Although pricey, it was great to cycle about and get a sense of the city the day we arrived. We always do a cycle tour somewhere new as it's a great way to get a feel for the city, allay any fears about where to...More

Reading some of the five-star review makes me realize the tour guide you have really impacts your impression of the tour. Ours was pretty indifferent, on his phone a lot, and wasn't especially enthusiastic. The result was that our tour was pretty average. I’ve been...More

This is a great way to get a sense of the geography of the city centre. You need to be ready for the rather chaotic traffic behaviour - especially the right turning vehicles coming through the pedestrians and cyclists who are crossing. The real challenge...More

In my review, I included pictures and one of them is me and our guide on our bicycles and you can see that it is a ladies style bike.

I guess it means if you wanted to go in to the Drum Tower or something like that. We were not interested so kept on bicycling. There were no fees associated with just bicycling and seeing the hutongs, etc.

For that tour, there is a 10am start and a 2pm start. So there's none at 9am. :(
