christopher P0 contributionsEnjoyed the tour with our great tour guideJust had our 14th Wedding Anniversary tour in Egypt and had our best guide so far Abd El-Wahed Eisa . If you are visiting Egypt, we highly recommend Abd El. He was our guide for 2 out of our 3 day tours and he made it very special. He was not only our guide and egyptologist but also our photographer, director, souvenir consultant, and haggler 😂. He took good care of us and made our anniversary trip very memorable.Written October 18, 2018
- Patty C0 contributionsA better second dayI thought I couldn't have a better day after the pyramids but my second day of the tour was amazing. The collection at the Egyptian museum was absolutely mind blowing and Ehab's explanations gave context to everything I had seen the day before. The citadel followed and it was breathtaking. Again Ehab brought the structure to life when he explained the history behind it. The jaunt through the bazaar was also incredible and Ehab made sure I got a great price for some saffron and hibiscus. The food included with the tour was delicious!!!@ again highly recommend emo tours and especially Ehab!!!!Written May 21, 2018

- Lori W0 contributionsWonderful Tour of Khan El Khalili and More!I booked this tour with Emo Tours and had the most wonderful time. Ahmed Tonsi was my guide and he did better than Great. The tour was completely irganismzed around what I wanted to do. We started with a walking tour of Khan El Khalili Bazaar including primarily parts of the market that most tourists don’t see. Ahmed was great with the vendors and he knew in detail much about this great place. He was also invaluable in helping me get the best prices. We then went to the other side of the market and I was able to find some things for my flat that I really needed. From there we ended the tour with a walk down the famous El Moezz Street before heading back to my hotel. Ahmed was very perceptive and listened to e erything I said, making sure I got to see all the things I was interested in and more. I can not recommend both Ahmed Tonsi and this tour enough.Written February 28, 2018
- _sandhyaranjit0 contributionsExcellent!Had a wonderful day with our guide Ola . She was very knowledgeable, was friendly and made sure that we could see the most important things in the museum, view the citadel with a better understanding and experience the ambience of the marketplace, She took pains to make sure I could have traditional Egyptian vegetarian food, and took great photos for us. Thanks, Ola, for making this an unforgettable experience.Written November 30, 2017

Our guide, Mina was amazing! He conveyed Christian, Muslim, Egyptian history, culture, geography, climate perspectives clearly and respectfully. He also knew all the best places for photos and how to capture the most interesting photos. Egypt is a spectacular destination and an amazing place, especially during Ramadan/Holy Week. We were able to add a third person to our tour at the last minute and he and the driver were happy to oblige.
Definitely a worthwhile tour. Can’t wait for the next one.

Me and my parents had a great time touring old Cairo. Just walking through old Cairo wouldn't have made any sense without a guide, since you would not be provided with any information. Our Guide Mahmoud el Wakeen was very well educated and he explained everything in detail. He was very concerned about our well being and he made sure to give us some time to make wonderful pictures!!!
Thank you Mahmoud!!!

Our guide was very informative. We were not rushed and took our time to visit each of the stops with a very in depth explanation of what we were seeing. The lunch was not that exciting, but it was nice to have something to eat and drink after a long day of touring and walking.

I had a great tour with Mahmoud Anwa my guide he helped make it extra special with his knowledge and humour. We even played dominoes and had coffees. The tour covered all the main sights which you wouldn't find on your own. The lunch was good and this is a cheaper way to cover Cairo than on your own with a guide at each place as I found out in a previous trip. Mohamed Saed our driver was great fun too. I fully recommend this tour and these two guides.

Our guide Sayed Mahmoud was excellent - 5 stars to him. He did not try to sell stuff for commission which was a nice change from all other tours we did.
He took us to all historical places and provided us with background, and even chose the picture spots for us.
Be prepared for hot weather- comfortable shoes, water, hat and comfortable clothing.

Mo Salah is an excellent guide who explained the history of Coptic and Islamic Cairo and gave background of it's relations to the Roman Empire and Europe. He did not take us to any places that tried to sell us stuff and he knew all the tricks of the trade to not pay extra fees in the tourist areas. Mo Salah gets 5 of 5 stars.

The driver and the guide were very polite. The guide wasn't knowledge about the tour and the other guides that we overhear with other groups were giving us more information.
They get 2 stars because we had a really good driver otherwise it would had been one star only. This was my friend's first tour guide experience in Egypt and she was very disappointed.

This tour was awesome, and I really enjoyed it! My guide was Mirna, and the driver was Ahmed. Mirna was a very knowledgeable and super friendly guide, who taught me a lot about Islamic and Coptic traditions in Cairo. I certainly recommend Mary and this tour to everyone!

I will be travelling in a group of 5 people. We would like to visit the citadel, some of the most well know Coptic churches, synagogues and mosques as well as the Bazaar. Can this trip to the bazaar be added in and some of the less well known religious sites be taken out?
Thank You
